Just finished reading the original Robert E Howard Conan stories this afternoon. Look forward to it and hope it doesn't suck.

They should have gotten the WWE's Triple H to be Conan.

I saw him in both The Punisher and Blade: Trinity. I'm not convinced he could play Conan.
Maybe the thuggish mute fiend guarding the evil sorcerer that Conan kills in an incredibly gory fashion at the film's climax, however...

I think Momoa will make a good Conan. He is a lot closer to the description from the books than Arnold was. Plus I liked him in SGA.

I think he's more suited to Kull, personally. We could use a decent Kull movie. The Kevin Sorbo thing was interesting in a mindless sort of way, but it had very little to do with the Atlantian philosopher king.

I think Momoa looks great as Frazetta's Conan. And if Arnold didn't play Conan, I expect more people would clamoring how great Momoa looks in the part. It's like Christopher Reeve's Superman. Personally, I thought Christopher Reeves looked nothing like the comic Superman, who looked more like George Reeves.
I hope that they incorporate some of the music from the Arnold movies.
As for the new actor, he looks fine and Im interested to see this adaptation.
I wouldn't mind seeing Ahnold make a KING CONAN movie.

While hopeful of a new Conan movie, I'll need to see it to have a real opinion.

I don't outright hate the latest 3D technology and I think some movies have made good use of it. When I think of Conan I don't automatically think "Conan would be so much better in 3D". That in and of itself makes me worry they are just using 3D in this case to cover up a bad movie.
