Do the Talons herald the future?

So, running SSA#2, I ran into a certain significant spoiler, but more interesting to me was the backup, a Talon Siren, who had some *awesome* power effects in every sense of the word. Not only did she have awesome visual effects of literally beating me up with musical notation, she was actually *singing* said notes audibly as well.

More interesting than that even, though, was the fact that she had nearly a full powerset's worth of unique abilities herself.

Between this and the vague hints of "Autumnal Control" and "Autumnal Assault" from Sorceress Serene and the Diviner mobs afterwards, and the devs have been giving new powers to NPCs before we PCs get them (Penny/Psi Melee, Pendragon/Absorb, Everbody and Their Second Cousin/Staff Melee), I have to wonder if these are intended to be stuff that we can expect to see as future powersets. Because seriously, weaponized *music* is possibly one of the cooler potential powersets I've heard of.

Also, one can't help but think that listening to someone singing their sonic powers would be more pleasant than the shrieking racket of Sound Blast.

Me, personally, it's not the first choice I would give if asked "What would you like to see" (as it sounds like a slightly different sonic set with different fx)

I kind of hope so.

Thought I would hope that the apparent "Song Blast/manipulation" would involve at least one animation/sound customization where we get a guitar.

The banshees in Night Ward have some of these powers too I believe.

If they release a power set like this I may have to reroll my first toon ever. Archery/Sonic Defender, but I wanted her to sing more than shriek.

There is a player that I saw recently that came back to the game... He played a character named Hairband Rocker. The character always spoke with little musical notes preceding and ending everything typed. I loved that character, and it wasn't even mine

I would love to see this powerset find it's way into the players hands.

Perhaps we could get this as alternate animations for the current Sonic attacks?

The animations would be great, but the sound effects would be even better. Though I'm not sure we have the tech for that.

I think the game lore goes as in the Siren's sold their soul for that power and when they die they become the Banshees.

I am experiencing physical pain every time someone puts an apostrophe on Sirens.

And just like that, I revealed my weakness which is way crappier than kryptonite.

UGH WANT SO BAD, i saw it in beta but because it was on an NPC, i figured i was SOL.

also, any screenies of the power fx?

I want the new "empowered by the Well" aura as well.

There were some examples above of folks spelling "sirens" (plural) as "siren's", without any possessive object in the sentence.

Beast Mastery / Song Manipulation mastermind. Charming princes, Ludwigian castles, and Sir Elton John not included. But I'd still roll it.
