I'd love to be able to kick the Architect Manager to my inactive list. /signed.

I agree, a revamp might be in order for Skyway. Maybe boost the level range, make it all a response to the events of the Sutter TF perhaps? Not totally ruined, but large damaged areas, where you might even fight Sky raiders or remnant IDF via a contact.
Heck, have the Sky Raiders trying to build some kind of base there, taking advantage of the madness. i dunno.
it does need something though. -
Of course, if they just gave tough a less stupid animation that would help too.
-
I've been playing a TW/Invuln Brute myself, I didn't have much trouble with endurance after hitting the SO range, but I did slot the attacks with 2 End Reduction SOs rather than my usual 1.
of course, now that I've gotten her to incarnate content, it seems that invuln doesn't cut the mustard there with SOs and Common IOs, but that may be the lack of level shifts talking as well.
But overall it was an enjoyable experience, and I actually feel powerful playing it, which is a nice touch. -
I'll have to agree with what Leo and Bradley said for the most part, a lot of the powers we have are in a good place, and the presence pool is really out of place the way you're presenting it, as there's no reason for anyone NOT to take those powers, and the existing presence pool has some good uses.
I would like an-zone teleport though, that uses some kind of waypoints. Each sub-area in z zone has a marker on the map, between those and a few major points of interest like trainers, hospital and university, you'd be able to get anywhere int he zone pretty quick if it were implemented well.
I do like the idea of a resistance toggle of Leadership too, but it would have to work against more than two damage types to compare to Weave. Probably at least Energy.
As Bradley said, Exploit Weakness wouldn't work as is, but it could work as a build-up style click, like his more defensive suggestion. A good pick for the builds that don't get a build-up like power.
As an aside, i'd love to see more power pools all over the place. Maybe ones that only unlock after doing certain arcs, on either side so we can avoid the problem of having to go Villain for Scorpion Shield. heck, incorporate some of the Day Job temp powers into them. Do an arc involving helping out the Paragon police? gain access to a power pool containing a baton attack, tear gas, that sort of thing. Redside, you could get the same pool by raiding a PPD station as part of an arc. As opposed to just a temp power with X uses, you could choose to make it part of your character. Sure there are places where we already don't have enough power picks, but it could be interesting. -
Quote:We sort of already have this in the form of Safeguard/mayhem Rewards in the mid levels, I know at least one of them gives you a Self-Rez that lasts for quite a while. We already have this on the Paragon Rewards tree - [Return to Battle]. I'm not sure if that would make this more or less likely to be made available via in-game means.
But I'd be cool with more accolade powers. -
I think it's because Rularru is an Ascended being, a Well in it's own right. With Tyrant being the Champion of our Well, that could have even worse consequences. Diabolique, while powerful due to her link to Mot, wasn't the Well's Champion, making it safer to use against her. Probably not 100%, but still your best bet.

Quote:Or they could just auto-exemplar you down to the max level for the original. Sure you don't get to save the AP Bank with your fancy incarnate powers, but it would probably be easier.Randomizing the existing Mayhem/Safeguards, a brilliant way to get around lack of Oro of course the early maps would need new versions with cap level enemies.
Of course, with the upgrades the Trolls and Clockwork got in SSA2, it might be that hard. -
I would approve of this as well. Why can't I have a bow that shoots lightning? Or energy pistols?
-
Adverts for other NCSoft games could be cool. But I doubt they'll try to get the outside sponsors again simply because of how meh a response they got from advertisers.
But I would encourage them to hold contests every so often for more billboards like the previous one. More is good. -
Yeah I just finished flashbacking the Night Ward on my Kin/Energy Scrapper. All in all it was fairly fun, but those last couple missions really do need warnings. I Barely managed the three-malaise fight after 3 attempts. I tried to get the knights up there to help, but they died on the way.
Then that last fight against Lamashtu and such was insane. But I eventually managed it after a few deaths and several trays of inspirations. *shrug*
But yes, if an EB is going to spawn, or three bosses are going to spawn with bosses OFF, you need to tell people that they might want some help, because we can never count on NPC aid being useful.
Especially when they still can't follow me with energy cloak on. -
I totally agree. I mean, i think I've seen a few places that still sell time cards for this game, but that might just be NCSoft cards. But either introducing actual point cards, or a way to use said time cards for points would be pretty awesome.

