I hope it is a joke, but for the longest time I thought Johny Butane was joking too.

How my soft-capped characters feel

I thought you were gonna use this clip.

This seems so much more fitting. -

NO MOAR S/L DAMAGE WEAPON SETS.
[/ QUOTE ]
Gotta love it when people say no to one idea yet never bring up suggestions on what they want. -
Soft cap is not that important on WP. S/L defense is where WP is lacking but makes up for it with decent resists. To add to the S/L defense Kinetic Combat sets help quite a bit. 4 of those plus a couple Pounding Slugfest for a bit more regen is what I normally put on a melee attack or 2.
Numina unique and the steadfast unique are very helpfull as well but also quite expensive. Defense sets, I like Luck of the gambler. With 4 slots you get +hp, +regen and +accuracy. If you cannot afford the +7.5 recharge you can still get 4 slots in there by just putting in everything that has defense in it. -

Dont base camp, you wont get droned.
[/ QUOTE ]That's BS because the weak [censored] heroes that do it for a living most use boost range and will tp you from the hill even. It's not a point of base camping it's with any war when you start losting your forced backward to your allies.
What needs to be done is add a -range component with in 75 feet of the drones or better yet add a no tp zone component ala pocket D with in a reasonable range of the drones.
[/ QUOTE ]
What needs to be done is for people to stop crying and not get so close to the base. A bunch of pissing and moaning by people who could not figure out how to be good at pvp was what got us PVP2.0. We don't need any more "improvements". -
I charge them 10 mil and oddly never get any takers on that. I figure if you are gonna leach you better make it worth my while.
And Darth, once you get that Moderator job I will take you off ignore. Until then. I will enjoy the silence. -
Or the author had a different arc he wanted to publish and not enough room and just dropped that one.
-
From an evil farmer here. We would use spawn point placement to jam pack a map full of mobs.
While I do agree that it would be a great tool for storytelling as well, you have to think like us evil farmers and how it could be abused. -
Gold rolls suck. I can tell you that much. Too much crap mixed in with the decent stuff to be worth the number of tickets.
-
I think darth should put in his application for the next mod opening. The OP said nothing about if farming should happen or not. He is just wondering what impact an incomming change will have to a certain playerbase. Anyone with half a brain or more knows that the purpose of the "official" thread is so that mod 8 has less work to do and he can put all the crap that he would rather not deal with in one giant thread.
There is no orginization in that thread whatsoever and this topic would be burried under all the whining about "farming is bad" and "booo you suck farming is not bad".
On topic, yes I farm and have an AE farm and that is mainly what I play. No I will not purhcase any more slots unless I feel like story telling.
So overall with many of the farming folks not getting more slots, it will probably be a bit easier to find real story arcs. -
I would rather keep them the way they are and be able to purchase them with merits and/or tickets even if it is only a random roll.
-
Lol yea DP is all you need to plug that psi hole. I have a farm on my spine/dark with mother meyhem and all those psi minions. Forget what they are called. Had an invuln tank run up to the first group, his HP started dropping fast. He hit DP and got a bunch of HP back. A few seconds later he was dead.
Yea that fix really works great. -

They would still fall short. The Brute damage cap is 700%(800?) and to reach that you need at least 2 Kins.
I think, correct me if I'm wrong.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is about right. With 1 kin I do about 450 damage every 6 seconds with foot stomp at full fury and with 2 its nearing 600 or so. That is if my memory serves me correctly.
[/ QUOTE ]
OR with 1 kin built with a TON of recharge .. I had 1 kin on an ITF once that had FS up very frequently my damage was up near 650-700 almost the whole TF. GOOD TIMES!
[/ QUOTE ]
Hehe wait till you hit KO Blow at the damage cap. Its something like 1200 not counting resists. Bout peed myself the first time I saw that. -

[/ QUOTE ] Your memory does not serve you correctly unless you were facing lower level mobs or ones with a weakness to smashing damage. (Are there any?) The brute cap for Footstomp vs even level mobs w/ no resistance is 503.
Now if they were debuffed with -resist then yea 600 is quite possible. -

This game is somewhat unbalanced. Some people have a ton of things.Others have very little. If it were balanced, everyone would have everything. My slots idea would just be another thing to unbalance the game, but with balance, and with things such as the booster packs, with some people having both of them, and others not having them at all?
Somehow, the game carries on,and my idea would just be another addition to the balanced unbalance if it is implemented as I suggested it to you.If you want to put it into a TF or an SF,that is cool too,but the Dev's may see this as a way to make money is all im saying, and it would probably wind up being for sale.I am open to any way this idea of mine could be activated.
[/ QUOTE ]
How did those people get tons of things? As far as inf and slotting their toons, through hard work. As far as booster packs, they made a choice that paying some extra money was worth the cool costumes, emotes, and powers you can get.
You are suggesting that you have a right to have those things wihtout having to work for them or paying money for them just like everyone else? -
It is all dumb luck. Got 4 in one match by switching toons when a drop hit, and coming back 10 min later. Then got nothing for quite some time.
-
All PVP IOs mal down to lvl 1. As long as you had that slot at whatever level you go down to, you will get the benifit.
-
Unsuppressed movement is not worth all the slots that you have to use to get it IMO. FA is also overkill when you can double stack rage. Something like this would be a more rounded build.

I think farming is a boring waste of time. Play the game instead.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless of course, you consider farming to be part of playing the game. In which case, farm away.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except...it's not
Space Invaders is more engaging than farming
[/ QUOTE ]
Not everyone has the same definition when it comes to playing game. Shocking isn't it?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm guessing from the snarky answer, you think farming is highly entertaining?
With the advent of Mission Architect, we have the opportunity to add a staggering amount of content to play. Far too often, it's used to farm, It's not playing an engaging plot. It abusing the system. Farming isn't playing, it's abusing the system. One isn't playing the game, they're playing with themselves.
[/ QUOTE ]
Official farming thread over that way ----->
If you want to whine and try and impose your views on others then do it there were we can ignore you propper. Otherwise stick to the topic of the thread.
Speaking of that, yea I would have to aggree with what others have said. Shield/SS/Pyro would be most damage but quite hard on the blue bar. Shield/Fire/Pyro is much cheeper to make decent. -

Oh man. I love those orange pants.
[/ QUOTE ]
Lol, the sword not the pants. Although they are pretty distracting. I am not sure where he puts the batteries. -

I'd just be happy to have a "delete all" button. Nothing more required. Those who'll be interested in their ads cannot be blocked from doing so, and that is the real problem in this scenario. Everything else about the situation can be dealt with by a finite and very surmountable number of clicks on a mouse. And that's if you really feel the need to solve it; the only tangible difference between spam and no spam is a little red highlight on a highly ignorable button.
Hence the desirable addition of a "delete all" button. Those of us who are bugged by the red light can nuke all the emails with the press of a single button.
[/ QUOTE ]
This.
Also remember they have to be paying customers to send email. Once they are banned they have to purchase another copy of the game. We want them to keep buying more and more copies of the game to help add more revenue to the company. -

[ QUOTE ]
Also: I'd rather have a high level SS or SM brute than a Fire brute. The issues with resistance are absurdly over-exaggerated.
[/ QUOTE ]
This.
I have both EM and Fire brutes at level 50. Both do decent damage and neither of them are terrible. I just like SS better mainly because I can kill large groups faster while killing single targets at about the same speed, at the same time mitigating much of the incomming damage.
Now back to claws. Brutes and Scrappers have similar damage when brutes are 85ish fury. So unless the ranged attacks are some how overpowered on scrappers, they would not be overpowered on brutes either.
