EA has worse Defence than SR. EA Has Conserve Power, and an End Drain AoE, as well as an amazing t9 - AND Stealth. SR has a bit of +recharge. If they gave SR Stealth, and two +end powers, THEN it may be reasonable to whine about EA having lower Defence.

DM goes well with EA, and it has a heal too -
Once you start stacking the siphon speeds then a thirs recharge is rather pointless as it can be up for pretty much every other mob with ease as really with a full FS each mob wouldn't take long!

presence can be very useful but TBH i'd really consider them as something extra. If you plan on pvP'ing at a realtively low level, say in SC then you'd probably have to take a hit on your build to get it working well. Base accuracy is horrid and the fear duration isn't very good. You'd probably be better slotting for to-hitdebuff and use that with your EA defences.

No, he's not. Combined with other toggles in the Invuln set a single resistance SO will take you to the cap.

Well, for what it's worth, a Stalker using everything available to him can always get an increased stealth over and above anything any one person can get and you won't see him without some sort of external help. bascially SAtalkers get the only real stealth ability that is stackable. hell some Stalkers even take Grabt invis just to help other stalkers out. You'll need Tactics and probably IR goggles as well as some sort of external buff such as clear mind or stacked tactics from someone else to see him.

I never bothered with The Net but I do have Flash Arrow slotted.

oil Slick and Disruption Arrow are targeted AoE's as is Rain of Arrows.

if you're going down the leadership line then you need Stamina IMO. I don't have it but I only run hover as my only toggle so can easily get away with Vigilance. In fact i think I only have 1 End Red in my entire build although I do have Conserve Power for those monets after I've dropped Emp Arrow.
Flash arrow is an OK debuff but AFAIK if you get a proc it'll aggro. I do say AFAIK because I'm not 100% sure. Ice arrow is overlapping and you can hold an lt or minion for ages with power boost if so desired. Acid Arrow needs accuracy and it's AoE isn't very big either. It should take Acc recipe IO's, can't see why it shouldn't. -
Will people stop giving Vigilance a hard time! it allows my Ta/pointy Sticks to function in teams of 3 or more without end issues and not take Stamina. I like it just the way it is. now if they wanted to improve it, having your debuffs/buffs increasing in power as the teams end goes down would be perfectly welcome.

it's very different to mine as well, although I hardly have any IO's slotted apart from Ghost widows embrace into ice Arrow and the chance for smashing in Glue I think.

I always try to cycle through the mob with the tab key at least 3-5 times. The targetting seems to run in the same order for everyone. if you target the second or third lt if there is one you're less likely to get your anchor killed within the first 10 seconds of the fight.

Indeed, Rad Aoe's coupled with FS can make for some impressive damage for a Defender (although you shouldn't ignore the debuffs in favour of Damage) with irradiate and Neutron bomb as well as some impressive spike damage.

The problem with defence based sets is that they only really shine when you get So's and have all the powers 3 slotted with SOs/IOs. before that they're a bit [censored] TBH.
I managed on my DM/EA brute (which, afaik has worse Def figures than a SR scrapper) with just Siphon Life and whatever greens I got dropped. -

This works surprisingly well, on a mob you'll sometimes see 3-4 spikes within a few seconds of laying it down. i've seen 5 once on the first tick! -
It should be possible to go for a staminaless build with EA, but it will probably depend on the +recharge you get from any sets and the end saved through your sets. My DM/EA doesn't have stamina but the DM End boost is very useful for those 'down time' moments.

I love it because it allows my TA/Archery Def to go without Stamina. I really notice the difference in small teams and when I'm in a big team my end bar hardly moves at all.

One more thing, if you can work in a tech based origin (or don't really care what origin he/she is) then tech's inherent taser thingy can and will light oil slick, when it's not affected by the bug.

Unless it's been fixed in i11 (and I haven't heard that it has) then all your pets will run away from oil Slick. just to make you aware.
