Hi guys.

Have anyone of your recognized that Level 2 is missing when you are doing a Respec? I start with Level 0, followed by Level 1 - and then Level 3. The bug comes within any of my toons.

That the level your character is for placing the powers. You don't get powers at level 3 you get slots which are placed after choosing all your powers during a respec.

Essentially what Diggis said, but here's another way to look at it:

You respec a toon, it says "Ooh, a Level 0 toon. Please select your level 1 powers. Thanks. Ooh, a level 1 toon with enough XP to be level 2, you are currently level 1, please select your level 2 power. Thanks. Ooh, a level 3 toon with enough XP to be level 4, you are currently level 3, please select your level 4 power." And it carries on until you are no longer a Level X toon with enough XP to be level X+1.

Then it lets you set your slots.

I finished a respec today. At the end I have 2 slots lost. And after Level 3 comes Level 4, after Level 4 comes Level 5 etc. Level 2 is only missing so I still think this must be a bug.

Kindly excuse the mild snark in this reply:

How many slots do you gain at level 2?

Um...

Go count how many slots you have (minus the default one.) You'll find you're not missing them. You may have placed extras somewhere that didn't have them before - you do, after all, have more powers now if you're respeccing a pre-Inherent Fitness character.

If you use a second build (if you don't actually *use* them, it'll be a throwaway build,) it'll treat it exactly as if you're leveling. You can compare them that way.

(Respec process does powers - 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. in order, then slots. Second build treats it like a level 1 that got PL'd to 50 and is just now seeing the trainer - assuming you're 50 - so it'll go power, power, slots, power, slots, etc.)

I had a respec issue, as well. I wasn't able to unlock my epic pool until lvl 44. I am not sure if that means I lost a power in there somewhere, or it really wasn't open until 44. I just know that I had 3 choices left when I was finally able to open the pool instead of 4. Where the power was lost, I am not sure.

I know this thread is sort of old, but I was having a similar issue. I did my respec, and didn't notice much odd until I did my slots. I got up level 44, and using mids do not have the same options for slotting as I did in mids.

Now it could be a weird quirk, as I HAVE the slots, 52 on the mids build and 52 on my toon, but my next power slots say 43 (level) but the power isn't even available to me yet.

So what I am guessing is that maybe Mids is messing up, and not the game. That or we are both not seeing it. It didn't give an option to chose a power at level 2, and slots seem gone. All powers are somehow accounted for, but maybe at one level, you chose a power instead of slots? Maybe that is why it is showing up.

I'm thik ning this has to be a misunderstanding of some kind, as I have recently respecced several high-level characters using Mids and did not have this problem, and also seeing as I can't quite understand what you're saying.

Can you perhaps post the Mids build and point to exactly where the in-game respec diverges from it?

It is a quirk in how things are numbered and presented. In the end you end up with all your slots and powers, except maybe one epic choice if I am hearing right.

Last time I did a respec it was listing level 3,5,7 etc for my power choices. A bit confusing dont you think?

No need to get snarky because you figured it out and he didnt.

If you're referring to Sailboat, he was perfectly polite. I'm not sure why you're copping an attitude.
