  2. One thing missing here, seeker drones do a serious accuracy debuff and 40% damage debuff if they both strike the same target.
  3. If I try to run a +0/+8 spawn size/no bosses on the DE map for Heroes Epic I get two bugs. The mobs spawn with bosses and my MM henchmen do nothing.

    Not a good combo.

    MM or Crab pets?

ALL pets are melee pets now, and have been since I17.

In fact, since thugs and bots don't get their full effect from their cone attacks and are squishier than melee pets, ranged MMs are at a disadvantage now, in theroy.

Musculature and my procs have kept me uber, but there are a few enemies like Recluse and Nosferatu I still have issues with.

That would be the Freedom Phalanx Task Forces.

I had no issues with Rommie on the 1st mission he was in, but our group folded before we could try to take him with Nictis backup.

Haven't tried the other two, but the point was you said : "Level 50 content is highly biased against masterminds. Level 50 tip missions still work, but the TFs, and upper level missions are designed with bosses and AVs that wipe out all the pets within 10 seconds. "

I've soloed more avs after hitting level 50 than on the way to 50.

Hence by confusion and disagreement with you.

I've soloed over 50 avs with my bots/traps mm, and I plan on soloing all the FP TFs once I switch hero side. I run 0/8 man team and the only mobs I have any issues with are malta and the new pretorians, and by problems I mean I might lose pets or die every so often.

Actually since I slotted muscleature the only time I've died is when I was hit my Pretorian ambushes with their multiple burn patches/slows.

So I have no idea what you are talking about.

    MT
    Traps.
  11. I've found taking a def shield works better against most enemies than a resistance shield. I tested in out with my 2nd build and it just seems to work better 99% of the time. Plus with musculature slotted everything is DEAD before they can hit me anyway.

I do miss the dmg and anti-knockback from electrifying fences though, and my anti mezz procs were nice too.

And the melee thing... not seeing that either. Sure, sometimes they do close into melee because they have melee attacks. I tell them to heel and they come back to me, I tell them to attack again and they unload with flying death again.
The issue is if you GOTO bots to a spot , they will fire off their attacks and then close to melee. They will ignore any commands to return to you until they've killed their target. On most enemies this isn't an issue, and if you are running a mission on the easiest settings they will kill their targets before you even notice them running anywhere.

Now, on TFs , fighting certain avs and fighting at, oh, say 8 man spawn +1 this is an issue because if their target has a massive pbaoe attack they close into melee and die. GOTO is supposed to lock them into a spot to keep them safe, but the ai "enhancement" from I17 makes GOTO useless.

And if their target runs into the next mob, well if you are on a team they get pissed because of your aggtard pets and if you are solo, well it can make things tough.
  13. After reading the info on the TF I prety much concluded with the current sad sate of henchman AI this TF would be impossible.

Maybe I should roll a fire/traps corruptor and save myself the head ache. Or find a team so l33t I can be a petless m through it.
  14. Well I was on Test last week and my bots still moved into melee. Hell, I forgot to equip them and they started out by charging int melee.

This actually helped when I soloed both the Honoree and the Vanguard av, believe it or not. I was able to keep everyone in a tight melee cluster, but that was more about the luck of the inclosed space and the fact that neither av has a massive damage pbaoe attack or a damage aura.
  15. We are NOT equal.

I really have to stop complaining about my bot ai. On test I soloed both the Honoree and the new Vanguard AV. The Vanguard AV was soloed without inspirations.

So I'm still fighting at Incarnate level before I19.

It's a problem when trying to run an ITF or solo avs like Recluse or Ghost Widow. I might as well be a petless mastermind when trying to fight Nictus-Romulas because my bots die so fast.
  17. Too bad they didn't hold up Issue 17 when they broke the mastermind pet ai.

Probably the worst thing affecting MMs at the moment. Any and all pets will attempt to close to melee range, even if they really shouldn't.

Of course I love it on my Plant/Emp controller, but Illusion is badly affected by it too.

Hopefully i19 has a fix for it in there somewhere (although I wouldn't hold my breath)
It's not a bug, it's WAI. The bug is that you used to be able to GOTO your pets to a spot and they'd stay there for the most part. I know the protector bots would run up to a mob to cast force field at it, but it was only the protector bots.

    Now GOTO is useless.

I wish they'd revert pet AI back to pre issue 17 and I wish they'd fix the bots missile swarm but it ain't gonna happen, no matter how much we complain.

Used to be the ridiculous damage on the missiles would push bots over thugs in terms of damage under many circumstances. Now unless i'm mistaken, the assault bot's missiles does virtually the same damage as the arsonist's firebomb, but still takes 20s compared to arsonist's 10s to deliver the damage. The assault bot's missiles still have the larger radius, but both radii are quite large (15' and 20').

Don't get me wrong, I love (and still like) the steamroller that is bots. I've IO'd my own bots/traps. But now it's less of a steamroller and more of a household iron. Still able to flatten things, but nowhere near its prior ability.

Actually now that I think about it, even though it was a mistake, it almost seems more fair now since bots is clearly one of the hardiest pet classes. No sense in giving one of the sturdiest pets the best damage as well. And now it opens up room for patron pools other than Mu Mastery. hmm, maybe this could actually be a good thing for the game balance.
Um, no nerf herding please. With bots charging into melee I'd say "balance" has been achieved.

I don't see the devs fixing this anyway. They've had an entire issue to do so, and two issues to fix the stupid melee bug and haven't done so.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

The trip mine change, I feel for ya. It makes more sense to have TM take PBAoE instead of Targetted (Ranged) AoE, but it does hurt a bit.
Castle said he was going to fix it over a month ago and its still nerfed. Pet AI has been broken since I17. So I've accepted these things as nerfs and have adapted . I'll adapt here as well.
  21. Actually burried in the patch notes for i18 trip mine no longer accepts targeted aoe io sets. Just another nerf I've had to deal with. Well now I have to respec my build, sell the ios on the market and hope I get my investment back and hope I get enough money to put another set in.

1st they borked the pet ai, then they nerfed my missile swarm and now they changed sets on me. I'm starting to take this personally.
  22. Trip mine and I'm level 50, not exempted.

You won't really notice a single 6,25% bonus in casual play unless you look closely at your timings (and then it wouldn't be casual play any longer).

Yes, I looked at combat attributes and it isn't there. I've only got the one 6.25% bonus, I also have the purple set recharge bonus, the LOTC bonus, a 5% bonus from perfect zinger and time lord's boon. The posi's is the only one not showing up.
  24. So my level 50 bots/traps Mm has five slotted Positron's blast, but the 6.25% recharge bonus is not in his stats or listed under his powers. Anyone else experience this?

There is no fix, Castle lied. It's a stealth nerf, just like MM pets charging into melee and ignoring commands not to.
