  1. This is a really cool premise for a contest. I've entered, and I'm really excited to see how this turns out.
  2. I wish there was some kind of search function for the character creator. There are a lot of pieces these days, and it's getting hard to remember what piece is in which category.

I would have very much preferred to just straight out buy the pieces. As it worked out, I got quite a few usable extras, but also quite a few things I didn't want, and will likely never use.

Going through the process, though, I can see their reasoning. I was prepared to keep dropping money until I got that damn robe.

I ended up getting most of the set within about eight packs. Funnily enough, I got the robe with the last pack before my VIP-granted points ran out.
  5. Ahhhhh, this would explain why I couldn't find it in frantic store searches. Thanks guys, good to know I'm not crazy and it does in fact exist.
  6. The jacket seen on the upper left character in this image. What is that? I've looked through jackets, robes, sleeveless jackets, trenchcoats, everywhere I can think of, and I cannot figure out what piece this is.

I can't tell if I've missed something somewhere or I'm just really dense. Thanks guys.
  7. Can I ask where you found the song in the video? Because I absolutely love it.

This will definitely work if you just want the double door aesthetic; I know for my purposes, though, I'd like to be able to make my control and energy rooms look like one big room, which is impossible now.
  9. Here's mine... sorry for the lame quality. See if you can spot guest appearances by the USS Enterprise and Dali's melting clock.

The notebook and papers in front of the keyboard are from the base planning I was doing last night.

EDIT: whoa, broke the board, let me resize that
  10. Using those lamps as the walls looks fantastic... aren't those lamps naturally at an angle? Did you rotate every single one?

If so, wow. I have a lot of patience, but I don't think I have THAT much!

The boats-as-teleporters thing is really cool, I love the look.
  11. In the past, the 'double doors' look was achieved through a glitch in the base mechanics involving pathing and bounding boxes. After they got rid of raid pathing, this became impossible.

That is, of course, unless someone has re-figured out how to glitch it, in which case they should please share because I would love to have double doors back.
  12. I believe this is just a display error; your prestige should still be at ~82k or whatever you had left over.

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember that this could be fixed by selling an object to jump the system. Otherwise, I guess just wait for it to fix itself. :\
  13. Something I just realized would be super useful: the ability to add items to a 'favorites' category.

As it is now, every time you switch an item category the scroll bar jumps. I've been gritting my teeth switching between desks and room details, and my life would be so much simpler if I could just keep my most-used items in one list.

This is pretty much what I did to make my picture studio... flat white modern frame on the walls, with white desks as a floor, and then lighting all around to make everything a uniform, bright white.

When I get home I'll see if I have a screenshot.

EDIT: You can see what mine looks like here: http://imgur.com/a/AHEzA

I've found it pretty easy to magic wand the background in Photoshop, and replace with a background of my choosing.
  15. I didn't need to take the Tier 9?! Gorram, I could have had them last month. Grrrr.
  16. Just wanted to throw in my support for this. I can count on one hand the number of times there's actually been enough people and interest to take down a GM when I've been playing. I CAN'T count the number of times I've sat staring at a big ol' octopus in the middle of Independence Port and tried to get other people to help me make sushi, to no avail.

To me, the GMs are one of the coolest parts of this game; the idea of a mass of superheroes banding together to take down this giant that's terrorizing the innocent populace is straight out of the comics, and I wish that there was more interest in doing that. Anything that raises that interest level is okay by me.

  18. Okay, I cannot for the life of me figure out how that light-wood-with-dark-squares thing was done in the last picture. Anyone willing to share the secret?

    Awesome.
I am getting the same message, when I try to prepurchase with my PayPal account. Going to wait and try again tomorrow... hope it fixes itself.

Mmmm. If you're doing what I think you're doing, then awesome.

And really, even if you're not doing what I think you're doing, it'll still probably be awesome.
  22. Oh, MAN, you got me all excited for a minute.

"They added new textures?! I can finally have wallpaper and good-looking hardwood floors?!"

    But no.

    It does look fantastic though!
  23. D_R, let me know if you need more pics or a tour; I'd be happy to provide either.

Any hints on what it is you'll be filming?
  24. That looks really nice, Kiralyn!
  25. No competition yet on the tech front? I was looking forward to seeing what other people could bring to the table.

EDIT: Though I'm loving looking at all the awesome arcane bases!
