Quote:I think people were simply puzzled why you would even MENTION the possibility. These are standard door missions with standard enemies. There is no reason to think they operate differently from any other mission in the game (obviously excluding AE).That's why I didn't state my answers as absolutes. "I'm not sure", "I think", "makes me wonder", "I really don't know" and "if" are the words to look at in my responses that let readers know that my responses aren't stated as being definitive answers, even the ones where I'm clarifying what I said previously.

Quote:If you're actually concerned about this, I would suggest better security on your computer. In case you're unaware, malware exists that will take screenshots to capture 'pre entered' account ID's. So, having the software remember you is no defense unless it also OBSCURES the account ID.Anyway. It's one thing to demand our password over and over and over and over... but at least the game remembers our username.
The forum does not. This is why having the same password sucks.
A nefarious person could wind up with the username and password for both the forum and the game with a keylogger. -
Quote:And a lot of banks are flat-out slimy about it. If you have $100 in the account and write checks for $90, $30 and $15, most banks will apply the $90 one first so that they can hit you with 2 fees instead of just 1 if they applied the smaller checks first.First, I'm sorry this happened to you. Overdraft fees are heinous and should really be reined in by some governing body.
Quote:As someone who is intimate with the workings of banks, I would strongly urge you to first- pay the fees, and secondly,

I think they're going to have REAL fun trying to track this one down. People are posting that it has to do with whether the character had previously received the holiday temp powers, but it's not just that.
I've logged into.... I think 8 toons since the Winter Event started. ONE of them had this problem. This character is less than 2 months old. But another character I made within a week of that one did NOT have the trays cleared. I wonder if alignment could be involved. One was a hero and one was a villain. -
When did they get color-coding? I never noticed that. My usual method to identify the crates is to target them to see what the name is. If you click it from outside of 'clicking range', you'll just select it and see the name.

Quote:One of the game official personnel posted on a public forum that Statesman is going to die and *I'M* the one who needs to use spoiler tags???Thank you for using spoiler tags there IronSnapeKillsDumbledorblade.
Did you also miss the 'Salute to Statesman' bit posted WEEKS AGO? -
Quote:I'm well aware of that. I wasn't talking about the phase where he has the Marked For Death affect. I was talking about later where the special effects suggest he is just teleporting around one-shotting people. You have ZERO chance to react or defend yourself. And, as I noted, it's particularly cheesy because he bypasses the one-shot code.I largely find all the trials a drag, tbh, but one thing I haven't had any difficulty with myself is Malestrom's Marked For Death mechanic. A dot appears above your head, and then you have about 5 seconds to break line of sight. The three times I've done the TPN, he's appeared outside on the steps, and whenever i get marked For Death there's been ample time for me to jump over the wall at the bottom of the steps and a few seconds later the dot disappears.

The copy tool appears to be working. I have been trying it every day and today it worked. I have not yet checked to see if the copy was actually successful, but the copy tool itself said all the right things.

Quote:Are you referring to this thread, where Zwillinger informs us that Statesman is going to die in SSA part 5?If you are referring to that other thread, then no, that is NOT canon and we have no idea at the moment. Stop believing BS, it's bad for you.
Yes, that really was posted by a redname. -
Quote:hmm... Should I laugh, mock or scoff? Tough call.I've noticed when looking at mostly everyone's build posted on this thread, it seems as if no-one knows that slotting more than 2 slots/recharge enhancements on Hasten, Rage and so forth is overkill.
I'll take the high road and explain that my calculations (i.e. FACTS) contradict your assertion.
Quote:Just sharing my cluelessness.
(Couldn't resist some snark. His post was just too ridiculous.) -

By the way, in case people are not aware:
When you run Lars Hansen's arc via Ouroboros, everyone on the team unlocks Ernie. Unlike when you run the arc via Striga and only the mission-holder unlocks Hess. -

Quote:Freaked me out. You're referred to as Ms. Orosco if you're on a female char, and Mr. Daniels as a Male char I couldn't find any P-Wiki Reference to either of those names.
First time I ran it was on my tank, Staff Sgt Frost, whose bio says his real name is Daniel. -

Quote:Actually, it doesn't seem that bad to me at all. At the current time, MoM is the ONLY trial for which I have not been on a failed run. It can be a little rough, depending on what nightmares Malaise summons, but it's not bad. What surprises me - and this isnt the first time I've seen it, and I'm not prompting this response either... is the amount of "man, this is no fun at all" I'm seeing. One person had been on 5 different leagues today, trying to complete this trial and when this one failed as well, they got quite upset.
Its as if they took the mindset from Keyes and just 'ported it over to MoM piecemeal. Unresistable KU/KD/KB/whatever it is, for the lose! Especially when coupled with the new tactic in town, unresistable damage pulses. Those are so enjoyable, so absolutely INCARNATE I just can't tell you.
Now, we can have Smiley-Girl in here running hither, thither and yon trying desperately to do all the damage control she can, as if she were a little Dutch girl trying to plug as many holes in the dike with her fingers as she can. "No oh no no NO, its not nearly as bad as you think it is!"
The one that really annoys me is TPN, specifically when Maelstrom starts one-shotting you as a 'special effect', rather than walking up to you and smacking you. The nightmares are a fight. The purple patches can be avoided and don't kill you instantly. Maelstrom one-shots you with no warning. And his attack was split into two parts specifically to NEGATE the one-shot code. Cheesy design.
It reminds of something from the April Fool's issue of a gaming magazine - might have been Dragon Magazine - the Wandering Damage Table. It bypassed the hassle of writing up wandering monsters - you just rolled the dice and the players took damage. One of the items on the table was "Roll every die you own and take that much damage." Yeah, that's Maelstrom. -
Yeah, one of my tanks got it the other day. I think it's just 'one of those things'. Heroes can also earn one of the red-side Family defeat badges beating up Johnny Sonata's pals.... Gangbuster? I forget which one.

Quote:Well, with that kind of time to lock-up, my first thought is overheating.I got my new comp a few days ago and was looking forward to getting rid of my old overheating one. Problem is that I crash more often now than I ever did with my old comp.
Are you running any utilities to monitor your CPU and GPU temperatures? -

The Ernesto Hess Task Force is up next. Or Citadel. Both are level 25-30, but we're doing Hess first. Citadel will be the week after.
NOTE: The team leader needs to have unlocked Ernesto Hess as a contact in order to start the task force. I have unlocked him on my defender. However, we generally end up running two teams so we will need a second person who has the contact unlocked. If you want to unlock Hess as a contact, you need to do Lars Hansen's arc. Running it via Ouroboros is faster than running through all the Striga arcs. Lars' arc is called "A Madman's Counsel".

Because there is nothing to stop it there. That's why it's called a SOFT cap. Unlike, say, damage resistance on a tank which has a HARD cap at 90%. A fire tank can easily get their fire resistance way above 90%, which gives them 90%. Nothing can get it above that number - not incarnate powers, not buffs from other players.
