Quote:DP/Devices, and take every Devices power except targetting drone. Can someone give me a gimped combination that I can roll? I'm just so freaking good with a Blaster it's making this game boring. Please don't say AR/Dev since I have one of those and he totally rocks.
Maybe Energy/Ice or something? I don't know.
Thank you for your kind replies! -
Why didn't you ask me? I was looking for some lvl 37 missions just last night...

My DM/DA stalker has had plenty of epic moments. I wish you luck on your MA/Nin.

When he has enough extra parts,he just builds another leg for his back.
-
I think he's still standing in Galaxy City. I know no one has a reason to visit there until they need a cape or create a Warshade or even an old fashioned respec. But he's still there, ready to train you up, or rename your build.
-
Just use the War Hammer and color it 2 shades of purple. Voila. Vanguard Mace.
-
When at 50, switch to the Total Amazement Proc, chance for KB. It is much more effective in OG.
-
Im looking at it in game numbers, for a lvl 50 blaster, unenhanced for damage is 44.49, half psionic, half smashing.
-
Regarding Combustion, the animation time is good for a tanker, bad for a blaster.
I've always been using Hot Feet+Burn+FSCircle, with Aim and BU as sort of a non crash Nuke on a group of tightly packed foes.
I never went for complete sets on my Fire/Fire, just frankenslotted what dropped for me and was happy enough with the results.
Depending on what your APP choice was, will tell you weather to look for defense bonus or resistance bonus in your IO set benefits. Building towards additional recharge, damage and accuracy are also beneficial. Dont worry about regen on a blaster so much. Recovery, if you have Stamina, there is Performance Shifter Chance for +End, that IMO, is great on any character you have. Thats the only recovery bonus I ever care about. -
When Elec/Elec first went to beta test, I built one with Fighting Pool for Tough and Weave. Tough will help. Weave not so much, you get hit alot. I did like that Grounded gave you KB protection. The electric assassin strike is unique and fun.
Also took flight for Air Sup/Fly combo. Air Sup is a good mitigator after you become unhidden. -
Devices will have many powers that will in my opinion be useful to your DP primary.
Trip Mine can be used as a defensive power. You set it at your feet prior to engagement, and any foes that try to force melee (usually a minion) will take a serious beating.
You'd want to throw down caltrops and place the mine at the outer edge of the trops area of effect.
Time bomb I believe you will hate in its current state. It takes too long to set up, is interruptable, and there is a countdown until it blows up. It sounds like you arent interested in taking the time. So I recommend skipping it.
The Auto turret is a good power for you to draw some agro from you.
I'd skip taser with DP also. Recommend the cryo ammo for the slow effect, and your power Supressive Fire (slot it with acc, holds and recharge) will hold with an Ice crystal effect that you could then drop a mine to kill the guy if you wanted at his feet.
You've got some fun power combo's there. -
Well. I've tried the perma stun route. It doesn't seem to work too well. The Boss still seems to be able to drop its 3 pets at first opportunity. Then I soon have 4 eyeballs chomping on me at once. Also, do you think the fact that overseer's pets can be dropped right on top of one another working as intended? A master Ill doesn't drop her 3 minions on the same spot. Why is it ok for the overseer?
As a scrapper I switch targets alot. When 3 eyeballs are occupying the same space it makes it impossible to target the one you need. -
Quote:I use it on 2 lvl 50 /Fire blasters. One has concealment pool invisibility, so I can leave hot feet on and still position myself undetected. Then aim+BU, drop invis, Burn and Fire Sword Circle kills everything trying to escape.I'm fixing to respec my main blaster Fire/Fire and was wondering about this power.
I've never used it on any toon before. What are it's pro and cons?
Thanks.
The second has PFF, and the technique is the same. You just dont want to do this against nemesis bots because the death explosions will do enough damage to kill you.
I use it as my non crash nuke. -
Hello.
My 50 MA/SR is soft-capped defensively vs all 3 attack types, with Elude only one slotted (took it at 49), but 90%+ defense doesn't seem to matter against Overseers. What is the best technique for surviving battles against these Rularuu Bosses. I'd like to eventually get the badge. Should I be eating large oranges instead? I have ignored regen on this character for his entire life, never needed it, took swift, hurdle, stamina. I can fight all day against most opponents. How do I survive Overseers? I do not want to fight low level ones for the badge. -
I will add that there really isn't all that great of a need to get to 50 anymore. They reduced the requirements for the epic archtypes, (Warshade and Peacebringer, blue side) and (Widows and Crabs, red side) down to level 20.
With the way autosidekicking and exemplaring has been changed, you dont need to worry about the teams level or your level, as much. Teaming is super easy now. Just find a group you like and friend them and have fun. -
Quote:I just realized yesterday, the guy that plays Roger Linus, Ben's dad, was Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite.
There are a lot of Losties that looked familiar to me, but I can't remember where I'd seen them. So they've had careers before, and unless they have enough money to retire and end up doing just that, I know we'll be seeing them again soon. -
Still waiting for Doc Jensen's recap, I found the Instant Dharma recap pretty well exemplifies my feelings. It's kinda long.

