Well to 6-slot attacks is okay, but 1 Acc is enough for PvE, specially with a primary that even gives -def with each hit.

so for an Attack I'd say 1 Acc(Enough for PvE)3 Damages(Max out damage)2 endredux or 1 endredux and rechredux

And for defense toggles, 2 End redux and 3 defense.

also, I think the travel powers are picked way too late in the build and you dont have any epic powers from the EPP at all

But some people like to delay their travel power to the later levels for some reason instead of getting it asap, so that's just my opinion really.

I've just commented on the most noticable "Strange things", I might add more critique later

Oh and super speed is overslotted, you dont notice the difference after 2 speed enhs, really, and hasten should only be slotted with 3 rech enhs, the fourth one barely does anything so it's a waste, try to read up on ED(enhancement diversification).

Thanks for the info, more is welcome. normally i take travel powers early. but sr is a entirely different beast when it comes to slotting. yeah still learning about ed (have read up about it) but this is still pretty much a work in progress build. also here is take 2: travel power still pretty damn late. gonna see how it goes with quickness,sprint and swift.

Defense Debuff IOs are a waste in your attacks, better slotting with Recharge and/or end redux. Don't need both hack and slash, with quickness and hasten your attacks are up in plenty of time.

Combat Jumping would be far superior to hurdle, higher jump and it adds to defense.

Practiced Brawler only needs one recharge in it with quickness and hasten. Your toggles definitely don't need 2 endredux (its far more beneficial slotting attacks for endredux if you have end problems) Superspeed doesn't need any slots in it (and doesn't need any endredux, if you fight with it on then you will be slower due to the suppression than if you had it turned off)

I find Medicine Pool invaluable for saving on downtime in missions

Additionally, if you manage to three slot swift, quickness and sprint with Run Speed IO's, you'll pretty much be at SS levels anyway. Then, if you activate Elude, you'll be at the speed cap. So if you don't want to take a travel power it's a perfect valid tactic for a SR and there would be no travel suppresion either, just in case you did decide to go into PvP later. It'd also save you a couple of power choices making it easier to squeeze in the Medicine pool.

from what i'm reading here, it seems i gimped the build quite badly. fortunately it's not an issue seeing as the character is only level 8 so far, so redoing the build and starting over is not a big train smash

If you are only L8 then you aren't gimped as you will need hack and slash early on. Instead of a travel power you can use the temps from Safeguards. Just will need a respec later on to rebuild

Unslotted Superspeed adds around 50mph

3 slotted sprint, swift, quickness add around 35mph

Elude won't take you to speed cap unless you slot that for run speed too.

Awful lot of slots to replace one power

For what I see on this build, your damage outburst is not going to compensate your low defence and lack of self heal. If you don't want to load your SR withs sets to boost defence and/or regeneration and/or recovery, you definitely (even if you use the mentioned sets I should say) self Healing (Aid Self).

I'd also personally ditch Recall Friend, Slash, Hurdle, Hasten and Super Speed and go for CJ/SJ for travel power plus Medicine Pool and Focused Accuracy if your endurance can afford it. Still, you can do many improvements to your scrapper wth the right sets, which are always helpful to plan ahead so you know what are you aiming for.

As has been mentioned before, def debuff enhancements are a waste in Broad Sword, if you are going for regular IO's or SO's, you'll be far better with the standard 1xAcc / 1xRchg / 1xednrdx / 3xdmg

Yes I am missing elude, no it doesn't worry me. I should be over the soft cap of defence anyway

That's probably the best BS/SR build I've seen, that's going to be the heck of a scrapper man, looking forward teaming with him.

thats nigh on identical to my original BS/SR build Cynic, except I used Gift of The Ancients in the Autos instead of Serendipitys, I am also toying with going travel powerless on mine though.

Well I am going for a travelpowerless (is that a word, well it is now! ) BS/ SR toon. He's at level 25 now, it got swift, sprint and Quickness three slotted with speed enhancements, and he clocks at 44 mph with all three on. I do enjoy him, mind you he is mostly concept based. He has good damage and thanks to quickness a constant recharge of 20 %. I might need some endurance reduction enhancements when i get to level 26. So far he's been fun to play.

I do find that the SR side needs good slotting, if you're hit you're almost squishy and dead
