Quote:Look no further than than the cover of Suicide Squad #1.Oh, obviously she'll be back with the Joker since, as evidenced by Batgirl/Babs, character growth = stupid.
However, if the cover's any indications, it looks like Harley has been replaced by a deranged cos-playing stripper with a plastic surgeon boyfriend. -
This looks interesting, and certainly better than the Wahlberg/Burton mess several years ago.
My guess... Caeser and company not only use the "uplift gas" to become smarter, but that sometime in the movie the "stoopid hoomans" come up with a "downfall gas" which gets used on them, thus making them the primitives we see in the earlier films. -
Quote:I didn't think there was any doubt this would happen.
This should be called "OMG, what the hell have we done again let's fix it"
I'm sticking with my idea of 2 imprints.
Earth 1: Modern Superheroes
Earth 2: Golden Age -

Seriously though, how long should I expect it to take for them to reset the "challange" information from the newly implemented (and utterly nonsensical) Authorized Computer Security thingy. I'd really like to give you money today. (And normally, I'd simply ask support but there's been no response to ticket, petition, email, or tweet for several hours.)
Also, I'd like to know if there's a way to "opt-out" of the authorized computer thing altogether. I don't really want NC Soft to have my Computer info anymore than I want them to have my real birthday. 8D -

Woohoo.... looks like Steamhead's finally going to get the look he's always wanted!

Quote:Fiddle-faddle. I admit walking in after the intro, but it seemed very Gaiman to me. In any case, my complaint still stands about the whole "didn't seem to fit" thing.I like the fact that that basically shows that Jet Boy doesn't know what he's talking about.
So there 8P -
I thought it was a fairly mediocre episode. It was alright - a very Neil Gaiman Episode - but I think it broke the premise and momentum of the show set up by the first two episodes this season.
It really did seem out of place. -
Quote:Interesting thought. Perhaps he's more of an outsider now, like the Observers, maybe?I don't think Peter vaporized. I think instead he is caught in a closed loop of time. See if he never was then the fix he just put in place wouldn't still be there nor would the machine. So what we have here is that the actor on events was removed from the time stream but not destroyed. He still exists and I'm guessing he can be pulled back out of the loop.
-
I'm thinking Peter's still in the machine, trying to "correct" everything. My guess is that he has to finish and - for lack of a better term - "reboot" the system before he'll exist again.

Additions to my earlier Post:
6) Toggle to turn off/disable lag-inducing lighting effects on some newer maps.
7) Restoration of setting "0/0" to the actual pre-GR setting "0/0"
8) a system of zone-wise exemplaring for "newbie" zones (aka, level 10 and under). -
You know... the more I see, the more I have to thank Bay for...
... after all' now I know I can free up that ten bucks for something other than seeing TF3 -
Quote:So, you're predicting unbearable amounts of lag in the Lowbie zones, and flocks of teams ignore requests to join from anyone not an Incarnate? It's not disappointing. Look more closer. If you read it correctly, there will be something happening, they just haven't announced specifics yet.
I predict..... Warwalkers in Atlas Park! Giant robots storming the city streets! All hands to battle stations! ^^ -
Heh... at least they used attempt to hide the flagging sales PR stunts in the past.
Dear DC,
Wanna impress me so much I'll start buying issues again?
1) Reboot the best (eg, written before 1986 unless it's a really, really stand out books, like Jeff Loebs "Long Halloween"and ) of the Silver, Iron and Modern Age books under the "Earth 1" imprint. Then go reread as many Silver Age Books as you can and make the titles like that.
Why? So they'll be fun to read again.
2) Reboot the "Golden Age" flagship books under the imprint of "Earth 2" Then go reread as many Golden Age Books as you can and make the titles like that, right down to being set in "period".
Why? So they'll be fun to read again.
3) Ditch everything else.
4) Make it so that each hero appears in only one singles book and one team book.
5) When considering a concept for "world wide game changing kaffkaffcrisiskaff event!" Everyone who likes the idea should have to undergo the Native American "Sundance" of the Souix for a week, to prove thier commitment to not making it a huge heaping convoluted mess.
6) Forget the terms "Digital Comics" or "Motion Comics..." Paper and ink are your freakin' mediums.
6) Have everyone involved sign a contract that includes the phrase "no take-backs or I'll never work in the comic industry again."
Sincerely,
Jetboy.
PS: Extra credit for bringing back digests. -

