Multiple Graphical Profiles

I've been thinking about this since GR came out, but never got around to posting until now.

I keep trying to find a balance between the Ultra Graphics mode and playability. My computer can't handle full-blown UG mode, but can do maybe 65 or 70%. There are some spots however (labs introduced in Praetoria, the new warehouse with the big conveyor belt room) where my computer slows down considerably and I have to turn everything down. Later, when I want to turn it back up, I have to experiment a bit, because I'll often forget exactly how I had everything set.

As things are now, we can save our preferences for various things, but not graphics. I would love to be able to load one profile for speed and then another for prettier graphics. If we could save 3 settings, that would be awesome, but I would really kill just to have 2 that would make it easier to toggle between modes.

I just recently upgraded my comp and can now handle Ultra mode with almost everything at 100%. But just yesterday I started to run two instances of CoH as I have 2 accounts, on my one computer. Suffice it to say, running 2 ultra-modes is harder than running 1, even with the /maxinactivefps command.

So I'm all for this. Would make lowering and raising those settings so much easier for when switch from running one account, to both accounts, and then back to one.

This is a very good idea. Not only would it help with zones that create extra stress or running two accounts at once but it would also help in situations where you use one computer at home and another elsewhere.

Graphics settings are only ever stored locally, and per client, as well, so if you use more than one computer, or use Live and Test, then each of those will have its own unique graphical settings independent of all the others.

That said, I do respect the desire to have an easy way to lower graphics for shoddy-designed locations or large-scale raids or up the graphics for a quick screenshot, without having to go through all the options by hand.

Can't that be done with binds, by the way?

If anyone knows of a way to do it with binds, I would be perfectly happy with that option, too.