Given how British everything is in Night Ward, and it's supposed not that far from the other playable parts of Praetoria, it makes me think that the playable parts of Praetoria are in fact in Britain. It's never really specified after all, and they tell you very little about anything else in the world, though the airstrips imply there's something out there besides DE-Infested wilderness.
-
I've found myself enjoy everything that's come up so far in this thread, and want to add my support.
I also want to mention that Trilogy, the semi-hidden Night Ward contact, is awesome. We need more somewhat tongue-in-cheek content to balance out the really heavy stuff going on I say. -

Quote:At least the Ascension armor was account-wide. These new ones should work the same way, you get them once, it's unlocked for your account. MAYBE require other characters to get their alpha slot unlocked first, but don't make a character runt he actual trial to make them available. Both trial-locked costume parts annoy me on principal, moreso thanks to their stupidly stupidly stupid chance of stupid drop rate.
As if the Ascension armour wasn't bad enough...
They really should have been treated just like the Ascension armor, purchase or recipe drop. -
Kinda peeved that I bought a costume slot last week, and they're on sale now this week.
Then I bought one on sale, now I have them all. Just need stuff to put in them. -
Quote:Wait, can you unlock his pistols with Emp merits now? Cause I've got a DP Fender sitting at low incarnate that might be worthwhile on. Not that I ever play her, storm isn't as fun as i thought it might be...http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...ostcount=10236
Obviously it's not being wielded by a player there, but the unlock looks the same, and is colorable. You can unlock it with a recipe which drops in Magisterium (currently going for ~900 million, sheesh - hopefully that will drop once people stop farming the first phase and figure out how to complete it consistently?), or you can unlock it with 10 Empyrean merits, but only on a character that has completed the Magisterium trial. Maelstrom's Pistols 2.0, basically. -
I'm just annoyed that they still haven't told us how the Celestial set will be coming back, because I can't afford the 7 tokens I'd need to get it in the next week.
-
Cute, I like it.
We are in need of some more IO sets for some categories though.
Recluse's Web? Hero One's Vigilance? Tyrant's Fury? Machination of Nemesis?
Why just the Phalanx/Arachnos? Let's get every major hero/villain we can in on this! -
I think that currently, you get the Reward Token on the day you're charged for your sub, or would be charged if you were paying monthly and are actually paying 3 or 6 months at a time.
You get your free points on the 15th of each month I think, and if you'd get your token before the 15th, you get it then.
I think. -
A leaked power pool does point to possibly origin-based power pools, but they would still be available to everyone.
Leaving Origin as a flavor piece is good, it's one less thing for minmaxers to go nuts about. Right now the ONLY thing it affects is if your veteran Nemesis Staff or Blackwand is better. And which stores you have to remember to shop at for DOs and SOs. -
1) Power Pool Customization
2) More Costumes, More Hair, More Weapons
3) Minor quality of life upgrades.
-As far as this goes, i'm talking about some simple fixes like doing something about the stupid little fedex missions to a security guard or PvP contact. Either remove them totally, or just make it a mission where the contact who gave it to you hands you a written infodump about it and you don't have to go anywhere.
4) Major quality of life upgrades
-Stuff that takes more work. The ability to send stacks of salvage through the email system, stuff like that.
5) Salvage Updates
-It's insane that there's common salvage on the AH costing more than some rare salvage. Also insane is that we can buy certain pieces of salvage directly with AE tickets, but only Uncommon and Rare. You think they'd make you gamble on those, not the common stuff. Because i can end up spending more tickets to get the one piece of common salvage I need, than it would cost to get one Rare piece.
6) Set IO Level Normalization
-Bad enough that Set IOs are basically unsellable at any level but max if it's something you don't need, but the fact that they come at every level instead of every 5 like normal IOs just clutters things up.
7) A new 'active' zone.
-I've never really been in Recluse's victory, I don't PvP. but what I do know, about how it will shift appearances based on who's doing well where, sounds like it would be fun to have in a revamped hazard zone like Boomtown.
