  2. I recommend, taking a deep breath and seeing if you can fix the problem by changing your settings. On all video games on all platforms, the wrong settings will cause horrid results.

How are your graphic options set?

See, I view Level Shift working on the same principle: It's a buff that elevates your comparative to-hit/damage values without inherently raising your actual level. In that light, it's a buff. Since we get similar effects from ally buffs/debuffs without XP/INF loss, I'm of the viewpoint that this would fall under the same category.
I view it as working on the same principle as sidekicking/exemplaring rather than on buffing. If you're level 21 and you sidekick up to level 22 for a mission, you get level 21 rewards. Exemp down to level 2 for a mission and you get level 21 rewards. Except for the level of recipe drops. I'm talking xp/inf.

So I agree with Turg, for completely different reasons.

Nemesis is two things: #1 The Nemesis Army, a group of soldiers who follow Lord Nemesis, and the robots/automatons that Lord Nemesis builds.

Lord Nemesis is a master of deception, most of the story arcs where you try to fight him, you spend most of the time accomplishing goals for him because he has tricked you. As indicated by Aett and Others, there are times where you get to fight him directly (in theory) but since he always comes back it doesn't look like we ever get to be successful.

    Quote:
    This is all I know:

Nemesis starts the rikti invasion to preaper the world technology to fight back the shivas invasion.

Rikti are human evolve by Nemesis.

    Everything is a Nemesis Plot.
As explained the Rikti are human from an alternate universe. In their universe earth was invaded by aliens who mutated them. Lord Nemesis fooled them into attacking the prime earth, leading to the first and second rikti wars.

    Quote:
The new incarnate arc just tell you that Mender Silos is lord Nemesis without much explaining...(this piss me off because it fit with the secret letter you find in the oroboros arcs).
Mender Silos is an anagram for Lord Nemesis as demonstrated here:
    Mender Silos
    Lo Mender Sis
    Lor Mende Sis
    Lord Mene Sis
    Lord Ne me Sis

This has all along fueled speculation that the letter writer is a future, past, or alternate universe version of Lord Nemesis. I'm not sure that anything in the Incarnate arc solves the argument 100%.

    Quote:
So the Question is: Who is lord nemesis? And what clues have you find in the game to figure out this never ending Nemesis plot?
Most of what you learn about Lord Nemesis is intentionally confusing. He is usually described as the most cunning and strategic enemy in the game.

To expand on what others have said already:
He conquered the US for a short time with an army of machines and a bunch of bombs placed in important cities.

He is just a brain kept alive inside his armor, but has been stealing information and technology from Crey's Revenant Hero project. There was debate over this was because his original brain was getting too old and dying and he needed a new one, or because he was hoping for a new body.

He has attempted mind control/psionics as a way of getting a new body.

Mender Silos may or may not be "a" Lord Nemesis.

The Oroboros Letter writer may or may not be the same, or a different Lord Nemesis.

Lord Nemesis has on multiple occasions tricked people into attacking his own troops when it serves his purposes.

Lord Nemesis doesn't have a fully functioning portal of his own, but he at least has an unreliable one that lets him get to alternate universes. He does raid portal corp from time to time and he has access to the Shadow Shard, but he doesn't have access to Rikti Earth anymore.

Lots of Nemesis stories are found from contacts in Brickstown, Founders Follies, the Rikti Warzone, Shadow Shard, and Peregrine Island.

All of the above may be false due to Lord Nemesis planting fake information (IE anything above could just be a Nemesis Plot).

If you have other specific questions we can try to help.

Ah, but does your mother get overtime or at least paid for all of her work hours? And does her company pay for the phone? I don't get any of those.

only when perma dom, which costs a lot of infamy and will have to save to slot it.

I also have a dominator, but it's been shelved in favor of corruptors and brutes. I found corruptors cheapest to outfit and am using my corrs to fund my dom IOs even though my dom got to 50 before my corr.
Most of my doms are frankenslotted, not "built" for anything, just using the cheapest sets around to get the best total bonuses, with a few key good sets put in. I'm a bit addicted to chance to hold procs for instance. I have no permadoms, no one close to it, and no one with any defense higher than 18%. They are all pretty awesome and tremendously fun and more in demand by teams than my fire/shield brute for instance.

