Quote:That's possible iirc there are two different debit card types for VISA cards. Delta definitely works - Visa Electron is relatively little used and appears to have problems with several on-line systems as some systems are unable to check for the availability of funds which is required for Electron but not Delta.Apparently you are talking about a different card from what I know of.
My bank issues Debit Cards with the Visa logo.
My game account has been paid for using that card since the game was released.
Other possibilities are forgetting to include the leading zeroes and incorrectly including the spaces separating the number groups.
Its also possible that if your card is not a UK or US bank issued card the verification systems are rejecting it - If that is the case you may be better linking your card to a paypal account and pay using that. -
Yep,
generally spawning him is easy enough but spotting where he has spawned is the problem. The main problem with finding him is that he spawns in the air and frequently outside of perception range so hunting him out in 3d space is far from easy. -
Quote:Wouldn't them switching Minds and bodies mean they are back with WW mind in WW body and Posi's mind in Posi's body - switching one or the other otoh ....I thought that the Freaky Friday event involved War Witch and Positron switching minds/bodies!!
Stupid Freakshow have to ruin everything...
Oh and Zwil - you do realise there is no such a time as 12:00 AM - its either 12:00 Noon or 12:00 Midnight and if its midnight its still ambiguous as to whether it is Thurs/Fri or Fri/Sat. 24 hour clock would be better for this
00:00 - 12 midnight Thurs/Fri
12:00 - 12 noon Fri
24:00 - 12 midnight Fri/Sat
Having said that - Yay free suff -
In general I'd stay away from wireless mice/keyboards for gaming
They tend to have longer response times than wired versions - how much so will vary and also finding your mouse or keyboard battery failing at the wrong time can make a severe crimp in your game - not to mention your character's health. -
another option would be a seperate security cage something like this.
Basically is fixes to the desk, wall, whatever and your PC is locked into it. -
the problem here is that the redside and bluside arcs from Ramiel are seperate arcs and only accessible to that side. When you switch sides the arcs remain active (thought that was fixed though so incomplete arcs were abandoned) but inaccessible.
So he will need to switch back to redside in order to complete the arc. He can still as others have said enable his Alpha slot in other ways though. -
On this mission you get clues as to which portal you should use in each of the three portal rooms.
First clue refers to the first set of portals - go throught the one with the colour of anguish
Second clue refers to the second set - go through the one not the colour of angish (and not the portal you enterred via)
The third clue tells you to go through the portal with the markers in front of it in a different arrangement from the others.
In each case if you go through the wrong one you will be transported to the ghost room - if you get there you can either fight them - very dangerous - expect to die but it is possible or just run for the portal in the back of the cave - you shouldn't take a huge amount of damage unless you stop to fight. This will transport you back to the beginning and you will need to start again from the first set of portals. -
Looks like the Telegraph has found some copies of New Scientist from 30 years ago. I last came across anything about this in the early 80s. Photocopiers at that time would copy notes but would deliberately get the colours wrong.

On chip GPU and ultramode settings but only 4Gb of system RAM. I suspect you may need to lower your settings.

Interesting
I'm wondering if that may have been the same thing that caused Rommy to Rez an extra time on an ITF a couple of months back. Was sure he went back to full health on all his rezzes but its possible that the Nictus heals may have done the rest. -
Quote:As I said your best defence is the use of layered defences.
In practice, AV software is your last line of defense... and is by far the weakest and least likely to work.
If you ignore any one and get infected as a result then you only have yourself to blame.
AV software is cheap - in many cases free and it catches a large amount of malware out in the wild - there is no good excuse for ignoring it. -
Quote:Keeping your system fully patched is the best AV <,<
Using a tool like Secunia PSI that can scan your system and point out (with fairly good accuracy) what software is out of date is a wonderful way to shore up your system's security. AV software is generally pretty aweful... it can only do crap once your system is already being penetrated... better to simply not be penetrated in the first place than depend entirely on the gamble that AV software will know about all threats.
Most AV suites these days include active protection to detect the threat *Before* it can infect your system.
I agree that keeping your system fully patched is a good idea but remember it takes time for these security problems to be detected, identified fixed and the patches tested and distributed and during this period your system is vulnerable.
The time it takes to roll out new virus (or other threat) signatures is *much* shorter and so the vulnerability is lower.
Also all the patching will do nothing for someone installing the software believing it is valid and so bypassing all the security - this could be as a result of sticking a disk in a drive, a USB stick or just connecting to an infected website.
The best AV is knowing what you are putting on your system and making sure no-one else can access it - that will work even with a completely unpatched system.
Having said that everyone makes mistakes.
So we use firewalls to restrict access.
We patch software to close exploits.
We use AV and similar other antimalware systems to block threats that get past everything else and to detect and remove anything that has managed to infect the system during the zero hour vulnerability window.
Your best option for security is a combination of defenses - assuming you don't want to lock it down to the extent of being unusable.
Personally as far as AV is concerned I like Kaspersky - I switched to them some years ago from Norton - at the time they were the best rated engine.
AVG and MSSE were the next two at that time and are both still highly regarded.
As things stand neither of Symantecs offerings (Norton and McAfee) have any hope of being allowed back anywhere near any system I build or buy in the forseeable future. I consider their protection to be vastly inferior and their resource usage to be excessive. -
If you are looking at virtualising your builds then I'd probably go with Win7 Pro rather than Home Premium - of course if that spreadsheet contains keys for Ultimate that will do as well although I don't see any need to go above Pro on a home system.

