TP FOE!!!
Wait what? I TP Foed someone who was camping the base in RV into a drone on Monday night. It gave me the chance to LEAVE the base and fight in a less cornered area.
Are you asking to remove this?
(And I didn't know there was a phase shift with Teleport Foe. Is there really? That's horrible!)
TP foe is probably the worst idea to come out of PvP 1.0. It should have never been useable in PvP.

Yes, the group I usually run with have learned to camp just outside of TP foe range. We also tend to mark said TP foe user for immediate elimination if they venture beyond the safety of the drones.
I like TP foe. It adds variety to the OpFor's threat. I've been droned myself, and plan on adding the power to one of my controllers as a team pvp support.
I think the power is ok. The problem I see with it is when for example, you wanna tp foe into a tarpatch or ice slick, but they are temporarily phased for just a moment, it'sjust enough to get out, but drones don't give you the timer, they just say "Gotcha!" & it's back to the base.
That's because drones (and Hamidon too) can kill you through a phased status - as soon as you get within range of that drone, and it targets you, you're dead. Probably done to prevent someone from phasing and then running past all the drones into the enemy base to spawn kill.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
Dont base camp, you wont get droned.
Or base camp just out of TP range.
Actually, I don't know that what we are doing is base camping in the stricktest sense of the term. We don't just start out at the base and blockade it. We usually end up there after having fought the vils back to their base. We pin them for awhile then when its clear they don't have the numbers to break out we move back to the middle. The goal is to fight them, not keep them from entering.
Lately in RV (only zone on Infinity with action lately) we've worked hard at retreating when winning too badly because base camping sucks for both sides. Not to say we don't give chase.
Infinity and Victory mostly
dUmb, etc.
lolz PvP anymore, Market PvP for fun and profit
To put it another way we go to where the vils will stand and fight us. Sometimes that's pretty close to the base. I should also point out that I got droned partly because i chased someone to close the base who was running for cover.
I'm curious, maybe some of you veterans could tell me. How close do you need to get to a base to be considered base camping?

Close enough to get droned.

i would say right at the first heavys on both sides.
Now base camping does suck though. I mean i see pushing them back to there base, theres alot of fun in that, but after doing it over and over again for a long period of time it gets old and is better to back up to the middle and "reset" sorta to speak. At least thats how i view it.
Having been here when Villains were first put in the game, the problem wasn't so much as base camping as it was someone getting in behind the drones and PVP'ing in the enemy base. Used t obe there were drones on the walls and thats about it. If you take a look now, there's drones stuck all over inside bases in all sorts of odd places, that was becuase those places were all previous 'dead spots' where you could hide from the drones. In the early days, my Clan figured out how to get into the hero hospital to kill heroes cloning. Thats why theres drones INSIDE the hospital now.
TP foe used to be a highly aggressive weapon.
How about just make the zones like WB where you turn colors and can't be attacked. That makes sense to me. Or you could just respawn in a random location at full health on the map.
As a /devices blaster who thinks tp'ing folks into stacks of trip mines is always good for a few laughs, I had a strong dislike for the new "phase" period after tp foe.
However, with the way mez effects work now, the "phase" period was needed to stop tp-foe > stun > insta-kills that would have taken "EZ Mode" to a whole new level.

[/ QUOTE ]Well that's a load of crap, if you like droning you like droning, don't use your base is blocked as an excuse, each base hero and villians has multiple exits it's always a way out. Droner!!
The funny thing is, even though you seem like one of the whiners that got the changes made in the first place, you're probably still bad..------Macskull on Crop_of_shaolin

The problem is that people--no matter how smart they might be--behave as though they're idiots in zone pvp. As though they are locked into a bugs vs bug-zapper dance on both ends of it.
The ones being camped rush the campers, die, rinse, repeat. They behave as though alternate exits and the rest of the zone don't exist. Bugs... to bug zapper. It takes two sides for camping to happen, if you deny them targets at the base and force them to move to find a fight then you break the camp. But this seldom happens because... bugs, bug-zapper.
On the camper side of it, it's the same thing. Sit outside the enemy base and get droned, complain in broadcast, run back from hosp, get droned again, rinse, repeat. Bugs... bug zapper. Everything about the base camp situation--drones, npcs, easy escape for targets--works against them but still they sit there because that bug zapper is so mesmerizing.
Not that I have an answer to the problem. Trying to convince a team to break the cycle is like talking to a wall. Nine times out of ten the response is dead silence in team chat because they're too busy rushing back to get droned or killed by campers.
They should just remove bases/hospitals altogether.
When you zone in you have a portal similar to the RV base exit. This portal randomly puts you into one of 30 different spawn points on the map randomly. You can't be effected for 10 seconds. The portal exits have no drones on them.
When you die, you are given the option of leaving the zone, or respawning. You would spawn at full health and be uneffectable for 10 seconds.
This fixes the following:
Base camping
TPing into Dronese
Restricted areas
Being TPed out of the safe area while you have 1 HP
Issues that might arise:
A team happens to be outside the spawn point you come in at
Your team spawns at 8 different points and get picked off as the work to form up.
TP foe is a laughable excuse for a power and should have never been put into this game.

This is dead on actually. If you are inside the base and being camped...1 person leaves the base, Vet TPs the team to a different location and suprise the campers by attacking from behind. Done deal. Not always successful when the odds are 3 to 1, but its better then hugging the base and screaming at people, "I cant get out!!!"
As far as people complaining about being TPd+droned...you basically drone yourself. I always expect to get droned when at the enemy's base. I will usually post who is droning, compliment them on their great PvP skill and leave it at that.

21st try I know who you are.....Yar. Nice.
TP Foe is fun to drone people with. You don't want to be droned pack OJ's, IO's, Kins, and wtf ever else it takes to not be droned, hell even some space, and you be fine.
Let the good droning times roll.
Why would you install a phase shifting mechanism into tp foe so that It's less effective to people who would use it for "actual" fighting ( which still gives you the chance to get away) and neglect to fix it with people who sit in their base and drone (where you can't get away)?
It would be nice if you would make it so we can't be droned, or I can tp foe you without the phase after.
If you can't do that.... then take the phase off period.