To be honest I hope that Sanctuary stays with the "High Adventure" storylines and fades the "freak of the week" formula into the background. It's so much more interesting when the characters are doing "daring do."
.. oh, and since I haven't said it for a while:
'DEATH TO KATE FREIDLANDER!"
(please, please, please, can't we trade her in for a resurrection token for Jimmy!?!?) -
Funny, I thought it was one of the better "alts" for War Mace. Very Kirby-esque
-
-
Oh... yes. That makes it much better.
Op: I feel for your buddy. I'm much on the same track, 7+ years, and the last couple of issue concentrations have made me feel a bit overlooked by the devs as well, several direction changes even bringing it to the point where I've considered moving on myself.** The only suggestion I can make is for him is the same one I've been making to many of the people I hear mentioning their likes or dislikes about the game:
Bring these issues up through the official feedback channels to the Dev's themselves.
Posting your thoughts and opinions here is fine, but even though many of the devs have participated here in the past, this is really just a fan forum, Don't trust your feedback to filter through the forums to be noticed by the powers that be. Giving opinions in Beta is good as well, but even there, it's hard to be heard over many of the more vocal long-time participants, and even then, you're limited to the things their actually beta testing (as a rule).
Official Feedback is really the only way they know how the directions they take is being received by you.
On a personal level, I'd tell him to sit back and take a break for a little while before making the final decision.
** (Personally, I think that every issue, even if one slated to concentrate on one aspect of the game should include at least a little something for everyone. Lets face it, a handful of extras in I20 - a new contact or arc for solo/small teams, a new costume for the fashionestas, a long postponed bug fix, a new power customization, etc - might have taking a modicum of developer time away from the second installment of Incarnates, but it would have gone a long way to reassuring for most of us *not* interested in end-game that we're not being overlooked in lue of it.) -
-
Now that Incarnates is out of the way, here's where I'd go:
1) Asymmetrical costume options, including left & right arms/legs
2) Jet/jump packs as an alt to Fly/Super Jump. The animations are there, just re-skin/color and make them available
3) Full masks that skin colors to not bleed through and have textures to match body skins.
4) Global completion on "intro missions" or at least, an alternative random mission offered at the same time. No more locking out Contacts just to "show off" a hazard or zone.
5) Global unlocks on mission/event based costume goodies.
And the Biggie... 6) A reworking of the Teleport Travel Power(s). Personally, I would simple add fifth "Long Distance Teleport" power that costs a large chunk of end to go anywhere on the map (maybe even with a zone option as well, using the base transporter landing points?), Easy way around height issue using map, bind it with the "/stuck" command so it kicks you out to the next reachable space.
Also, Starting with Issue 22, I would make some changes on what to expect in issue releases:
a) 1-2 Power Customizations, based on Origin (Like a ray gun alternative for blaster powers, for example)
b) 1-2 Costume Options. Either one or two full costumes, or one or two "really cool things"
c) 1 new arc (or several mini-arcs) covering content from Level 5 to Level 45. It could be one contiguous arc , several linked arcs or several mini-arcs.
d) 5 new random missions, added to the mix.
e) 5 new tip missions, added to the mix. -

Vet Rewards need rethought
As has been said by many many players, in the many many threads about this:
Vet rewards are a thank-you for those players that have supported the game throughout its life. They are not a right, they're a gift from the devs for your loyalty (one you don't get to pick). If you've supported the game for 3 month to 7 years (so far) you earn the reward for supporting the game for that period of time.
Simple as that.
