This is a very good idea. Not only would it help with zones that create extra stress or running two accounts at once but it would also help in situations where you use one computer at home and another elsewhere.
-
And it looks like we'll be teaming up with Adam Strange.
-
Another point. Considering how often both SG1 and Atlantis had invaders come through gates and that the gate room on that planet didn't have an iris or forcefield it would just plain make sense to have a metric buttload of ammunition right outside the gate room.

Post the results of these two programs.
CoHHelper and Hijackthis
They will show us exactly what kind of computer setup you have including drivers so we will be able to see if everything is up to date and compatible. -
Quote:It doesn't seem that way to me at all. They have actually used the guns very little. When they have used them they have pretty much stuck to single shot instead of the full autofire used by the other SG series.Oh and it's a good thing they brought "magic" guns that never run out of bullets or they'd have been defenseless a long time ago. Either that or they have found a chain of stores on the other side of the universe that sells them Earth made ammunition for discount prices.

I have to admit this was ham fisted and seems like something done by people who are not only completely clueless but don't have any idea what a clue is.
So I'm betting it's the fault of corporate. I'm guessing it went down like this. Corporate insisted on a certain date for implementation of the NCsoft launcher. Before the launch happened the programmers found a huge security hole in the program. Something that could compromise more accounts than the Aion problem did. When they came to corporate and outright told them that release of the program in its current incarnation would probably result in at least 10% of their customer accounts being hacked they were told "Well, you're programmers. Fix it. You have till Tuesday."
Since there was no way the fix could be in before that date they used the brute force account security solution. Right now they are working on closing the security hole in the program and just watch your updater version number. Soon after the next update they will publicly apologize in the forums and roll back the overblown account security. They will say that they are allowing everybody to access their accounts with the old information and reset their own security questions. Plus they will drop the duplicate ip requirement.
This is all just a guess on my part of course but seriously this and the NCsoft launcher combo looks exactly like a decision made by a pointy haired boss. -
On your hijackthis disable all the Stardock utilities. Windowblinds is the primary culprit and is the program providing the alienware skin but the others might interfere as well.

Damn you Syfy. Damn you so much.
SPOILERS!
Good episode. Good to know that Chloe isn't going back to being the completely useless ornament that she was before she started changing.
The kidnapper aliens should have fared better against the drones. After all in every computer simulation Destiny got their butts kicked. They should have limited the number of ships that jumped in to 1 or 2. But it's a necessary plot device so I can't complain too much.
Overall it made me very happy to see the series return. And very annoyed that Syfy cancelled it for some of the other crap they have on now. -

Although he started out as a game character, then a cartoon character, there is someone (something?) that has spread into the comic book realm as well and is pretty much recognizable just about everybody.
Pikachu. -
I think Momoa will make a good Conan. He is a lot closer to the description from the books than Arnold was. Plus I liked him in SGA.

The only time running bosses bother me is in office buildings. Anywhere else I have time to catch up with them. Office buildings though it doesn't matter if they are on the 5th floor. All they have to do is reach the elevator and you lose.
And of course their spawning point is always just a few feet away from the elevator alcove. -
Yeah, it's definitely a GPU overheating issue when you see that. Hopefully it hasn't been happening too long because each time it does it damages the card just a little bit. Maybe not a lot but it helps bump the failure date just a little bit closer.
If the card is still under warranty I would replace it anyway just because. It should not have been having problems at those temperature readings unless it was defective in some way anyway.
And lastly when I had the same problem with a card in the past my solution was to use speedfan to up the fan speed to 100% whenever I was playing CoH. I managed to make it last another couple months that way until I was able to save up for a replacement. -
Experiment time. Go vigilante, get the mission. Pocket D then head redside. Can Kronos be spawned in the Rogue Isles?

