Peacebringer PVP build
Skelbringer, is that you?
If not, look up Letroy on LBX. He's got a pretty robust PvP build on his tri-form PB. Does a lot of damage from squid form, but can handle a fair amount. Switches forms to heal up. Has some good binds to throw up shields as he does so...
Wait...I am starting to think this is you.
Yes Justice, it is me. Thank you for the compliment.
damage procs are what make a pb incredible...u need more
How good is that build for zone play?
My upgraded all human build for PvP...
I tried to do a Tri form and I had trouble with slotting issues, Then I switched to a Human/Dwarf build and I hate to retoggle up after switching. I decided to make an all human build and slot it the best I can. When I zone PvP I like to be on a team since I get buffs for each member on the team. Since there are a lot of Scrappers and Blasters in zone I get a nice resistance buff. I have been on a team with Defenders and Tankers only and had a nice damage buff.
I picked up Gleaming Bolt since I had one power choice and didnt know what to get. I know that sounds weird for a Kheldian to have a extra power after all powers were picked. I am glad I got it, because the way I slotted it helps me out in PvP. 2 HO's, 3 Damage Procs and a Hold Proc. The average damage of the attack is 70 points of damage and with the procs it surprises players and I use it a lot since it recharges fast.
70(pwr dmg) + 70(proc dmg) + 70(proc dmg) + 100(proc dmg) = 310 dmg(on average)
I basically built my PB with a blaster in mind. I know I do a lot less damage compared to a blaster, but my power pools are what I select on my blasters.
Power pools are:
Speed
Hasten
Super Speed
Fitness
Hurdle
Health
Stamina
Leaping
Combat Jump
Super Jump
Acro
Leadership
Maneuvers
Tactics
Picked Quantum Flight for my phase escape in zone and I use it when I get jumped. I always forget that it wastes a lot of end and I have to fly to safety and flight is very slow. I also use essence boost whenever it is up so I have 2154 hp and stalker AS's only take away 1/4 of my HP and I am back to 100% after using reform essence that recharges every 28 seconds. I usually sit around 1550 HP without essence boost and that is when I am most cautious. Essence Boost has a down time of 45 seconds on my build. I went with PvP IO's since I had them on another toon that reached 400rep and I just stripped that AT and placed them on my PB. My PB now has 400 rep and I dont want to strip him now since I have to much fun on him.
I hope this could help you a little bit in deciding how to build your PB for PvP.

Are any of the builds I find on the forum still viable? I'm finally doing the big push to get this toon pvp ready and I'd like to see what other ppl are successful with and see if I can adapt to it or adapt it to mine.

Horrible! waste of influence, should hand it over and i'll make it way cheaper and tri form... I use all three forms on mine, Child of The Atom. Nova should be your primary damage, dwarf to escape, and human to browse around...
Kheldians should never have to die in battle unless ganked by a group. And even so, they are escape artists if done right... three heals, lots of damage from Nova, and good res on human form. only weakness for kheldian should be psy damage, they have no res to that what so ever... but even so, all the heal and high hp should do it to stay alive and or kill...

People that pvp successfully with PB's do it with a variety of builds. I've never pulled ideas from this forum so I don't know if the builds you saw are viable. I'm not going to tell you that my way is the best because at the end of the day YOU have to pick the choice that fits your playstyle and pull it off. In order to help you adapt your build could you tell us the basic concept behind the build you're using now? Is it All-Human, Bi-form, or Tri-form? There are good ways to make any of those options work but they are going to look radically different in mids. We can avoid arguments over which method is best and focus on the most useful power/slotting choices for you this way.

Human form is viable when proc'd out and is much more durable than even dwarf now with i19. The only reason to take dwarf now is for the heal and the TP for escape (not that I would have recommended it for anything other than that before i19.)
With i19 you can easily fit leadership and fighting in a human form PB. That will give you anywhere from 45-50 res in PVP (to all) depending on slotting. With lightform you'll be floating between 55-58 to all but psi.
As Dawun says above, there are many ways to build and play your PB in PVP. Mostly human is mine, others will find success with other builds.

