Quote:Doesnt it take like 4 days to earn 1 PvP IO doing tip missions? If that is the case and I want 25 PvP IO's for my PvP toon then I might be done by April 20th 2011?Yes.
Here ya go, my blaster build uses 25 PvPIO's, I don't ask farm for them, I use the market when I have time. Now just how long would that take if I were, to say, do tip missions to get the hero/villian merits to outfit just that toon? Now lets multipy that by about 25 or more toons......
1 PvP IO = 4 Days
25 PvP IO's = 100 Days
It would take me 300 days to PvP IO 3 builds on the same character. o.O -
Just give me a regen brute and I will be happy.
-
Would a WP/Dark/Soul Mastery Tanker with Spiritual Alpha Slot do good in a Fight Club? I was thinking of doing a Buzzsaw build.
-
IMO if you are looking for something to kill regens in duels, I'd say pick Dark over Thermal.
Reasons:
1. Dark has a bigger heal
2. Howling Twilight (Ranged (Targeted Area of Effect) Foe Disorient, -Regeneration, -Recharge, -Speed Ally Resurrect)
3. Twilight Grasp (Ranged Foe -Regeneration, -Damage, -To-Hit Team Heal)
4. Dark Servant (Team Heal)
I think Dark has more to give than thermal towards -regen. Thermal on the other hand is great for -end as well as -regen and Dark has no -recovery power. -
Looking for a good Triform PB build for PvP. Since we now have a 3rd build option I might as well try one. I have been mainly a human PB from lvl 1-50. I did get the Nova and Dwarf form, but just to mess around in and barely used them. Siince slots are limited I mainly slotted my human form and have trouble spreading out my slot to make an effectice build. Any help will work and thanks.

I have an awesome bright foot stomp!
...Runs in a mob... BoOm!!!.... Where did everyone go? -
In My Opinion
PvE (Solo +2/+8)
WS>PB... The large mob sizes and AoE's make me happy.
PvE (Solo +2/+1)
WS<PB... Not enough to buff off of for the WS and I have more fun playing my PB in this setting. I like this for quick missions.
PvE (Team)
WS=PB ... Both bring something equally different to the team. WS will excel in AoE damage while the PB will excel in heavy Single target Damage. The -recharge from the WS will help just as much as the -defense (slotted with -resist procs) when fighting an AV. If I had to pick only one kheldian to fill the last spot in a team, I would pick a WS over a PB.
PvP (Dueling)
WS<PB... PB's ability to buff without a target makes this AT a better in duels
PvP (Zone)
WS<PB... If a WS stops in a zone to heal off the dead or some other buff that requires them to stand still near a target, they will become a target for being grounded to long.
PvP (Arena Team)
WS<PB... AoE's in PvP are weak and Single Target Damage is better.
P.S.I have 2 lvl 50 PB's and one lvl 50 WS, so I speak from personal experience. -
I really like this idea! +1
P.S. Since we got a noncombat pet and a combat pet( buffs), I think we should get another pet that does damage or heals. -
I would like to have joined the theme team, but I have to decline due to my new work hours for the new year.
-
I always wondered how well an all natural team with out a true healer or buffer would do. now that fitness is Inherent, we can all get aidself to help.
-
P.S. That was made prior to the proliferation of PPP and APP so the epic powers can include more.
-
I was planning the something of the same idea for an all natural human supergroup when going rogue came out and I never got the chance. I might just join your theme based SG instead. Listed below are the powers that I felt fit the concept:
Does this fit your concept? -
I have a Dark/Sonic Corr and I would have like to have tried a Rad/Sonic corr. I remember back when a lot of people were making sonic blasts with rad debuffs and I never made one. I always wondered how a Rad Blast and Sonic secondary would play. With -defense in the primary and -resist in the secondary it should mesh well. On my corr I got the pet so I can buff it when solo.
-
I have a Fire/MM/Soul Blaster and I use Oppressive gloom with PSW and it stunns a few and it helps when I solo farm.
Step 1. Build Up/Aim
Step 2. Soul Tentacles
Step 3. Oppressive Gloom/PSW
Step 4. Drain Psyche
Step 5. Fire Ball/RoF/Fire Breath
Step 6. Repeat
I only set it for +1/+6 since anything higher they take longer to kill and they get unstunned and attack back. -
Quote:Did you do a respec? I think mine dropped until I did a respec and now its on all the time.No one has posted anything post I19 to point out that the inherent fitness that we were told would be available in Kheldian forms is not actually working that way.
The buff icons drop when you change forms, and the numbers drop from combat attributes. So, did Castle actually screw up , or is this working as intended? Maybe this is a known bug? -
Should get Cardiac Core Paragon to help with the 7 toggles and 2 travel powers.

Looks like I am moving my bane and widow to the blue side and to virtue.
As for the OP, I dont think one is better than the other. It is which one you like to play. I am a big fan of the banes. I wish they got the heal, but the stealth and ability to do higher single target damage is what I am looking for when soloing. When I am on a team I have a Huntsman build that still surprises me eveytime I use it. -
I totally agree and that is why I placed Targeting Drone or Swap Ammo in there. I wanted to keep the natural theme and since AR or DP dont have build up, I figured this was the best way to give a self buff.
-
Just read someone's post about a natural set and it reminded of this old post and I still want to see this set in the game
-
I think they should make a set that you can choose your pet the same way you do when you do a gladiator match.

Quote:IMO an all human PB is better for PvP. With an all human you dont have to worry about retoggle after changing shapes. I know binds help, but until all the toggles are back you are vulnerable. With keep at only one form I was able to slot better since I did not have to spread out all slots between 3 different forms.Which is a good way to go for a PB in pvp tri-form or human form? I see a lot of people talking about human form. What are its benefits and what are tri-form benefits?
The nova form does way more damage, but cannot take a lot of damage. The dwarf for can take a lot of damage, but cannot dish it out. I believe the PB human form is a perfect medium for my play style. I know people like to shoot from almost 200ft away in nova form, but I like to get in the mix and I like to play aggressive.
