I invite brutes to my team because I know they will keep the team at a fast pace. If they don't, then I will not invite them again.

There are definite differences between Brutes and Tankers. For example, the fact that they're completely different ATs, and should be played differently.
So yeah. No. I won't be playing my brute like a tool.

I really don't understand what you are saying. I think you are asking that brutes be watered down to make tanks feel more superpowered, and that is absurd. I really think that if people are so upset with basic game mechanics (like AT properties) that they should either play different ATs or use IOs to improve the performance of his particular alt.
Asking brutes to be forced into a less aggressive role is retarded. I will echo what others have said- if you want to tank things you should play a tank. If you want to be an unequivocal steel ball of destruction and arrest, you should play a brute. Brutes are not tanks. Tanks are not brutes. Just because I rush into a mob and take alpha does not mean I am a tank.
Anyone looking for high base dmg or a high dmg ceiling in a melee type character should probably not being play tanks. There are 3 melee ATs that deal more damage on a regular basis.
Yes, as we all know Rogue is looming and the horizon. If some tankers are so insecure that they will be overshadowed and displaced by brutes, they probably have other issues going on.

Actually, I'd probably take the tanker resistance/defense stats.

I personally find the Brute AT to be VERY offensive, and should be removed from the game entirely. They should be replaced by a new AT, Ponies with rainbow auras a glitter spark powers.

No! Then the rest of the ATs will need to be able to have pony shapes with rainbow auras and glitter shapes, and we'll be left with NOTHING!!!

With the entire debacle in the Tanker Forums about their Offense and a warranted dam buff. I decided to make a idea on improving the brutes obvious weak point; our overt aggression.
A few people are stating that tanks should be more like brutes. I think we should instead play slow and lazier to give the tank a meaning the group again.
Instead of charging in with a full bar of fury destroying mobs, we should only go in with half a bar, and only take out a few minions and maybe a leiu to the tank can tank and take out the rest to make him fell super-powered and be more like a comic book hero.
So do you all think of this propose to help the tankers of CoH?
