Starting to get REALLY peeved with the market.
I just wished that when you clicked the "get all influence" button you actually did get all the influence and it emptied out ALL the sold slots instead of part of them and then locked out. The rest I can live with but this is annoying.
It's the same feeling you get when a program stops responding and you get that pop up window "X program is not responding, click to end now," and you click it and...... nothing. I want the program to actually end, NOW as advertised.

This has happened to me before - but only when I chose to "get all inf"
So, I've learned that when it happens, close the screen, then re-open it. 3 times this worked, once it did not.
I have the feeling you've tried this already, but you didn't mention it, so I figured I would.

According to redname posts on the 21.5 beta boards, there is some sort of storage upgrade coming to the market. This is apparently a non-functional change, meaning how we use the market isn't changing. It's some sort of infrastructure thing. I am hopeful that this will include some sort of performance enhancements, which will then reduce how much this lockout thing happens.

This only happens to me when I hit the 'get all inf' button as well. My solution is to just not hit that button.
What I've been doing:
Use the handy /auctionhouse to open the auction house, choose claim all influence.
Get locked out
Wait... wait... wait... wait
or
Travel to the nearest actual AH location, by the time I get there it's sometimes freed up. Usually it's not since I have to craft in my base and I also have to exit the base to use /auctionhouse, there is an AH close to the base portal in the zones I favor (Talos, Cap).
Lately I've just been claiming things individually, it's very slow, tedious and annoying.

I have always been able to induce it by claiming a number of things individually, if I still do it rapidly. At this point I just hit "claim all" because it's faster to do and I just do it 2-3 times over the course of a few minutes. It's annoying to have to do that, though.

This is normally when I get it too. Lately, however, I have started to get it when dragging things onto the market. I have had this happen even when it's my very first market interaction, meaning I cannot personally have created a backlog of market activities. I have to be suffering from someone else's backlog, or a general backlog of the entire system.

The response I got back from support when I ticketed this was that it's a network latency issue with the server. There's only so many transactions that the network connection to the market server can handle at a given time. If it cranks beyond this as you happen to be dropping something, you get the arbitrary time-out.
Stupidest system EVER!
I run into that stinkin' lockout all the time.
Try dumping your salvage for 1 inf quickly on the market. Bam. Lockout!
Try claiming all inf. Bam. Lockout!
I would love to see it allow more transactions before a lockout.

Never, ever experienced this...
Never, ever used the "Get All Inf" button.
I suspect a corrolation...

I never experienced this either. Is this a new issue?

Nope. Even when I retrieve stuff individually doing "One mississippi, two mississippi" I still get timed out after a random number of retrievals.
Or if I'm putting items (like crafted IOs) on the market in a similar fashion.
The fact that I'm now maxed on market slots at any given level means that I have to put up with this more than I used to.
I almost never have the issue and I use the Get all Inf. button too.

I have never encountered this unless I am literally clicking too fast to see a reaction. Have you considered it might be clientside? Does this show up on multiple computers?

There's no way it's client side on my system. I can run four copies of CoH, have a 2 megabyte/sec sustained download speed and a 500 kilobyte/sec sustained upload speed. (Burst speeds are better for certain things like HTTP file downloads.)

And, apparently they have no way to fix it (that they know of).

Seriously.
I can't add more than four or five things to the market in rapid succession without triggering an indefinitely timed lockout?
Now, I like marketing and all, and I'm not asking the ability to speed-dump 50 slots every second. But JESUS H. CHRYSLER CORDOBA (with Rich Corinthian Leather seats)!!! I don't want to have to go "Place-Wait a full minute-Place-Wait a full minute-Place-..."
Isn't there ANYTHING the devs can do to improve performance on the damn thing BESIDES these "twiddle my frickin thumbs" timeouts for wanting to get in, drop, and get the hell out?
It was annoying on toons sporting 15-20 slots. It's aggravating as **** with 40-50. Trying to retrieve income on the Sold tab takes between 10 and 12 and then the market goes away for a couple minutes.
Again, I like using the market. What I HATE is having to play stupid little timing games to try insure and I don't get locked out of the damn thing.
