Nevermind, I'll make my own.

You want to see your character, turn off whatever Stealth power you have on. I like oogling my female characters but not when I'm fighting, then I barely notice them. Outside of the mission or at the market I'll turn Stealth off. Easy to do and doesn't require developer time. -
Egads... I don't measure how effective an attack is in DPS or any other damage measurement, but how much fun I'm having with it. And I have lots of fun with Snipe attacks. The same goes for nukes. When I found out that Thunderous Blast is ranged, unlike Nova and Inferno, I got all school-girl giddylike.
I would like a knockdown IO proc for those Snipe attacks that don't have a KD/KB component, though; namely Zapp since elec/elec recently has become my favorite blaster sets. -
Quote:You must be playing with different Snipes than I do.More specifically, snipes take far too long to deal far too little damage (REALLY crappy DPA, in other words) making them a poor use of Aim and/or Build Up. They have the advantage of range, but to take advantage of that means to fire at a range from which you can't follow up, and their unbuffed damage is not all that remarkable. There really are very few situations where using a snipe is at all worth it (mostly when Aim and Build Up haven't recharged or if you have neither), and very few of them use it for damage.
They have awesome damage, you can get within regular range and start the fight with a snipe, take down annoying opponents (i.e., sorcerers) in one shot or require minimal followup to finish (dang sappers being resistant).
I especially love the knockdown from AR's snipe. -
Quote:Yes.. better would be: "They need to learn how to socialize.".If I said: "They need to learn how to play," would I be out of line?

I've often wondered why some people/characters seem to get more attention than my female characters. Maybe mine look more like a character created by a guy: Barbie-doll look (I prefer blondes, okay?) but chest slider is NOT all the way to the right (just 2/3rds); while other people's characters and clothing styles might indicate a better chance there's an actual female player behind the character?
Of course, maybe I should count my blessings that I'm not bothered as much as others by the "weirdos". -
Here's a few from Reaper's Chronoscope line of figures (covers many genres that are not fantasy):

anime girl with big gun

dual pistol

another dual pistol

female "catgirl" with whip

flying guy in armor (or a robot)

Anyway, you get the idea. Enter "Chronoscope" into their Figure Finder page to see more.
Another line of figures is Superfigs. Reaper has better quality, but not as many superheroes but having seen both (I own a game store that sells both) either will work well. (I got about 30 superhero miniatures of my own, too.).

If you don't mind smaller figures, there's many 25mm-28mm (about 1" tall) pewter superhero miniatures (<--- search on that) out there. Several people can be found online, or maybe locally if you check your FLGS (Friendly Local Game Store), that can paint or slightly remodel (i.e., change out weapons) them for you. And that will cost a lot less than the prices some of you are willing to part with. Many figures are about $4 to $6 unpainted; approximate price for custom paint jobs can run from 2x to 4x the cost of the figure (and probably more).

It took me 50 years to get to MY first 50.

I don't have any ideas yet, but I like the idea of staying with the name Conan had picked: The Flaming C.
Is there any place in the CoX world that works as an approximate backdrop similar to Conan's set on the show?
Most of these costumes don't seem to have a humorous bent. Of course, just the idea might be enough, but humor needs to be involved.
I'm not a change-screenshot guru, but an idea I had was for Conan wearing a kilt and surrounded by several beauties, which include both men and women, staring at him like adoring fans. A couple of them, one man and one woman, would be lieing or kneeling at his feet looking up (his skirt) with both having a thought bubble of "mmmmm".
I'll give the costume idea some thought, though; but being sick means I'll probably be sleeping more than anything else. *cough cough* -
That may be your perception, but it isn't mine. If it's in the AE building, it's a virtual "non-real" simulation of a mission or story arc no matter how closely it fits canon.

That does look neat.
But the trees still have leaves on them... -
I agree. It was never a bother to me to retype my password and I live alone so the extra security wasn't necessary in my case.

Quote:Not that it helps much, but more anecdotal evidence:That's exactly how my encounter went. My Fire x 3 Blaster is a killing machine, so I simply burned Trapdoor down. Who needs lava, I *am* lava! My AR/Dev Blaster, on the other hand, got spanked, hard, and repeatedly. And not in the fun way. I had to get help on her mission. My Energy/Energy Blaster simply pulled him into the hallway and batted him around like a cat smacking a mouse. My Brute just beat him to death.
elec/elec/elec blaster.. not too difficult,
energy/energy/force blaster .. ditto,
AR/dev/weapon mastery blaster .. ditto,
2 MMs, robot/traps, merc/traps .. really easy;
bifurcation spawn rate wasn't fast, and each time it came up I defeated the spectre within a couple of seconds,
all were at -1 difficulty except for the 3x elec which was at 0 (and is the only one with any purple IOs: a stun set at the time). They all have numerous IO sets and nary a single SO among them.
I never pulled him out of the room but did knock him into the lava almost every time. It's not my fault he's too stupid to get out quickly.
Dunno what all the hubbub is about. -

I feel the same. The arcs that fit the game world and moved out into the game world I'd play (see my previous comment about that).
-
I agree, up to a point. Someone, probably some Dev, should move some arcs into the "real world" of CoX. Set up new contacts (maybe ones that move a little, or do emotes, like talking on the cell phone... don't care for the "wooden Indian" style of standing still ... but I digress) for that purpose. Perhaps add one new contact per issue with 1-3 arcs for that contact.

Meh... more phat lewt for a game that didn't need it.
I'd like more content for my one or two 50s I'd play if it was available but this isn't it, so far.