Ah that's a *lot* further off than I was envisioning.
Its a long time since I used a logitech mouse and I did find the driver clashed with my sound card giving regular sound loops leading to mapservers but certainly nothing like the problem you are describing.
A quick check on Google shows a number of problems with Logitech's drivers dates ranging from 2003 up to late last year - especially Mouseware in conjunction with OpenGL applications
It may be worth trying updating the mouse drivers or even removing them and letting Windows use the default driver. I'd also try switching it to a different USB port if its a USB mouse.
I presume you aren't seeing any similar problems outside the game. -
I can understand the edges of the targetting box being closer to the edge of the screen as you get nearer the target - think of your view as a cone with the apex at your character - the edges of that map to the edges of your screen - hence objects appear larger when closer.
This doesn't explain why you cannot click within the targetting box but only on its boundary unless there is some other object closer whose targetting box is obscuring the box for your intended target.
A thought though - do you use any targetting bots/macros in other games or is there anything similar built into the Razer mouse's software?
I believe some of their range will allow you to set up multiple gaming profiles and it might be that you have one set up which is optimised for certain FPSs -
Quote:As I said does running full screen help?---System information gathered by CoH Helper version 0.2.0.2---
Registry Information for Current User
Resolution: 1920x1018
3D Resolution: 1920x1018 (Not using renderscale)
Full Screen: No
Maximized: Yes
Is it always to the left that you need to click?
Neither should matter but I'd prefer to rule them out. -
Do things improve if you disable Ambient Occlusion - nothing else really jumping out at me at the moment.
-
Would definitely want to get along this year as long as I'm not away on the dates.
Could bring the net top if necessary (not really powerful enough but just about usable) would need a monitor though. -
Are you running the game full screen or windowed?
If windowed can you reproduce it when full screen and is your game resolution the same as your desktop resolution?
I'm wondering if there may be some confusion between where your mouse driver thinks the screen boundaries are and where your grahics driver thinks.
If its a problem in the game code I'd expect to see others finding this as well.
I doubt its the graphics drivers for much the same reason.
I'm not going to completely rule either out though.
Are you using the default Microsoft drivers for your mouse or some that came with the mouse?
You know the drill for system details. -
Quote:If you plan on taking the pets along and want the safe way then pulling the mobs to them will be quickest - they have enough damage to wipe out any individual group taking minimal damage and enough healing to recover from any they do take. The only time they are at risk is if they charge headlong into multiple groups and get overwhelmed especially as they will tend to scatter under those circumstances.I think the single best piece of advice I can give you for soloing this is to let the heroes come along to help you - and then, after the first mob, click on them and see how they're doing. Try waiting a bit to let them regen. It will be annoying, but it's far more likely that they will survive to help if you start each group with them having a full bar of hp.
-
Definitely possible solo including accepting no help - I actually died a lot less having refused help as I didn't charge headlong into the mobs. Admittedly this was on a dominator with a mix of tier 3/4 incarnate abilities but with minimal defense and no perma dom she is far from an IO'd out build.
I would believe that with care someone without any incarnate slotting running on SOs could do this although it would require a lot of care especially if no help was accepted -
I suspect the big problem with SG renames is that whilst a SG is createded by one person who selects the name (and everything else) the leadership of that SG can change - and do so without the express permission of its creator. This combined with the fact that many other players than just the current owner of the SG are affected by its name being changed begs the question as to who should really have the right to make such a change - the current superleader, the original creator or the entirety of the SG rosta and with this comes the corollary of who should foot the bill for any such chargeable change. I can see the arguments for the original creator having the right to make such a change and if they are no longer with the SG then presumably the SG leader, however the leadership can change and indeed to someone that no-one else in the SG wants as leader - in which case them changing the name could be considerred griefing if done against the majoriy of the SGs wishes.
Now if the issues of who becomes SG leader following a demotion due to inactivity could be addressed satisfactoraly then I could agree with the idea that the SG leader could change the name. -
Quote:Yep, I always check in. If I had more time I would start spreadsheeting out which ones work and which ones don't. For instance the Ray Cooling one worked, despite being a badge arc. At this point I just put it down to the luck of the draw. It would be nice if there was a simple way to know, but there does not seem to be one so I will just keep at them. I am trying to get the whole set eventually, so I can always double back if I have to, but I would rather go through new content when I can.
I'm pretty sure the You have flashbacked to x number of mishes awards when the final mish completes even for badge arcs but the challenge badges don't award until the TF is called in and don't work for badge arcs and a few others.
