Those were old versions I did for a previous issue that was not mended. If you need newer ones I can get those aswell.
On chip GPU and ultramode settings but only 4Gb of system RAM. I suspect you may need to lower your settings.
Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant
Yep, lower settings and make sure your system is not trying to use the "integrated graphics" on the CPU instead of the graphics card.
Also, clean out the dust as best you can, canned air or a blast from an air compressor into the vents works well enough.
Laptops are notorious for overheating the harder you push the system. Even heat from a different part can cause a nearby one to overheat and fail.

Edit: Based on the description of the problem, I would look at heat being the issue first. What were you doing when you were playing Domino33? What zone, powersets etc were you using?

You are aware that the A6 APU is a gpu and cpu combo. It doesn't have a discrete GPU.

Yes, I know what a 6520G is. Its the unit on the A6 APU

SS/WP Brute,
Mostly happens in DA/iTrials, however its common to happen in the D aswell.

Can we get a verification that this isn't a heat issue?

While I normally deal with the nVidia versions of these laptops, the dv series is known for temperature issues under pressure. Especially the multimedia series. While I do agree with the two software monitoring links, I would like to add that the following two gadgets are great for on the fly (WinKey+D) temp/load checking:
All CPU Meter and GPU Meter from Addgadget.com
I find them to be more accurate (timely manner wise) than the others when going for a quick check. You can even see when your CPU/GPU are throttling up/down! Well that and a million other things about the hardware.
NeWay, if you're using a laptop cooler like I have to with my dv series, then make sure it's actually running. The USB cable on mine (it's a y-cable) tends to shift and cut power to it, but because my system fan is set to Full On, then I can't hear when it shuts off.
I dont' have a link, but there was a recall somewhere between 2009-2011 relating to the batteries. I forget the details, but check it out when you can. You can actually look up your exact build on HP's website.
There's a chance that it might be a driver stability issue considering it's an ATI card, but I'll leave that for the More-techy than I. That and I'm aiming more at the overheating as well. Try those gadgets and take note what the cold-boot-to-idle temps are as well as the "I just logged into the game and I'm sitting idle in atlas" temps. I'll tell you right now that the chip's probably overheating if the GPU sits at or above 60C ingame. The nVidia problems sometimes involved the actual on-chip solder reliquifying, thus the eventual blue screens and psychadelic trips.
Other Thoughs:
You might wanna consider upgrading to Win7 Pro as it's usually less picky. Well, I'm generally not a fan of "Home" or limited functionality OS versions anyway, but it's a thought.
Just for the sake of optimization you might wanna up your swap file to the windows recomended amount as the game Loves to use upto 2Gb of physical/virtual memory. If you have the dough/desire, then upping that to 6-8Gb physical memory wouldn't hurt (actually it'd probably love it) assuming that's a newer model and not a maxed out older system.

As for the side chatter; behave, write your replies in notepad and cool down before posting said reply, and "Can't we all just get along?" ;-p
My video card keeps crashing upon login now from time to time. It also crashes randomly while playing. Not really sure what to do, I checked my drivers and they all seem to be up to date.
