Probably not.(that was the story line in the Unicron Trilogy so I suppose it's possible.) It was likely just where a bunch of forgetten bad guys crashed as Sam mentioned the Sentinel Prime expedition in his All Spark induced rant in ROTF. Shockwave has already been revealed to be the big bad of the film. I doubt we'll see any mention of Unicron. (which I prefer to stay that way.)

Surprising they haven't shown any Decepticon clearly as they did in the last two films. Both BoneCrusher and Demolisher were heavily shown and went down rather quickly. So no telling who's going be the victim of Prime's instant ownage. (besides whoever he roadkilled while tagteaming with Silverbolt back to back in the trailer.)

If they are in the film, they ve been managed to been kept a very good secret. The toys have been made months in advance so they re usually the big give away to what might be coming. (like Jet-optimus was in the film last time. I knew Prime had to come back by the end because of that.)

Well yet another transformer movie that looks like garbage but im sure my son will want to see. Luckily its sandwiched between captian america, harry potter and im sure something else im forgetting. So when i play that "we dont have money to see them all" i can push him toward better movies.
I don't why the hate. All I see is summer action movie goodness! \o/

Well, while I'm still highly sceptical of Bays claims of 'more depth' and character detail (This is Baysplosions after all) I do think it'll be one hell of an action movie.
At least I know I have the option to just turn off my brain and enjoy the cool. And it does look cool, I admit.

I'm one of the rare people that likes this series. 1 was fantastic, 2 wasn't AS good as 1 to me cause of all the language but was still entertaining so I can't wait for 3.
I'm only disappointed they replaced Megan Fox with another mannequin actress. They should have brought her back, kept Sam single or replaced her with someone who has a purpose other than to be pretty.
I'd rather they just said 'She's away on holiday/on a course/with her Dad' etc, myself...
And please, let there be no dogs on sofas and Devastators nads scenes, puh-lease >_<

While I would've loved to see Unicron, any chance of him appearing was pretty much shot down when the Ferrari seen during filming was confirmed to be a Decepticon named Dreadbox, and NOT Hot Rod. And you can't have Unicron without Hot Rod. You get one, you need the other.
But watching the new trailer, I had a big ol' nerd smile going on. Shockwave, Laserbeak, a full-scale war...I'm actually really looking forward to it.
Also, just an interesting aside regarding all the explosions in the Bay Transformers movies: I once counted each and every explosion in the 1986 movie. Bay has nothing, NOTHING on the amount of explosions in that movie. I believe it was something around 146.
Bay's Transformers 2 explosions got him into the Guinness Book of World Records. How's your cartoon stack up against that?

That's actually for the biggest explosion on film with actors present, not the most explosions.
Of course, y'know, animating an explosion is an entirely different thing than actually blowing something up. But for sheer amount of explosions in a Transformers movie, the animated movie practically has an explosion going off almost every minute.

I really want to see this! I liked the first two, when I watched them the first ten times!
Honestly, though, with these movies, the positives (Transformers!, more or less realistic, true to the cartoon, etc.) outweigh the negatives (Mudflaps & Skids, Devastators "balls") ehough for em to enjoy the them (movies).
It looks like I'll be seeing it alone, though, as my boyfriend abhors Michael Bay (too many helicopters, I guess).

Welker still does the voice for Soundwave so it's cool in my book. Never was the biggest fan of his voice as Megatron, especially his work as him in the movie games, he has gotten much raspier over the years. His Soundwave/Dr Claw voice on the other hand was always cool. He probably voiced like a 3rd of the original cast himself in transformers which most of his voices were really good. Fred Tasticore, Corey Burton, and David Kaye(mind you Kaye played a very different character. He was more brains than brawn.) were all better Megatrons in my mind.

I shouldn't need to go to an outside source to discover 'Ok, what the crap was actually happenng then? Who was that? Where were they?'
Bayformers 2, the layout of the College. Suddenly theres a library, then the party part, then the...other parts...now suddenly they're...somewhere else? The insane pace Bay lays down doesn't give you any time to think, to have any notion of who, why or where, other than HEY! SPLOSIONS!

I'm going to the library soon. I will be strongly tempted to get both Transformers movies and count the explosions. I will likewise be strongly tempted to repeat Taylor's last line in Planet of the Apes.
