  1. Well I wasn't going to go that far but it is reasonable to assume that forever lasts more than a year (actually not even a year since Freedom launch right?). They still used the term "forever" of their own accord and I can't actually remember any other company using it in advertising before, though I assume some have and may have been sued for it.
  2. City of Heroes Freedom was advertised as "Free to Play. Forever." In fact it still is on the CoH website. Doesn't that constitute fraud on NCSoft's part since they are not in fact providing free to play forever (not even close to it)?
  3. I've been taking screenshots of all my favorite character's costume's, ID pages and Powersets (on the manage screen). Too many memories to let them all go at once like this.

    Sign it

Signed it. After playing since beta I just can't let this game go so easiliy.
  5. I'd still like to see it. There have been so many times I wish I could change a secondary powerset to a newer one that matches the primary better, or a newer primary that matches the character concept better, and keep my character intact without deleting and starting over that I can't help but wish for it.
  6. Got the dark matter aura tonight! It's fantastic! It managed breathe new life into a few of my characters that had grown a little stale and its something I was hoping they would create for the game. It looks like one of those Jack Kirby auras with all the different sizes spheres generating from the character and even looks okay dark and bright.
  7. is the dark matter aura account wide or specific to one character?
  8. What if they just added some new sets that gave you defense at 5 instead of 6 enhancements? That way you could get away with less slots and still have increased defense. Or maybe more uniques that add 3% defense to all. Both would work without adding slots.

    Arm wings

I'd really like to see arm wings included in the costume creator. There are quite a few heroes with arm mounted wings or glide-suits. Falcon, Darkhawk, Banshee, Stingray, Black Bolt, Sauron, Gargoyle, Skyhawk, Dinah Soar, Blackwing, Beak, Deathbird, Batwing, Henry Hawk, The Nhu'Ghari, The Vulture and even spidey had web pits in some versions. I can't seem to think of any DC characters off the top of my head besides Man-bat but I am sure there must be more. Arm wings are a staple of comics and something I'd really like to see.
  10. I'd like to see a bladed staff, scyth, magic hammer and tech axe added. Anyone have any other suggestions for this set?

    Inv/EM

I have a level 40 Inv/EM tanker and I am starting to plan his level 50 IO sets to increase his survivability. Here is what I have so far. I'd appreciate any advice on improving it:

  12. I have a number of Praetoria starting characters I made before Freedom and now I'd like to move them to hero or villain side but I can't find a way to do so with levelling them up to 20 first. Is there a mechanism to make the moral choice and head to the main dimension prior to 20?

I managed to get one of my Praetorian characters down into the underground where the First Ward entrance was but you can't get to Paragon without changing your moral status first and there is also no "death from below" trials accessible for Praetorian starting characters. If there is a way to get to Paragon early please post it. Its lonely in Praetoria these days.

    Auras

I'd like to see the Time Crawl graphic as an aura. Also I'd like to see an aura where instead of things coming out of or leaving your character's body, instead go toward it or be sucked into it. A sort of black hole effect.

Two things that bug me about auras:
    1) On the unlockable ones at level 30 there isn't a body & eyes option.
    2) I'd like to see dark aura options just like we have bright and dark power shadings. If I choose black all I get is a nearly transparent. Could options be added for bright and dark auras?
  14. MindGame1

    Rocket Boards?

What about jump powers? In Infamous 2 they had ice conduits that would have a column of ice shoot up underneath them to launch them in the air like a super jump. This same mechanism could be used for other types of super jump like earth, water, fire etc.
  15. MindGame1

    Rocket Boards?

Most of my current ice characters use the prestige power slide combined with beast run to get around (I used to use Ninja Run but the flip was very un-ice-like). I would be happy if I could change the color of the power slide and it has a more gradual up arc followed by a sharper downward arc on the jump portion. Actually it might be cooler if it were more like steam jump only once you started to go down you couldn't go up again until you touched the ground like in super jump.
  16. MindGame1

    Rocket Boards?

I say go for the low-hanging fruit. If you can offer a rocket board power with customizable platforms, or a generous choice of them, do that. I would like to have more than just tech boards though. I'd like to see magic carpet and cloud and earth platform, etc.

If you are just offering a rocketboard only without options then ice slide would be a much cooler way to go. Whatever you do for an ice slide power maybe something you can do for other options like earth, water, fire, metal, as well.

    Short answer;

    No

Get over yourself. I 'need' lots of things in game, mostly to do with the CC and power choices. But I also wouldn't expect the Devs to cow-tow to them JUST because I said 'I need them'.
(Exception being things that should be in game and have been asked for for years, by everyone [Backpacks])
YES! These are needed as an apples to apples comparison to a competitor's product in the market place. Don't even get me started on temp shrink and grow powers!
  18. MindGame1

    Rocket Boards?

Let's see heroes/villains with cold or ice powers are: Iceman, Killer Frost, Ice, Ice Maiden, Iceberg, Blizzard, Frozone, Captain Cold, Mr. Freeze, Frost, Sub-Zero, Icicle, Nature Boy, Dr. Frost, Winter, Ymir, Storm, Idie Oknokwo, Weather Wizard, Ice Mistral, Polar Boy, Cold Spell, Frostbite, Bitter Frost, Bizzaro and Superman.

Not all of them used ice slides but some did other than Iceman.

Don't need Swinging cuz it looks stupid when there's nothing to swing from as anyone that played that other game knows so I hope the devs maintain the standards of quality and resist the urge to add that power.

Ice and Earth Slide are nothing more than Hoverboard with a different object to stand on and since we are already getting HoverBoard all we need is a selection of platforms to choose from so it can be customized.
I need them all. I don't care how they get it done I just want it done. Costume pieces or path aura work for me. Swinging is cool and spiderman was always swinging above the buildings in those famous Steve Ditko panels. In a world where super powers work the swinging point of attachment is a minor point.

Doesn't Killer Frost used ice slides? What about Blizzard? If Frozone can get away with it in a movie it can't be copyrighted or trademarked or whatever right?
  21. I'd like to see the following travel powers added.

    1) Tunnelling
    2) Swinging
    3) Rocket boot jump
    4) Ice & Earth Slide
    5) Platform Flight (board, disc, magic carpet, boulder etc)
    6) Tornado Flight

I'd also like to see flaming wings, fixed wings (non-moving) and jetpacks.

Most of these are available in other games so it doesn't seem like I am asking for anything unreasonable and they would certainly enhance character themes which is what many of the non-min/maxers enjoy about a super hero game.

Any change to player behavior since the changes to the LFG system? I still haven't had any luck with LFG for trials.
  23. I didn't think bartenders bought enhancements, salvage and recipes though. That is my major complaint with Pocket D is you have to leave the zone to sell drops. My only major concern with RWZ is when there is a mothership raid, otherwise its great for a staging area. I have actually been to more trials on servers that use RWZ than I have that use PD. The highest population servers tend to use PD, I think, but many of the other servers use RWZ.

    Fastest 1-20

Necro is all melee so make sure to stay close and use your aoe heal. It was really easy to get all the way to 50 with thugs/dark.
