Quote:I want a vampire MM.I think them creating this pet is opening the door to an animal-themed mastermind set.
Think about it. What was always the response from the devs whenever someone would request an animal themed MM primary?
"We'd like to, but we don't have a 4-legged skeleton to use for it."
Now they do.
We have the face. We have the costume. We have bats. And now, we have wolves. Good to go. -

Quote:<shrug>It was a Pool C (?) recipe in 10-15 minutes, much like the Eden trial.
Sadly, both of these are unplayed since the (justifiable) change.
I still run both of them. And the Abandoned Sewer trial is easy if people pay even a little attention. I routinely complete it in under half the allowed time. -

Yes, the fact that this trial requires exactly 8 is kind of a nuisance. However, we should be able to recruit extra people if needed. Also, I have two accounts so we can run it just fine with 7.

Cavern of Transcendence Trial
Level 12+
Requires 8 exactly.
Contact is in The Hollows.
1. Ironblade - my time/rad defender if I get around to unlocking Karsis on him, otherwise someone else.
2. Errant - someone
3. GATE-keeper - N-TREPID (rad/sonic)
4. AngelicaVenger - someone else

Quote:No. Recipe drops are based on the ENEMY level, not yours. The exception to this is the end of mission reward. If you get a recipe at the end of the mission, it will be based on your ACTUAL level, not combat level.Your recipes will always drop based on your COMBAT level. That is, if your level is set higher or lower because you are on a team or running a TF, Flashback, SSA, etc, your drops will always come from your temporary level.
As a demonstration that recipes are based on the enemy level, have you ever gotten a recipe from a zone event? (Rikti raid, zombie attack, etc.) Even though they con as even level, the enemies have a 'hidden' actual level and that is the level at which the recipes will drop (I think it's 35 for the Rikti invaders). You can be level 50 or level 1 - it makes no difference. -

Quote:1. Create new toon.What "exploit"?
Simply defining anything you happen to be arguing against as an "exploit" doesn't make it so.
2. PL to level 10.
3. Run first arc twice for 2 A-Merits.
4. Delete and repeat.
5. Profit. A 'once per week' reward can be earned a dozen or more times a day (depending on your appetite for tedium).
That is what people were doing and that is what the change was intended to stop. So, it SEEMS the devs considered that an exploit but none of them have actually used that word. -
Quote:orly? Taking steps to control game lag is somehow pandering to the free players? You're only feeding my point though - all of these changes, every single change they are making is to please their new freebie moneybags.
Quote:If you are a loyal customer of the game you are being short-changed now in the new model, and if you can't see that you're blind.
How is your statement any different from, "If you disagree with me, it's because you're stupid."? -

I would prefer for Manticore and Sister Psyche to survive since such a big deal was made about the wedding. It would be too tragic if one of them died. For that reason, I don't think it will be either of them.
Statesman is the 'face' of the game, so I think he's safe.
The unseen speaker said the obelisk won't work on a spirit, so Numina is safe (if we take him at face value).
Since Citadel is not human, I think he's safe for the same reason.
Personally, I think either Positron (maybe) or Synapse (most likely, IMO) will die and the 'man without a zone' (Back Alley Brawler) will take over as contact for that task force. -

Quote:Yeah, Melies' 'A Trip To The Moon' didn't come along until 1902.Don't make excuses for the youngsters. They should culture themselves. Anyone who only watches movies made after they were born is doing a disservice to themselves. (Well, except maybe Besse Cooper and the handful of other people born in the 1800s that are still arlive, since movies made before 1896 weren't very good...)

Nope. Level doesn't affect drops, as long as:
1) They're not conning grey to you.
2) Additionally, you only get shards from enemies that are even level or higher.
RANK does affect drops (i.e. minion vs lieutenant etc). -
Quote:Though I was rather disappointed with this change as much as the next guy, it makes the reward consistent across the board.Quote:Not sure what change you are referring to here. The 50 merits the first time you affirm thing is not a change.
THAT change. -
Quote:Looks like a textbook case of wearing blinders here.If you consider that vet pets have been available for 3+ years and this is the first time that any issue of "lag induced by vet pets" has been presented to us you have a bad case of falling for a corporate answer of bs.
Did it occur to you that we will now be able to buy pets, lots of them, from the Paragon Market. The dog isn't even on live and people are DROOLING over it. I'm guessing the next purchasable pet is going to be a cat.
But you can go on living in the past and ignore the fact that adding onscreen entities requires more resources. -
Have you tried adjusting your camera so that you are looking up through the floor? Aside from being useful for 'old style stacking', this usually lets you see things inside the walls or other objects.

Quote:Yes and base items 'rank' is based on their size so that affects how they con to players also.(And I don't remember if teleporters showed levels before, but they are now - l50.)
On a side note, when I walk into my kitchen, the microwave oven is 'targetable' and 'destructible'. That doesn't mean I have to destroy it. -
Quote:Paragon Studios is located in California. The servers are in Texas.However... brain missed a cycle and I had to re-read that... are you saying that the programming is done at a completely separate site from where the servers are stationed?
Quote:Is the compiled code physically transferred from site A to B -
Quote:There is a photo on Paragonwiki of the Paragon Studios personnel in August 2010. I count 61 people in the photo.Well, I'll be the first to admit I don't keep up on the happenings at Paragon Studios, but the last I heard their staff was in the high teens. Even if we (generously) assume that everyone on the payroll costs $100k to employ, that's an upper bound of $2 million per year for staffing.
This only includes people at that location. The GM's work for NCSoft and are based elsewhere. The servers are located in Texas and would require people at that location also.
