What annoys you about your pets?

So, I see some threads about different drawbacks of Mastermind primaries. Out of curiosity then, what are some things (not necessarily gameplay wise) that annoy you about your pets? I'll go first as an example:
Zombie vomit. Really? They couldn't just have toxic breath or even at least spit at things, it has to be vomit? Well I've decided that my zombies don't vomit, they breathe on things. That horrid sound is them... um... exhaling. Don't shatter my dreams!
Oh, and if my robots KB everything and cause mass chaos one more time, I'm going to scream and throw things at them.

You know, stuff like that. I kinda wanna ask other ATs which mastermind pets annoy them and why, but I don't think I should post in 11 other archetype boards.
So, what annoys you about YOUR pets?

Ninjas

I wish they would automatically run into melee range and only use throwing stars when the mob tries to run. I wish they were a little less squishy. The Oni is hideous!

Also, I wish the Jounin were the first tier, samurai for the second, and instead of the Oni, we would get the Tsoo Sorcerer.

Off the top of my head... ninja's are squishy, stay at range a bit too much.
Bots block veiw, protector always sheilds me last (even going for my traps over me)
Demons are noisy
Mercs don't co-ordinate thier attacks to best effect (none of the pets do, but think it'd make the biggest diffrence for mercs if they were smarter about thier powers
Arsonist is sucidal, and doesn't even have the decency to blow himself up as he dies.
Zombies spread out too much for my tastes and don't seem to use thier self heal wisely.

Namely because you guys would want to color tint the damn doves, or make them hawks/ravens/flying sharks/etc and that's just a headache I do...not...want...to deal with.

Yes, cause a teleporting pet that will aggro mobs in entirely different rooms would be so great.

That said giving Oni o2 boost (or cauterize to keep the fire theme) could help quite a bit with Ninja survivability issues.

Sorry, I meant to say "graphically only"

Bruiser also is a bit kamikaze... spend a lot of time healing him with the pool power heal..

Zombies are also kamikaze... I think this sums up most pet's attitudes to life.

more thoughts:

option to keep health/endurance bars over pets heads at all times
pet AI option: prefer melee/prefer range
pet AI when aggressive, all pets only attack one target not random (kill one mob, then move onto the next near mob - not 6 pets fight 6 different mobs)
faster run speed when out of combat so i dont have to wait for them once i'm ready to engage
pet AI option: don't chase or stay within 50 feet?

pet window: able to resize only this window and lock it on screen for better click targeting/monitoring. as of now you have to window scale all windows making the pet bars small. also, if you have the pet bar on the bottom of the screen, when pets die, the window moves up and down and does not stick to the bottom of the screen

Well, to be fair he is a Brute... charging in and grabbing a ton of aggro is part of the job description.

what annoys me is that i tried the demon pets and found them fundamentaly weaker then the ninjas i had already used before.

And ninja die at the drop of a hat....so the demons die quicker....

Demons seam to use alot of energy for no reason...and they dont seam to be able to hit very much at all...during combat thats all i see are constant attempts to hit with melee and they fail.

That annoys me to no end.

And also Demons failed my test...i do a test with my minions...i should be able to float up above and set them to attack anything below me...and they should kill the things if the things are as strong as i am...like the halloween event encounters for example.

But out of all the pets i have tried...demons cant even do that....pathetic.

so thats what annoys me.

Not saying your play experience is wrong, but my demons run just fine without my help. Half the time I don't even bother doing much, just let them wreak havoc and sit back and watch.

Now, for my problems...

Not too many, actually. I've figured out the strengths of what I have, and play for it accordingly. Yes, it does bug me when my Genin kb the enemies out of Freezing Rain, and yes, while humorous, the suicidal Arsonist gets annoying, but there's not much you can do about it but learn to work with it. And that's why it's so much fun.

I have a bots/dark and merc/storm, and they both have the same problem of the henchmen charging in to die when they'd be just as effective, if not more so, by hanging back.

I was once fighting Valkyrie with a friend (ice/fire tank, for what it's worth). I was behind Valkyrie, as were my henchmen. I watched one of my soldiers break away from the pack, run right up to and around Valkyrie to stand next to the tank. Needless to say, her very next attack was a cone that one-shotted my flunky.

Also I wish my Spec Ops had better recharge on their mez powers, or at least were much smarter about using them, but that's rather well worn ground.

