    Elec3 or Ice3

So I have never leveled a Blaster to 50. I have an Elec3 and an Ice3 stuck at 37 and 39. I want to take one to 50+before D-Day. Wondering which one might give me more bang for the buck endgame. Thoughts? Tired of do and gloom. Gonna play the game out.
  2. Outstanding! I am in for a LOTG +recharge too. @Northman
    Cheers!
  3. So many plans, so many ideas, so little time.....
  4. Well, I am sticking around. I will be trolling around looking for a new place to call home though. My first toon was a very squishy Fire/Fire blaster in beta.

    I feel kinda squishy now...
  5. Ok, after the shock has worn off, where do we go from here?

I think I will likely keep playing my many alts until D-Day on November 30.

It's just too good a game to walk away even though I am stunned, shocked, raged
at this ridiculous, backhanded sudden decision.

    What about you all.....?

Where is that in Kings Row?

Plant/ plays best from range - cones & range attacks. /NA plays (or seems to play) best in melee from what I've seen of it. I'm hoping for great things with my fire/na...
    Fire/NA = Synergy. Plant/NA = Theme
    Theme>Synergy every time IMO
  8. Plant/Nature/Stone all the way.
  9. Thanks for the feedback. Gonna roll a Staff/Dark. How well do Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom work going in and out of Hide?
  10. Usually when a new power set comes out DFB runs are hilarious team set ups. I remember being on one with 7 staff toons. Last night I saw a DFB call out specifically ask for NO Nature Affinity Toons. Gets crowded in the sewers with all those blooms.....

    Outstanding! Thanks for the link.
  12. With two new staff toons on the go (Staff/Elec Brute and Staff/Nin Stalker) I was wondering if anyone has heard of any new staff models are coming in I24? I can't seem to find any with the search tool. Thx
  13. Thinking of rolling up a Staff/ Dark Armor Stalker. I love my Kat/Dark Scrapper. Just wondering how good DA is on Stalkers?
  14. Sorry, Thunder Clap still has my vote for best sounding power in the game. Awesome with the speakers and sub woofer turned way up. Great for attracting Wife-Aggro lol.

In particular, Illusion's key power is Phantom Army. Because they can't be buffed, you can only make them better with Defense and Resistance Debuffs. Plus, getting a Recharge buff makes it easier to get them perma. Radiation has a 30% Recharge from Accelerate Metabolism, plus a Defense Debuff in Radiation Infection and a Resistance Debuff in Enervating Field. Time has a 50% Recharge buff in Chrono Shift, and a Resistance and Defense debuff in Slowed Response. Both sets add an AoE Slow to help with Illusion's lack of AoE Control.

While all secondaries work well with Illusion, and all primaries work well with both Rad and Time, Ill/Rad and Ill/Time have strong synergy.

If you want the ultimate AoE Control character, Earth/Trick Arrow is huge. It has two of:

    Single Target Immob
    Single Target Hold
    AoE Hold
    AoE Slow
    AoE Knockdown
    AoE Sleep

Only Earth's AoE Sleep is PB AoE; all of the other powers are ranged. Of the three remaining powers in Earth, Stalagmites+Stone Cages is another Ranged AoE combo, plus Animate Stone is a very sturdy aggro magnet. TA's remaining three powers are debuffs.

Earth/Trick Arrow is the one combo that could arguably be said to have too much control.
Can Chrono Shift be made permanent?

Even Dual Pistols. I'm not a big loather of redraw, frankly I don't mind redraw at all...but without actually holding the pistols while you kick, it kind of ruins any conceptual synergy the combo would have...I mean, the whole reason you're kicking is because your hands are too busy shooting to punch people.

But I think I'll wait for a Thrown Weapon blasting set before I delve into this new secondary. I've had the perfect character for it for a long time now and thinking about rerolling (not side-rolling) him from Spines/Dark stalker to thrown/martial blaster. I'm definitely rerolling his alternate dark/thorns dom build into dark/martial dom...that combo is just too perfect a fit.
Oooh! Dark/MC Dom. Never thought of that combo

I am thinking the Flame Mastery Ancillary. Bonfire with the KB/KD proc should be pretty good for mitigation too.

    Water/Fire

Has anyone tried this combo? It looks like it could be an AOE beast if you survive long enough.

What is a patrol map? Never really done much in the way of AE or farming.

It relies very heavily upon its heal keeping it standing. That said, getting it to 32.5% defense v positions makes it fairly tough.

    EDIT:

Sorry OP, I realise I didn't really solve your issue much!
What primary then with /Fire did you solo ITF? SS?
  21. So I am thinking of rolling up an AR/Dev Blaster with the changes coming to blasters. I understand Caltrops is a great place for procs. What options are there that work well?

Is that a human form or tri-form Warshade? Mine is stuck at 24 too lol.

    Best

Haven't played Defenders in years. Thinking of trying one again. Play 90% Solo.
How about a D3 Defender? Viable or not? What else could be paired with Dark primary?
    Love Dark...

    Tanks

Also, SD/MA has three primary points of synergy.

    1) Storm kick is a massive def to all buff. Def to ALL. Since shield is positionals, that covers everything except non-positional attacks. How many of those are there in the game? The buff is very applicable into the incarnate levels, as well. Its real value is not the size of the buff, its in the fact that it has NO HOLES.

    2) Mitigation is all knockdown. Dragontail and shield charge synergize beautifully. Many/most of the iFactions to date are susceptible to knock. Knockdown works like a charm against them. (That's counterbalanced by outlevelling things to make them suffer kb, but just turn it up a notch to compensate.)

    3) Eagle Claw grants a nice +damage buff, which stacks beautifully with AAO. Eagle Claw/Shield Charge/Dragon Tail in a big crowd is pretty.

In addition, SD on a tank has the second best aggro-holding aura in the game (an icer beats you, barely), and OWTS makes you an Invuln tanker for two minutes at a time.

SD/MA is a very, VERY good combo. YMMV
I concur. Just unlocked the Alpha Slot on my lvl 50 SD/MA Tank. Ran to 50 mostly solo. One of the smoothest runs to 50 I have ever done. Getting to lvl 26 for Shield Charge was cake. Lvl 1 to 20 is a joke these days anyway. I spam Storm Kick with the ATO proc in it. Incredibly strong toon and pretty decent damage for a tank with AAO.
