Starting to get REALLY peeved with the market.

Heh. I run into this listing common high-level salvage for <10 inf. It's more like "people with 100+ salvage slots" problems.

In my experience it seems to happen if you send to many commands to quickly. The "Get All Inf" button is a major offender but it can happen for other command types. Notably if you are moving enhancements from your try to the market by double clicking on them it will freeze after 5 or so enhancements (using drag and drop generally avoids this). Similarly listing a number items by repeatedly clicking on the "post" button can cause a freeze (again, pausing a bit between transactions will generally avoid it).

In general it seems that trying to execute more than about 1 command per second will cause problems.

Actually, I've found, in the interim, that single-clicking enhancements while the market interface is open moves them as well. And it takes significantly more time to lock out that way (can get 12-15 in before I worry about locking). Possibly the issued with double-clicking (since it moves on the first click) sets up a nasty client check when nothing is actually moved over on the second and subsequent clicks.

Actually listing for a price I don't have an issue with most of the time. I can knock out 40 common IOs this way in short order just by being lazy with my wrist moving to expand the item, then back over to Post it.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

I'll have to test that. Last time I tried I had to double click but it might be soemthing funny with the way I'm clicking.

See, I'm laizer than that, I just click on the post button to expand the IO and click again to post it. No wrist movement required.

It is indeed single-click only.

And I logged on post-patch today to see that two of my common-IO market toons, which I left with filled market slots last night, were EMPTY today. Not sold. EMPTY.

I both bugged and petitioned it.

They're just lucky it wasn't my main who's selling off Purples right now. Or my main Purple crafter.

Losing a couple billion wouldn't really hurt me any, but I'd STILL be ticked off and calling for someone's manhood on a platter.

One trick that helps when you get locked out of the market is that adding something to the market can unlock the interface. If you try to do it too soon after being locked out you just get the message again, but if you wait 5-10 seconds and then drop something on the market, if it gets successfully added that will unlock the interface. It's much faster than waiting for it to unlock on its own.

As for the cause of the lockout triggering, I get it from clicking "Get all inf" usually but also from adding IOs to the market too quickly. If it's too many requests in too short a time that's the problem a change I'd like to see would be to have the "Get all inf" button send a "Get all inf" message to the server, rather than sending a deluge of individual inf claim requests.

This thing is very irritating and I encounter it OFTEN, but it is still not as irritating as the 30 second wait to log out and go to a new toon.

I really wish they did remove that.

Just the opposite, they recently removed the one method people were using to bypass the logout timer (/buycoh).

Yes, and since I had this macro'd on each of my toons, it made me sad.
