Until Issue 20 is released. After that, we'll be able to earn shards while exemped.
  2. I think the ITF will be huge when it's the WST since it is already very popular and run quite often. I think this is because:
    1) A wide level range can join (35-50).
    2) Incarnates can get shards.
    3) Anyone can get purple recipes.
    4) It's one of the better-written TF's.

I expect that the first sub-50 TF *AFTER* Issue 20 will also be huge, since we will be able to earn shards while exemped.
  3. I'm happy with the way things have gone so far. My focus shifts over time. Before the Incarnate stuff, I was playing a lot of new toons and not playing my main (Ironblade) or other 50's much.

When we first got the Incarnate stuff, I gradually ran all my 50's through Ramiel's arc. I enjoyed revisiting all these toons (21 of them), some of whom I had not touched for weeks.

When we got the WST, I focused back on Ironblade. I got him the badge for assisting on 50 WST's a couple weeks ago. Now I'm looking at which 50's need the level shift (I think just 4) and how many need the Alpha slotted so they can do Apex and Tin Mage (2 or 3 others).

I'm still doing other stuff, also. Every Tuesday is a regularly scheduled villain night. Every week I run at least one character who can still earn XP through the WST.

The biggest change I'm seeing is that, on several global channels I'm on, the mantra is task force, task force, task force. This is not good for people who like to do other things. It's fine for me, though. I love doing task forces. I will point out, though, that I'm seeing a lot less focus on the WST than a month ago. I think we're moving back toward 'normal' play patterns. I don't think we'll ever go back to exactly the way things were a few months back, but that's to be expected. The game evolves. We form a new consensus of 'normal play'. Each major new feature causes a disruption, then it settles down. It may settle down with the new feature being under-utilized or the new feature may successfully integrate into the game as a whole and remain popular.

At least some aspects of the Incarnate system have integrated. Running Ramiel's arc is something that I intend to do with every single character, just as all my toons do the Midnighter arc and the Vanguard arc. This gives them the maximum range of options and qualifies them for the optional drops (Vanguard Merits and Incarnate Shards).

On some toons. If my dark defender is going to fly any significant distance, she'll switch to either the costume with the rocket boots or the one with the tech wings.

And a freebie question: Would the option to customize powers further by costume, so much so that you can lock out powers (or lock them in), be of interest to anyone?
Not really. It sounds like A LOT of programming work for a very narrow audience.

Darn right. And some yammering from a goat is hardly going to deter me. Having said that, I've only felt it necessary to petition two characters for name/appearance in the years I've been here. One was a blatant Green Lantern rip-off, in every possible detail (costume, name, bio). The other character had a name that was a reference to a sexual act.

Oh, this sounds like a sporting event that I would really prefer NOT to see.

Email it to another character? I'm leery of storing it in the market.

I collect temp powers and any that I can't easily replace are removed from my power trays. Even so, when I do a task force with Ironblade that gives a temp power, it ends up in the only open slot in my 7th tray.

    Chicken Scratch

    "Danger! Danger!"
In this context, I imagine that is to be followed by "The sky is falling!", rather than "Will Robinson".

I know in the past when the store has crashed or gone offline, it looks like character slots disappear.
You will not lose access to characters. Any EMPTY slots beyond the basic number have to be 'verified' against the store database to confirm their existence. These EMPTY slots will be unavailable during that time.

So if you expect to want to make a new toon in the next couple of days, DO EET NAO!

Half right. It *IS* a team buff, but it has a duration. We got around the team limitation by having a team of toons with the power, then the tank quit and joined a second team. Therefore, you could have up to 14 Group Fly stacked with just 2 teams.

We only needed him flying long enough for screenshots.
  14. I think Bobcat would be your main concern. After Neuron dies, she gets 'super vengeance'. I don't know how much to hit it gives her but, when she does hit, it's for about 7000 pts of damage.

Look for corpses in front of where Battle Maiden and her friends are standing. Unless you're the first one through the door - in which case you might get to see them die.

Yep, definitely the simplest method - simple in terms of tactics; it takes advance preparation. After all, if brute force doesn't work, you're not using enough of it.

I can't speak to the claim of "most". I have DSL from Verizon and my IP address changes whenever the connection resets. Resetting the modem will do that every single time. Also, a lightning strike in the vicinity will also do it.

And no, the lightning isn't affecting my hardware. It's affecting Verizon's hardware.

Well, if that's the case, then we have a security system designed by morons. This is not reassuring.

  22. It's worth point out that, since the wiki is updated by the players and not the devs, it could be wrong. Given the amount of information present, we can be certain at any time that SOME of it is wrong.

Also, were we ever told by a redname that the time is actually 15 minutes? Maybe they did datamining and came up with some oddball time like 14 or 17 minutes and that's why people have conflicting reports.

The code is listed in its entirety in the confirming email that is sent out.

I HOPE it's not based on IP address. Most people do not have a fixed IP address.
  24. . . . and we got the Master badge in a single run.
  25. Well, this task force isn't too hard. In fact, it can be completed by a team of poop-flinging monkeys. I could use a Notice on Taiga Tigress (WP/ice tank) or Lifeshadow (emp/dark defender). I'll bring one of them.