Ok here's what my planned build was. After planning this build and figuring wth I like to live on the edge sometimes, I pooled my resources and got about half of this build completed. I only have 1 set of gladiators jav slotted, it's in nova blast, and 1 set of Javelin volley slotted. The rest of the ST range attacks have devastations slotted. Annnnnd there's no purples slotted yet either.
So far with it my forays in pvp have been mixed. I have a pretty good survivability rate with keybinds for the forms and quick heals and other clickys to mininmize my time out of nova. The offensive side tho is laking. Anyone have some wisdom they could drop on me? Would this not yet fulfilled build have the offensive force I'm looking for?

Having PvP'd with my PB for a good 3 years or so I can say with quite a bit of confidence that you'll always find the offense "lacking". I've tried so many builds and, in the end, the damage modifier on a PB is just too low. You can have plenty of steady, quck re-charging damage and throw procs in all you want, but you just don't have quite the "burst" damage of other ATs.
That said, I've still had a great time, gotten plenty of kills, been killed plenty and most importantly had fun.
In its current format (PvP), I use a nova-heavy build and hover blast most of the time from long range. The human and dwarf powers are supplementary and are useful for being set bonus camels etc.
Did you build for ranged def? My focus first was for range in my powers then it was +HP and recharge. Should I pick up Raidant strike? I'm kind of thinking I should. My tactics so far is to fight from the air and when others fly after I dont really have a way to keep them from coming after me.
Well gotta get back to work.
Shhhhh don't tell my boss

melee'ing isnt the best idea.
+HP first, then +range, +dmg, +acc, +rchg
Swap concealment pool for leadership. You have inherent phase so you really don't need concealment pool. The majority of players have perception if they didn't have it before i19 dropped so you aren't hiding from anyone unless you're a VEAT or Stalker. Even if you only took concealment to mule IO's, veng would benefit the forms and tactics would help for those moments when you choose to be in human form. You can move your IO's to maneuvers and veng, add the extra lotg to combat flight, and remove the Zephyr +travel from that power. I would also focus on +HP first, then balance +range, +dmg, +acc, +rchg like Dread said and remove ranged defense bonuses since they are a waste for a PB in PvP.

Thanks for your replies. I really want to try to make this toon work better in PVP.
If I was building a pvp pb, I would shoot for 47.5% global range boost.
(thats 7.5% x 5 and 10% x 1)
2 glad javs and/or 2 jav volleys give the 7.5's
and 3 Glad Net's for the 10% (in Incandescent Strike)
and 1~3 Centrioles in your primary attacks.
As fas as office map. I would do nothing but play Taunt bot so a 4~6 slotted Antagonize would be nice..
perma jump is ---> /up 1
Looking for a good Triform PB build for PvP. Since we now have a 3rd build option I might as well try one. I have been mainly a human PB from lvl 1-50. I did get the Nova and Dwarf form, but just to mess around in and barely used them. Siince slots are limited I mainly slotted my human form and have trouble spreading out my slot to make an effectice build. Any help will work and thanks.
I love my Khelds. They are a hard toon to master but once mastered they are very helpful to a team. I am always up for a challenge, so I built a PvP build. Just because people underestimate them. I have built up a PvP build for my PB and of course it is a master of range and as I call Stalker of the skies. I am on Liberty server, and PvP is basically dead. I only get arena matches, with sg and a few other people. When we roll an outdoor map, I am golden. Yet when an office map is rolled or cave map, it gets alot tougher. I am more likely to die alot more. Please look over my build, see if there are some improvements, for more survivability in smaller maps. Also some ideas to get max defeats in close quarters where range isn't able to be utilized.
I have multiple Macro's for switching forms. Please list ones that you might think would be beneficial. My style for close combat is IS GE and GB, switch to nova when I can. I cycle through the heals. Phase is my friend. To the pvp PB out there, which heal do you go for first? Sublimination, Reform Essence. Dawun, I have heard of your PB rep. 3 stalkers at one time is impressive. If you could critique and throw some ideas my way please do.
