I have seen this happen to many of my chars during battles and it drives me crazy. I suppose if your character had sunglasses and wore a suit (ala Men-In-Black), it might look normal for them to look calm and relaxed in the middle of a heated battle, but all my chars just look like clueless dolts between attack animations.

Quote:Hyperbole. As with everything else CoX, the League thing is optional. They'll be lots of teams that refuse to League. And there will be those less common situations (Hami Raids and Mothership Raids) where the League option might be quite useful. But still optional.Certainly not appealing to me, i hated wow for this and now looks like COH going this way to
Edit: Okay, Incarnate Trials have a minimum quantity of players requirements. That kinda means you HAVE to League to play them. I should have read further before I commented. -
Awareness is the decider. Any person who is conscious and aware enough knows, at the core of their being, what rights every living thing is entitled to. Because those rights are self-evident (sound familiar?) to those who are aware enough.

I'm honestly more excited by this than the Beast Pack release! Go, Michelle, go!

I was picturing it in my head as I was reading it. Excellent dialog and imagery! I'm very excited about the potential of this project going forward, and would be glad to help in any way I can.

Wow. It's not easy to make me cry. But that was just awesome. Thanks Michelle.

The only problem I would have with an all MM STF is that it would be too easy, and I like a challenge.
The classes that are commonly scorned are the ones I enjoy on my teams most. I like to throw aside preconceptions. Each new team for me is a unique experience. Thank you fellow players for being special. -
Quote:I've had the in-game must off for over 6 years. I turned it on the other day just to see what I was missing and turned it off again after 30 minutes or so. For me it's actually immersion breaking.A few times then switch if off, tbh. We all know that'd happen.
I would like an option where we can turn on just the music for Pocket D and the Praetorian dance area and the Getto Blaster, and keep the primary in-game "zone" music off. -
Quote:I am having this exact same issue as of Feb 1st, 2011. From multiple computers on different networks. So, families credit card changed, trying to change which card to charge too, but there's an "error" everytime. Let's hope they get this fixed before my sub runs out.
I finally had to call NCSoft support on the phone to get this resolved. I will say they were very helpful and resolved this issue for me. But why is there a 'Change Card' option in Billing Summary that is completely useless... seems designed to frustrate customers? -
Hey Sam, is your MM Alpha slotted? Is it possible that mobs are more inclined to flee from our Alpha slotted characters? Hmm...

Quote:This is exactly how I feel about voice chat in MMORPG's. Thanks Jophiel for putting it so clearly.Hate voice chat in MMORPGs for various reasons, chief among them being the total blowing of immersion. I used to play another MMORPG that had native voice chatting and 75% of the time joining a group meant "Turn your voice on!" and then listening to some guy approach fighting three mobs as though he were Patton planning his North Africa campaign. People usually don't seem to type that out (because all the mobs would be dead before you finished it) but when you can just say it... Hhhoooooo-boy.

Shodowy Presence is one of those powers that I don't keep on a hotbar. That pretty much says how useful I find it

I can confirm that these latest drivers fix my previous issues caused by the 260.99 drivers which included crashing when opening the contact list. Twitchy Bloom behaviour that required me to disable the Bloom setting. An annoying bug that required me to reboot my computer after exiting CoX or the next time I ran it my FPS were significantly reduced. I am extremely happy with these new drivers.
I highly recommend doing a 'clean' install of these drivers. A clean install checkbox is available in the Advanced install option of the drivers. -

-These forums and the quality of the other people who play my favorite game. It always makes me feel special because everyone here is so special.
-For the Dev attitude toward making things fun. I don't remember if it was Posi or BaB's who said it: "When it comes to realism or fun, fun always wins."
-For being alive (after a major surgery a couple months ago). I was in the hospital missing CoX! I couldn't even visit the forums. The stupid IT people for the hospital block all websites that have anything to do with games? -
I've had my computer freeze when exiting to the character select screen sometimes. But not consistently. Usually Ctrl+Alt+Del let's me quit CoX though when this happens. Are you crashing every time you exit to the Character Select screen? How about exiting to the Login Screen, does that work?

Castle, do you remember that time several years ago when we met at that HeroCon? There was an immediate spark between us and we shared that night of unforgetable passion! You don't? Okay, neither do I since I just made that up.
I know you wouldn't be leaving CoX if it wasn't because an opportunity came along that you just couldn't pass up. I wish you all the best. -
Quote:I'll say the obvious since no one has yet. I actually have fun playing the game. Not counting my spoils at the end of the day. When did CoX suddenly become an "it's all about the loot" game?Sam has crystallized the inherent problem with the drop system, one I've been talking about in both the Merit and IO threads. For Merits and Shards, at least, why not just give us a standard single reward for completing a mission. That way at least we know we'll get something. Random rolls suck, period. They make me hate games.

Slogging through hundreds of AE missions to find the best ones is just too difficult. And I can't trust the rating at all. It's like every single AE mission has had its rating artificially bumped up by friends of the AE mission creator.
So until the devs decide to devote an employee or two to picking out the better arcs and adjusting the rating system so it has some actual meaning, I just avoid AE now. -
Quote:And what an awesome robot it is: http://www.lostintoys.com/museum/featrob.htmlI'm building a working, full sized replica of the Robot from "Lost in Space" with all my excess shards.
So what if it is all in my head? It's gonna look SPECTACULAR!
I figure it will take about 15,000 shards. -
Quote:What does it have to do with "End Game", seems like a new beginning to me for our level 50 characters. But I agree with you in that I don't like games where the "End Game" is what you shoot for. It's the journey to max level, not the arrival, that I enjoy. One of the things I've always liked about CoH is that it wasn't an "end game" MMO, so I honestly can't say I'm happy to see us getting an end game.
I see the Incarnate system as new content for our level 50 characters. And here I am now playing some characters I haven't playing in years and having a ball. Doesn't feel like any kind of End Game at all.
