Alpha slot: Enhancements and craft questions

I checked Paragon wiki and also the info on the GR site but I still got my doubts...

Can I build different enhancements? Lets say I start building a common musculature. Im not sure if I can upgrade it into an uncommon spiritual, for example?

Do I lose the Incarnate shards or componets or can I uncraft them into shards again to craft the wanted Incarnate component?

Thank you in advance

You cannot take apart and recombine components. Once they are made they are made like any other IO. You can however construct more than one and swap them out. You could make a Spiritual and make a Musculature and swap them back and forth. There is a five minute cooldown timer on swapping.

The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.

If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-

So I have to choose better before try and create one common with, lets say 16 shards.
But I can create different enhs and choose the one I want to slot and switch them out, right?
Thank you.

As far as the first two tiers work - the common bonus needs to be unlocked in order to craft the uncommon bonus. So your example of crafting the common Musculature then upgrading to an uncommon Spiritual isn't possible, you'd need the common Spiritual instead.

However, as mentioned you can craft multiple bonuses - even from different pools - and swap between them on the fly. This can be done wherever you are - but is subject to not only the 5-minute cooldown mentioned, but also a much smaller cooldown of a few seconds from being in combat or firing your last power.

Lastly, bear in mind that when you create the uncommon bonus, it uses the common bonus to do so. So if, for instance, you craft the Core Spiritual bonus and then want the Radial Spiritual bonus as well, you'll need to recreate the common bonus to do so.

How do you get to the rare level. I have a common and uncommon muscularture but the recepies for the rare aren't showing up. Do we need create both uncommons (is that even possible) before crafting rare for that tree, is there something else we must do for the rare unlocks (another series of missions) or is that not implemented yet?

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

So every enhancement need the common to upgrade to uncommon then?
Thanks for the information.

Here's what the Wiki says:

Quote:
Characters can switch between Alpha Slot Abilities by simply equipping a new ability. The old ability is not lost, but simply switched out. There is a 5 minute cool down between equips. Also, equipping an ability is prohibited by being in combat and may require additional cool down time or leaving the mission to equip.

Higher-tier abilities consume a lower tier ability when crafted. Characters can have several higher-tiered abilities, but if they're in the same 'tree', then they'll have to re-craft the lower tiered ability again for each higher-tiered ability they want to have.
Does it need to be made more clear?

Are you the player behind Paragon Wiki? I spend most of my time there checking things out, I must say I freakin love the site.

He's been that way ever since he ate old man Thompson's brains. He's always complaining to us to "get off his lawn!" even though it's all dead...

Normally, I have reason to be.

But in this case it was a serious question. Does the Wiki article need to make it more clear? Cause I'd be happy to amend it if it needs to be. It's a new-ish article and could stand to be polished.

Its very clear, I guess I was a bit confused. Didnt knew I need to upgrade them from common, to uncommon... etc.
I thought I could just craft the uncommon.
Also Im a bit lazy to read all the stuff and english not my language.
I just had some doubts.

(shrug) You asked who the guy behind ParagonWiki was and I told you. I know he plays on Infinity (having seen him there). I don't know what other servers he may play on.

Actually yes, i read most of the stuff on the wiki regarding how the crafting and activating (slotting) your A-IO and i never saw that due to being important information buried at the bottom of the article and then dug through about 50 posts here on the forums looking for some sort of guide or explaination as to what happened to my common Alpha enhancement when i created an uncommon one

According to his user page on Paragonwiki/Ouroportal, he plays on both Infinity and Virtue.