Demons are noisy indeed, although I'm quite happy w/ them otherwise (33 demon/poison running x3 +0)

Ninjas really need a close combat mode,

Altough my most annoying one is that pets on defensive seem to forget agro really quick. The number of times my pets all stand around some sucker in-cased in ice wondering if it changes his mind and wants to be friends is obnoxious.

I haven't really had a problem with my Ninja's going into melee. I run in bodyguard though and tend to get right in a mobs face before they see me. Steamy Mist rules.

I just found out tonight a really annoying thing on my Ninja's. I was doing a KoA tip mission. When the caltrops went out, my Ninja's went running to the 4 corners of the map, at top speed. Most of the time they would aggro the next group. They wouldn't just stop outside the caltrops, they would run the equivilant of 4 blocks.

No one pays attention to me, cause I listen to the voices in my head.

I wish my pets could hover. I once did a KoA tip mission with the escort starting near so many caltrops users that she died to a steady stream of single digit damage before I could kill the sister guarding her.

This is WAI. Pets on defensive are made to ignore mezzed enemies and take out the ones that can still attack you instead. Make a bind to change them to aggro mode when this happens. When my bruiser got Handclap, he used to stun groups and then forget about them.

Set them to attack/defensive then after they finish they immediately switch back to bg mode.

Robotic's KB never really bothers me at all while solo'ing but I dont get much love in teams at all. Come to think of it my server kinda hates masterminds. I had a guy invite me to a statesman tf and then he got a tank. "Okay no offence but we cant have a mm on the team or it will be a wash. The pets draw too much aggro". The team lead said sorry and booted me. lol

It doesnt help Im storm as well. Even the sg Im in ******* in vent when Im only running steamy mist with no hurricane or thunderstorm and just using the bots to attack and freezing rain to debuff.

So in a way my bots kb does annoy me sorta but also my secondary. The global tf channel we have for my server had a big discussion that went something like. "If you wanna wipe a tf invite a mm"

lol

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with enemies being mezzed, but rather enemies not landing any successful attacks for a period of time. I see this all the time on my ninja/storm. They're either bouncing on their butts, or whiffing due to hurricane debuff.

Demon Summoning

The second tier pets and the top tier Demon Prince are virtually identical in appearance. Their horns are oriented in a different direction, and the prince stands up erect, but other than that they look just about the the same. Very disappointing.

I much prefer my top tier pet to have a substantially more awesome appearance to the Lieutenants.

Other than that, I think they rock.

For my Bots the one thing I find annoying is the fondness my drones have for Melee. It's useful at lower levels when hey only have 1 attack and are my level or -1 but at higher levels I'd prefer for themt o hang back with the protector bots. Speaking of Protector Bots, given the 3minute cooldown on their seeker drones it would be nice if they used them a bit more intelliently.

I have a 50 Ninjas/Storms MM and a 23 Robots/Forcefields MM and I have to admit..... the ninjas gave me a LOT less headaches than the Robots do in the early 20s

For some reason the robots seem to dang squishy....
but I dunno.
Perhaps I just need to reslot them.
I haven't played that toon in a month or so.
I need to take a closer look

Before Demon Summoning was released I never really had an issue with making my robots behave, stay with me and bask in my buffs while they lay waste to anything within a good 200 feet. Ever since then though, ALL of them have taken to launching straight into melee range, nearly dying, and pulling the group just down the hall with a stray laser. Something certainly changed in the AI from one point to another because until Demon Summoning came out I could easily run +1/*6 (still IO'ing, don't judge me, unnecessarily high priced markets) and now due to the lack of self-control I'm having to cut back to +0/*4 because I can't trust my bots to stay with me long enough for me to buff or heal them (Dark Miasma, Leadership)

I'd have to say the biggest annoyance for me is .. they won't get off my butt! LOL I can't even count how many times I have arrived at the door to a mission and had to spend time trying to twist around to actually click the door because I have 6 demons crammed up against me.

Second would definately be the Thug's arsonist. I can almost count on having to replace him about every other mob. I joked here a whiule back and said that Fushionette, General Aarons and Lady Jane were actually a preview of Going Rogue because they obviously were former Mastermind minions.. they just can't help but rush forward to see what's going on, manage to get themselves killed more than half the time and the reslut is MISSION FAILED! :-D

Oh well I love playing my MMs so I am more than willing to put up with it. The Damage output, added buffs, holds ect that various minon sets offer more than makes up for the minor annoyances
