Weekly Theme Team

Now that i've settled into my humble new abode can start relaxing and enjoying having place to myself. Although to fight off boredom I was sitting here thinking up a new toon since I have two spots left on Triumph and was wondering if anybody would be interested in some sort of static theme team where we'd meet once a week for like 3 hours and just team and have fun do some TFs here and there.

So guess what i'm trying to say is, anybody interested in this? What days/times you available? Any ideas for themes, I have a few (Golden Age, Monsters/Misfits, Various Element themes)?

I work early so i'm free pretty much all afternoon to early evening, once I get a schedule for new job i'll know what two days I have off and the nights beforehand can stay up till whenever. But just getting a feel for if people are down for this before I go trying to organize it!

I'd not mind it. I used to do this on Champion back in the day. So yes I am interested. Days for me that work best are Friday & Saturday usually after 8pm EST. I typically try and help deal with the kids on the weekends during the day time, and stay up later on Friday and Saturday. Sometimes I'm on Moday and Tuesday a little after work. Themes, I've done book themes, movie themes, vampires, CoT theme, all illusion, magic theme. I'm up for nearly anything that is not restricting on the power pool choices.

How about a Marvel comics theme? Obviously, we'd have to not use any Marvel character names or likenesses but we can have it as close as possible w/o crossing that line. Thoughts?

Ehh, as much as I enjoy Marvel comics and there are a great deal of ones I could emulate i'd rather have a more original concept than that.

I agree I love DC and Marvel comics and have many that I would emulate, but something else would be a bit more original. What about perhaps the idea of "retired" heroes/villians that decide to return to the line of duty/crime? Or even possibly replacement "fillin" heroes/villians for yes similar to a recent kids movie have decided to take over for a hero/villian that has decided to step down and retire?

Other than that we could make "most unlikely to be a hero" themed team make these heroes that really look like the last person/being that you would expect to be saving your life or stopping crime.

I do like that idea, the everyday kind of man as Superhero. Especially with some custom weapons like shovels and wrenches and manhole covers. A lot of costume pieces that hardly get used to like themed hats and helmets. Could have construction workers, police officers, janitors, ect. I think that's neat idea. I'll mess around in costume creator see what other things could make.

After playing around a lot of options for the team, everyone would be Natural origin with no actual like superhuman powers but plenty of sets to choose from still. We'll start in Praetoria so you can make any kind of AT you want and then we'd move to Heroes after level 20.

Sets you could use are any weapon set (Broad Sword, Katana, Dual Blades, Claws, Battle Axe, War Mace, Archery, Assault Rifle, Dual Pistols), Willpower, Super Reflexes, Ninjitsu, Super Strength, Martial Arts, any MM set sans Demons and Zombies, Traps, Trick Arrow, Devices.

Made a DP/Devices blast for the team called Help Desk, very Geek Squad looking guy with Uzi's.

I like it MagentaBolt. There is the whole geek squad theme we could try lol (I am tech support for a local hospital)

I would be up for this Magenta. I was in an all Troll Girl theme group through HUB but that died fast. Talk to me in game for ideas.

Hmm..I may have a level 5 languishing in Preatoria right now that would work for this. Was a night decided on yet?

I have made T. Striker a lawyer with a chinese broadsword that practices ninjitsu being a lawyer he is a sneaky stalker.

Yeah not starting till first weekend in December, prolly going to do Friday nights. And I put Super Strength in there cause it's a good subsitute for a "brawler" type of character that just beats people up but doesn't know crazy kung fu kicks! =P

Also the theme has been kinda thrown into two that we like, so whatever you guys are deciding is what we'll go with. Choices between the "natural" non-heroes like the idea above we had and discussed. Or Praetorian Versions of your Main/Favorite character (I know some have done this already, or thought about it). Feel free to message me in game with questions or on here, also start in Praetoria so we can get any ATs available together, and go through Tutorial we'll start up at level 2 that Friday once we decide on which of those themes we're going with.

Gimmie a yell on here or in game with your toon name and build so we can see what everybody has, also which theme going for.

I was planning the something of the same idea for an all natural human supergroup when going rogue came out and I never got the chance. I might just join your theme based SG instead. Listed below are the powers that I felt fit the concept:

P.S. That was made prior to the proliferation of PPP and APP so the epic powers can include more.

I had made my katana/ super reflex stalker but I've gone up to level 18 with him now. I'm all for both concepts. Those powers listed make sense to me.

I always wondered how well an all natural team with out a true healer or buffer would do. now that fitness is Inherent, we can all get aidself to help.

Since the release of Going Rogue I was thinking of making a static team with a theme. I am a like the idea of Tanker Tuesday’s. I was thinking of doing a Melee team, but could not decide between the AT’s. Then it came to me and the light bulb went off. Each of the 4 melee types has some of the same powers and how about making a team with all the same melee and armor. I like the idea of making Kinetic Melee and Willpower Armor AT’s with Power Master, Body Mastery or Mu Mastery epic powers. My idea of a story line is Alien based and they arrive in Praetoria.

The Species
Willpower/Kinetic Melee (Tanker)
Species Elders- with Age they gain a tough skin and become harder to kill; however the damage is not as strong as when they are younger. The Elders are the teachers of the race and they are treated with a great amount of respect. When an Elder speaks their voice is almost intoxicating and everyone will stop and listen. The species continues to grow throughout their life span and elders are extremely taller than the rest of the species.

Kinetic Melee /Willpower (Brute)
Species Males – the Males in their prime can do massive damage and have incredible resistance to injury. The male ancestors of this species were the hunters and protectors of the tribes and the draw their strength from the desire to protect everyone of their race.

Kinetic Melee /Willpower (Scrapper)
Species Females-the Females are warriors like the males; however not as durable as the males. They do have the natural ability that the males do not have. They possess the ability to do double damage every so often when engaged in battle. It is believed to be a surge of power is the reason of the damage increase.

Kinetic Melee /Willpower (Stalker)
Species Younglings- when they are young they produce an over abundance of kinetic energy and can do amazing damage. The ancestors of the species devolved the ability to stay hidden as a child to protect from being eaten by predators since the defense of the younglings is very weaker than an adult. They are very hyper and adults have trouble keeping them in line. The soothing voice of the Elders is the only way the younglings will listen and calm down.

Story idea:
They are still a primal species and their planet was desired for their resources by another alien species. The invading species desired the planet so much; however refused to exterminate the natural inhabitance and decided to relocate the species to different planets with similar atmospheric conditions. A small tribe arrived in Praetoria and they are trying to learn about the new culture and begin a new life.

Physical Characteristics:
Hair: White or Light Blue - The culture shaves the heads of males and females, but might change in Praetoria.
Skin Color: Shades of Blue or Gray
Ears: Pointed
Life Span: Average of 200 years.
Younglings: 1-50 years
Adults: 51-150 years
Elders: 151-200 years
Travel Power: Due to the gravity being weaker in Praetoria than their home world they gained the ability leap farther and run faster.


P.S. I tried this on Virture and I could not get into the RPing so I just wan to stick to a theme base team.

Aumakua I'd "bite" on that idea as well. I'd be happy to make the brute or stalker for that idea.

Soooooo....what's da theme and what time do you plan to run MB???
