The other classic "safe" blapper is sonic/energy.
1) sleep group.
2) stun something.
3) blap that something into submission.
4) return to 2 until nothing is left.
If done correctly, you will only get attacked when sleep misses something (or bosses, in which case you can stack stuns to disable them).
Although I will admit I enjoy electric melee blappers more. More style.
Also consider taking Air Superiority. Some enemies are hard to mezz, but may be weaker to knockdown. -
Quote:"Hi guys! I just soloed some Giant Monsters with my blaster. Of course, I had some other boxes played by me, with a stone tank taunting on auto and a kin buffing me, but they were all played be me so I totally soloed it."It's solo in that you don't have team-mates to yell at or wait for while they train, sell thier drops, buy new enhancements because thiers went red, run off to ICON to change the color of thier shoes to match thier mood or while they sit around spamming invites because 7 isn't a "full" team.

LOL at calling dual-box play "solo".

If you're electric/devices you can defend your gun drone a bit. But yea, probably not the most efficient use of slotting out there.

I'd take presence pool. A lot of it.
Taunting stuff with squishies is hilarious. Yelling at them until they cower even more so.
Defender: "I AM BUBBLE/ELECTRIC DEFENDER!"
Skull: "whaa? Get that guy!"
Defender: "PHEAR ME!"
Skull: "Oh noes!" -

I don't see a problem here. -
Melee/melee
Screw defense. Screw controls. Just balls to the wall, high risk for high reward. -
I've noticed that a hold will often cause me to lose my currently selected target. May want to verify you still have an enemy targeted when hitting attack buttons.

Temp stamina until 20. Or zero recharge on rest until 20.

You know that little puzzle box that you play with when standing next to an invention table? Apparently, the facemaker accidentally solved it.
"We have such sights to show you..." -
I'm sure this will be fixed just as fast as Citadel's face.
:P -

Now all we need is a Vanilla Ice Ninja Rap boombox emote and we're all set.

Oddly enough I have never had someone complain about knockback while playing energy blast.

Too bad on comments. I got some real gems every time I told a forum inside joke that went over someone's head.
You know, people who think "gone to the Americans" is some kind of racial slur, or "casually purple a warshade" is serious business. -
With my current Elec^3 play style, I've found that defensive slotting isn't necessary. Enemies that cannot attack me don't deal any damage. So I slot for the two things I really want more of: damage and recharge bonuses.
Solo, I can quickly mezz or disable key threats. The Electric Trilogy has the tools to deal with any non-AV enemy. Open fights like a controller, close fights like a blaster. I don't even have aid self anymore on my main Elec^3.
Grouping, aggro is either split between my teammates or someone else wants to soak alphas (peeled aggro gets the twitch treatment). Alternatively, I can take the Short Circuit / Power Sink approach if my team wants more AoE control. Playing a versatile and flexible character has certain rewards here.
+damage and +recharge sets tend to be on the higher end price-wise though, if cash is an issue. -
My Voltaic Sentinel character has a perma pet. While my character phases in and out once a minute, my human pet is always there. (well, until he gets himself killed. Silly pet A.I.)

I pulled some random posts out of my time machine for issue 76 feedback:
Quote:Why was Dark Melee's accuracy nerfed? I'm missing a lot since i76 went live! Quote:Is Cathedral of Pain going to be fixed in i77? -
I've got some greys, but based on their comments it doesn't seem like they were trying to negative me ("Interesting tip" or "That was funny" type stuff). Is it possible that some people can't affect rep at all, good or bad?

Does Jab take disorient sets? There is also a chance for knockback proc in Stupefy, which could be humorous on a quick-jab.

I'd go with Shocking Bolt.
Even if it's hard to stack on a boss, it's still one of the better holds available to blasters. There's almost no delay when you activate it to when it goes into effect. No long animation, no windup, you hit the button and your target is held NAO.