80-100 hours per week writing responses to government bid opportunities and only getting paid for 40 of those hours at a very very low rate. Also filling the roles of receptionist, contract negotiator, sales man, sales manager, and accountant. All while being told that I'm lazy and not working hard enough and that it is my job to find and recruit more people to take the load off but they have to be willing to work on commission only.

I feel the same way. It is slower than nin/ or kat/ and does less damage over time and uses more endurance. All in all inferior. Has some advantage for PvP with being more bursty, but in PvE, it is, not gimp but almost. Certainly there is no mathematical reason to choose it over nin. By the numbers it is flat-out inferior and the more inf you put into your build the farther it falls behind.

I have never heard of damage ruining or even effecting the -tohit. Nor the fear for that matter. Damage does allow a cowering enemy 1 attack per 5 seconds, but the fear continues for it's duration after that 1 attack.

    Shortened short version:

Go to atlas part typhoon base, turn them in for rare recipes at better rates than normal merits.
  17. I try to keep a few charges on the ally rez/heal and market teleport. Otherwise I go for Oroboros.
  18. If you don't like single-target focus then quite honestly I have to ask are you sure you want to play a stalker at all?

Your best bet will be Electric or Spines and of the two I recommend Electric over Spines. But even then all stalkers are more single-target focused than scrappers or brutes.

As for the secondary, your goal with dark armor is to ensure you live long enough to get the heal off. With half-way decent slotting you can heal to full off of two targets reliably. You want not only end reduction but you really, really want to get the endurance proc for theft of essence. It only costs two villain/hero merits if you have someone who can run them.

Some oppose it, but I do recommend picking up the self-rez, when it goes off it is a long-duration Mag 30 stun that will hit an AV through the Purple Triangles. I have found it worthwhile dying just to stun an AV long enough to get the team back up after a problem.

Opinion on the stun and fear auras varies. I like the fear because while the stun will only get minions, the fear will at least give every enemy an -acc penalty (though against AVs and GMs the penalty is very small). Also the stun causes enemies to stagger away, the fear causes them to stand still and cower, if they start to run, it will stop them.

Adding some defense (I recommend S/L) makes a huge difference. Mine is missing Murky Form which is one of the key defense toggles, does not have maneuvers, combat jumping, toughness or weave and I can hold my own against +1x6 spawns easily and depending on the enemy group sometimes +2/x8.

The real advantage to Musculature is not in the base %enhancement, but rather as Jibikao mentioned, it lets you reslot to add a proc into your attacks and still have maxed damage otherwise. Very handy.

    Quote:
Guessing what I'll actually do is one build with Spiritual and one with Musculature and see how they work out in actual play.
This is the smart thing to do anyway. you can have all of them, so no reason not to have at least two. All the emphasis on "which one" is silly.

I agree, that's why I haven't built for defense. I have exactly one character built for defense. Fire/shield brute. My dom with the highest defense has I think 18% to AoE by accident.

I build my doms for control. Enemies that are dead or can't attack, can't hurt you. But perma dom is overkill for most scenarios. Makes things easier, but isn't required.

Perma hold/sleep/confuse is an easier path to mex protection than domination. I have 5 doms, none with anything close to perma dom. Three don't even have haste. Never have problems with it. Granted one being plant is kinda cheating =)

  23. There are a couple limits to using follow that make it frustrating from time to time:

If you are hovering or flying, you will rarely go all the way into melee range.

Also if the enemy is walking away slowly, you will follow slowly in a move-stop-move-stop jerky motion follow that never gets you inside melee range.
  24. I have chance to knockdown in my caltrops. The larger area and the fact that multiple spawns sometimes walk into it were my reason, but throw spines is up pretty fast, that's not a bad call.
  25. For best results post your own build first. In general, slot Kinetic combat in all your attacks and reactive armor in all your defenses. Be sure not to skip the steadfast protection 3% defense IO.

If you need more inf, remember you can get all the expensive stuff fast and easy with hero/villain merits.