You know. A year ago I would have loved this episode. Even now I liked it but I hated it at the same time.
The reason I hated it is because the series is ending. When a series I enjoy is ending I would like to see them do episodes that push the mythos forward. A climactic build up getting better and bolder till they go out with a bang that makes everybody want to see another season, or a series of movies. It's not like taking a risk will get them cancelled. This was a filler episode. Filler episodes are fine but feel out of place when you are trying to tie things up.
It kind of reminds me of Stargate Atlantis and Inquisition. They knew the show was being canceled and so they were tying up loose ends, but then wasted one of their few remaining stories on a flashback episode. It was a good flashback episode but it still did nothing to progress the storyline.
I don't want Smallville to do this. I want it to ramp up and explode. I know I'm probably not being realistic but episodes like Homecoming and Icarus are what I would like to see for the rest of the season.
And now I would like to give my thanks to IMDB for once again giving me the titles of the episodes I couldn't otherwise have remembered. Well, except for Icarus. Kind of hard to forget that one. -
By call from the bank today do you mean somebody from the bank actually called and asked for you? Or do you mean that you got an automated message that said your account was being locked down for suspicious activity and press 1 to speak to a representative? Because if it's the latter then it's a telephone phishing scam.

Smartshopper as well. Really bad adware.
Amy, you need to be aware of something. Pretty much every single toolbar out there actually exists for only one reason. Loading down your browser with spyware and adware. If you are willing to put up with popups or some service that tracks your every move on your browser in return for the convenience that the toolbar provides then it's your choice and realistically 1 toolbar doesn't slow down or affect things much. But when you start installing multiple toolbars it can bring your browser crashing to its knees and begging for mercy as they start fighting with each other for spyware supremacy. -
So many, and yet so few. The ones I loved I wouldn't want handed over Paragon lest they become some bland homogenized mess.
However I might as well name names.
Badger
Justice Machine
Tom Strong
And since the animal pack is out.

Have you installed anything, absolutely anything since you were last able to play? Updated any programs etc...
And are you trying to run any programs in the background that you don't normally run? For instance people using a bittorrent program will often use peerguardian or some other ip blocker and those type things prevent CoH from running.
And if all else fails post the results of these two programs
CoHHelper and Hijackthis
and perhaps we can spot the culprit. -
Monitor your card temperatures. Since you have an Nvidia card you probably already have Nvidia system monitor installed. Watch the temp of your video card as you play. As far as I've found you can't force it to be on top all the time so you will just have to tab to it occasionally and check the temperature. Also, the moment you change focus away from COH your GPU temperature will start dropping so you have to have the monitor running in the background in order to get an immediate temperature reading.
Also when you say you clean out your computer once a week I hope that you are blowing it out with air that isn't under too high a pressure and that you are using something to keep the fans from spinning when you clean them. Allowing the fans to spin freely when you are blowing dust off them can damage your hardware since a spinning motor generates electricity that feeds back into the board. -
I too hate speed runs and here is why. Imagine a different scenario.
Imagine that you like watching movies (ok you probably don't have to imagine that) and you want to watch Iron Man. The group you are playing with starts the movie and you watch the beginning and are getting into it. The weapons demo scene, the ambush scene, yeah this is fun.
Then the person with the remote hits the scene skip button until the Iron Man prototype busts out. Then the first flight scene etc... If you try to question them you just get the response "Those scenes are dull. It's all about the maximum action in the minimum time." And if you have never seen the movie before they don't care. You'll just be told to keep up and figure it out. Try to start a showing of the movie yourself and you'll find people saying that "It's stupid watching it this way. I'm not wasting my time" and leaving the room.
That would be pretty idiotic right? You would think that those people are way too ADD if they can't take the time to watch a movie normally. Yet that is the way that the great majority of people want to run TFs. It isn't about playing the game, it's about winning the game. Or at least winning the most prizes.
Yes you can sometimes find a team that wants to run the TF/SF normally, but it's rare. And unfortunately unlike a dvd you can't start watching just by yourself or with a single friend. And if you start the movie with the help of a few other people who then leave you are still required to consume enough popcorn and drinks for 8 people before the movie is done. -
First you have to upload the picture to an image hosting site like photobucket. Then when you post a message use the insert image button at the top of the message box and put in a link to the picture.
And while you are at it please post the results of these two programs so we can see what is up with your system and settings.