Just wanted to say how much I loved coming here to read everyone comments about Lost every week. I knew no question I asked would be too stupid.
I never really had a theory about this last season, just really am looking forward to watching it all again to pick out all the things I missed the first few times.
I am suprised Miles has made it to the final show. Do you think he'll last to the end?
I have always been a fan of Hurleys. One of my favorite scenes of him is when he gets the old Dharma van running, and Jin raising his arms in victory. Very cool. -
Quote:Same here. I just moved one slot on my lvl 50 MA/SR scrapper. A dynamic respec would have been awesome. As long as it leaves my power trays alone too.i like this idea, i have a lvl 50 dark melee/stone brute i want to move just 1 enhance slot to a different power but dont want to go through the hassle of a respec
/signed -
I like this idea too, AceMace. I'd like it even more if it included the abilty to lock the power trays and keep them set the way they were before the respec. Instead of the jumbled mess we get now.
THats why I hate respecs SO MUCH. Resetting the power trays to the way I like them. -
Quote:This.
More importantly, it seems that what you're talking about is turning oppressive gloom into a weaker hand clap and moving it into the secondary. It's considered a set mule already. Why would proliferating the worst power in SS/ to /DA with reduced magnitude stun suddenly make it any less crappy?
My Dark/Dark never rehides either. Doesn't need to. Sometimes just for an additional AS for style points, you can togggle off OG, placate and then AS the last man standing, but its easier to just punch him in the face. -
Welcome back. What server is your scrapper on?
-
Quote:Just to start off, im not attacking you. So stop being so defensive.Well, I don't know. How long does it take you to kill one when Aim and Build Up are recharging?
I assume you don't wait until they're back up before attacking a boss, so how would not having them be any different than when they're not up?
When I know I have to fight a boss, I Aim and BU from a position of stealth, and get off at least 3 attacks before he hits me once, so he's at least at half health, so I know Im killing him faster than you.
Quote:I forget to use Aim and Build Up all the time as it is now, so I dropped them. No sense in keeping a power you never remember to use.
Quote:I'm not looking to start a new character here. I already HAVE the blaster in question at level 50, I'm just looking into getting more survivability out of him, because he is by far the most faceplant prone character in my roster. Saying "play an ice/fire tank or fire/sr scrapper" is fine......except that would require me to create and level one, which isn't what I'm trying to do here.
Quote:As I mentioned before, hoverblasting isn't an option for this character because he is bugged by flight powers not working properly. When I try to fly (even with a jet pack) I am constantly flying downward. I petitioned it and sent bug reports several times and it was never fixed, so I solved it by just not taking flight powers.
Just so you understand where I'm coming from, I am never frustrated by an occasional blaster death. It is rare. Therefore all my blasters are focused on accuracy and damage and to hell with defense or resistance, its a waste of time for me to even think about. When Im fighting on the razors edge of fun, I consider it an absolute victory if Im still standing, and just take a knee if im in the red. Im also one of the old time blasters that didnt mind the old defiance. I never complained about it. Sometimes blasters get hit hard. Thats just a fact for me. I hit hard too.
