Targeting, are yo fighting Arachnos, some of their bosses have a Placate, which will force you off target.
Or some enemeis with a taunt? -
Comixology, or atleast, the app on my Android phone are not doing day of release digitals.
Which is a shame.
EDIT: Never mind that, just looked at my phone, and the new Justice League 01 is avilable for $3.99, may be purchasing this... -
So, SCS have forceably arranged a sit in for me on Saturday, I don't think i can make it back from Birmingham to essex on an hours notice which is what they'll give me
So I guess yet again, i'll be missing out, next year, defo -
The one shot badges, like the Anniversary badges need to be account wide.
Beyond that, theres not many that make sense to be account wide. -
I'm excited about this, but I'm not sure how I can juggle 3 MMOs come release time for the 2 in-production ones I'm following.
Still, assuming it keeps the same model as the last, its handy as a very casual game for when i'm a bit down on CoH. -

Mosquitos without the common decency to carry maleria too!

What serer and side do you have your guys on, that often helps with how to find teams.
Also join your servers global chat channels, often teams are organised through them.
As For Demons/Dark, I havent updated my build et, to match a few changes im planning on making, so wont post it, but they can be very very powerful with IOs, but are good on just SOs too.
Slot end reduction in the Pets as they are abit hungry, and read Master Zaprobo's guide to MMs, I believe he has a section in there on useful binds (the threads at the top if this forum section) leverage Bodyguard Mode and good pet commands is the key to any good MM. -
While a good idea, I would not be for it, simply because I play with no sound.
And I could imagine the star dropping to me as I'm on a splash screen, or whatever and getting completely flamed by people for not hearing the sound.
Clearly the screen should shake violently. -
My Demons/Dark functions quite well in both BAF and Lambda, I haven't tortured myself with enough Keyes runs to comment really.
I know the generally adopted tactic Union during a Lamda, and I will act counterintuively to that, if the team goes one way, I'll trundle off the other on my own. If I get a follower, thats good, if not, I'm a slow moving dervish of destruction. I even do this for the durret destruction portion, since my pets won't keep up with the team normally.
I'll take out 2 or 3 of the collectables on my own doing this, even with stopping to defeat things on the way, though I find the Lab section rather than Warehouse to be the easiest for this tactic, since i'm more familiar with the layout. Also as an aside I very rarely get the pet stuck bug.
BAF is also quite enjoyable, although getting to Nightstar early means nothing when my mitigation and damage are only halfway there. On Union we always go for 'Keep em Seperated' and going after the AVs there is a breeze, however, going after the Reinforcements, not so. For some pecular reason, standing at that door, my pets refuse to sit still, even before the first reinfocement they are running towards siege or Nightstar constantly, getting out of range and teleporting back. This is when using Follow/Passive, Follow/Defensive, Goto/Defensive or Goto/Agg they all do it, all the time, I keep having to spam my commands to keep them close to me, and alternate which ones i'm spamming.
Keyes, what little experience I have there is a chore of resummoning, pets struggle with the reactors and the need for Z-Axis positioning, they are all over the place. And as I'm slowly trundling along pulling the little buggers after my, I tend to end up with one of those Big Walkers spawn on my.
When things go well for my MM (not difficulty wise, but game mechanics wise) I enjoy her immensly, when the mechanics are stacked against me, I do not.
How the new players will see MMs will be greatly influenced by the Playerbase, and it won't be good, but hopefully a few players will see these as a hidden gem. -
I would keep the IO in sprint, and toggle it off as you engage the enemy.
If you always open with the same attack, you could set up a snazzy little macro or bind to toggle off Sprint as you engage the power, but really I just have it bound over on the numpad next to my attacks and toggle off the stuff I need off as I engage.
The single slot in Combat Jumping is so much better served by a LoTG in there. You can earn one in 4 days on any Hero/Villain, or 2 for a bit of fiscal investment. -
Enemies in Praetoria can be a bit tough, they have all the right stuff to really put alot of characters at risk, -regen, -resists, -acc, -def, hold resistant liuts, enemies that heal their friends when they die.
Theres no easy ride.
And it can be a pain. Add in a team, and well, most people don't find it thrilingly enjoyable because the tools to aid you're survival just haven't matured enough to deal with the bigger influx of enemies.
And if your friends want to experience the story? well every so often it will force you a solo only mission, so even if everyone starts out at Marauder, and takes the exact same conversation/story path, you won't be able to do all your missions together.
If you are waiting for free-GR to VIPs, then once you get it, roll a Praet for your own interest, but stick with the i2 tutorial for friends. -

Quote:As far as I know, theres no fix for the Mac users not being able to acess the store. Thats a gamestopper. I'm not seeing any likelyhood of launching next week.Hopefully they get those fixed, but I wouldn't count on them not launching it within the next week or so. They have already cut off one source of generating new players. As of Tuesday, they will also completely cut off their income streams except for subscriptions and account services (rename, transfers, slots, etc). I can't see them doing that for more than one or two days.
So yeah, I am looking for Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
And if it launches with Options/Map resetting on zoning thing, i'll be on my PS3 till thats fied anyway, major annoyance... -
You may want to go look at the Belltower on Beta...
lets just say its not exactly a safe spot for your lowbie any more -
This.
I want some of my villains to be absolute monsters, in it for the slaughter
I want some of my villains to be selfish and greedy but honourable, in it for the money, the fame
I want some of my villains to be Rogues (yay I can now) Like Robin Hood
and I want some to skirt the line as Vigilanties, alla Punisher
The direction that redside is going in now is alot better than it was. I certainly don't want most of my villains to be lackeys to the big bad. -
Remember when slotting sets in Pets, only their powers that benefit from that set will be affected by those values.
in Psylenz example of using Pacing of the Turtle for Demon Prince, only his powers which can be affected by slow enhacement sets will be affected by that slotting.
Fortunately thats most of his powers I think, but its something to hold in mind when looking at Demonlings, as it would only affect one of them. -
The other side of the coin from Overpowered is that you run into players who don't understand the game enough, coming in as new VIPs who would go, ooooohh.
FF and Sonic together, that sounds good oooh and I'll add containment to that, double damage when I mez them, shouldnt be too hard. and then he gets frustrated at his massive lack of damage, granted, teams may love him, but still...
For every OMG Overpowered FoTM that would come out of this there would easily be twice as many completely useless combinations that experienced players may do for the challenge, but new players may do for the interesting effect, and be completely put off. -

Also, to add ot what Atomic Guy said,
You haven't slotted any accuracy in your powers, which will put you at a severe disadvantage when it comes to using your attacks.
And whil eothers have siad, theres no single best combo for a blaster, DP/Dev will be in the middle of the road for most things. -

I'm sensing another Parallel Universe brewing...
