  1. Wow. It's like watching a wreck...I feel disgusted for reading, but I couldn't browse away.

Now I understand better about the whole "LGTF is a better farm for shards" thread he had going a couple months back.
  2. Thanks Snow.

I was searching using too broad of a search term (day job accolades) and should have narrowed it down a bit (Crey Scientist). Using a narrow search term, I found the threads you listed with no issue.

    Thanks again!
  3. Tried searching for an answer, but couldn't find one, so here goes:

If I earned a villain side day job (Crey Test Subject), switched over to being a hero, and then earned Professor, would it automatically give me Whistleblower? Or is that only obtainable if I am still a villain?

I suspect it wouldn't matter which side I was on, but I want to make sure before I switch back to hero. (Yes, I know I can always switch back, but I'm trying to do everything villainside all at once, instead of making multiple trips.)

LOL, nevermind. Suppose I just search Paragon Wiki first for answers.

"This badge is only awarded to characters of the villain or rogue alignments. Although credit for this badge may be earned by heroes or vigilantes, the badge will not be awarded to a character until they change alignment. "

Can you imagine him having to get med-ported everytime he needs to? (Again, BaB?)
  5. My Necro/Dark mastermind had no problems. Spamming Twilight Grasp is a great way to nullify high regen rates.

Quite possibly. However, they must use the name Cat-apult.

And for those that prefer dogs over cats, there's the Poodle Gun...

Triple Pistols, which means that the Extra Body Parts costume pack will be in high demand.

Also, Blasters and Corrupters will be getting Cat Crossbows:

  8. An eyewitness to the super bunnies had this to say:

Tim: That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on! Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer! He's got huge, sharp... er... He can leap about. Look at the bones!

    LAMDA bites

Eh, my ice/ice blaster has no issues in Lambda. Died once, due to my thinking that I could nuke a group solo...learned pretty quickly that I couldn't.

Of course, I ran a ton of BAFs before I ran Lambda, and I used some of my threads from there to unlock and slot both my Lore and Destiny slots. This way, I was already 50+3 when I ran my Lambda. Is it slower to unlock the Interface and Destiny slots this way? Yes, but still effective.
  10. The Invader badge is the flipside of the Task Force Commander badge. If you were originally a hero and got the TF Commander badge, then you were awarded the Invader badge when you switched. (All accolades gained on one side automatically reward on the other side when you switch.)

If you were never a hero, then there is another issue. It should reward to villains or rogues, so, just to be safe, verify two things:

    1. Make sure that you indeed have all 9 mayhem exploration badges. List is here: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Invader_Badge
    2. Make sure that the Invader badge wasn't awarded by checking your Accolades.

If you have all 9 but not the accolade, I'd send a petition. A GM can verify whether you have met all the requirements and give it to you if you have.

    Volcanic badge

First mission in Julius the Troll's story arc is Igneous; the rest are only trolls. Also, the last arc from Talshak the Mystic has them as well as trolls.

Only other sources are the trial and the occasional one that pops up in the Gulch.
  12. One in Breakout is Jail Bird.

One in Mercy, in Fort Mercy near the quartermaster, is The Next Big Thing.
  13. At least on Infinity, RWZ is used more often than Pocket D. The only times this isn't the case is either Ship Raid night or when the WST is located there. (LGTF, Apex, etc.)
  14. I would love to see Boomtown get the upgrade that we see in the villain morality mission Rich People are Dumb. Just a way to show that Paragon City is actually trying to get all parts of the city back to being "civilized".

I'd love to see Skyway City be changed to look like it does at the end of Admiral Sutter's TF. I like the idea of things that happen in a TF have effect on the city.

I think that Dark Astoria is ripe for a series of contacts a la Striga/Faultline/Croatoa. A TF at the end, where we can reclaim Astoria from the Banished Pantheon, would be great. Perhaps those with the TF badge/souvenir could have the fog turned off in DA, to show that they've cleared it?

  16. Last night's results:

All teammates are level 50s. I got 9 shards, which falls in my average amount for an ITF of 8-12 shards. No purple drops.

So, as you can see, random is random. LGTF is not a shard farm.
  17. I've bought crafted IOs, but usually only when there are no recipes available, or the recipes are going for the same price as the crafted IO. (It's pretty weird when that occurs, but it does occasionally.)

  19. The great thing is, you don't have to buy it. Nothing in it is required to play the game. It's merely an add-on for those who would be interested in further costume options.

Really can't understand some of the vitriol aimed at NCSoft for this. It's clear that costume packs are becoming the norm, and they appear to be successful, based on the people that use them on Infinity (my home server). Why wouldn't NCSoft continue to use a tried and proven sales strategy? They are like every other business in the world; they need revenue and profit to ensure that they stay in business.
  20. I got 16 shards on an ITF once; I regularly get 8-12 on most ITF runs. I have had a run where I only got 5 shards. Keep in mind, that I have never run a clear all ITF; at most we have cleared the first two missions, but never cleared the last two.

The best thing I can say? YMMV. Your gameplay experiences don't translate into what everyone else experiences; it's great that you are having good shard runs on the LGTF, but that doesn't mean that the LGTF is a great shard producing TF for everybody.
  21. See, now I want to create a steampunk toon. Why are the devs fueling my altism?
  22. As Katze said, Archmage Tarixus is an unlockable contact. You need to get the Lorekeeper history badge in order to get missions from him.

    Archmage Tarixus - http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Archmage_Tarixus

    Lorekeeper badge - http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Lorekeeper_Badge

It's rather amusing, that both are needed for the Demonic accolade, but one can gotten only if you get the other first. (Yes, I am aware you can get it while teamed with others, but, in a storyline context, you need to get Lorekeeper first.)
  23. All of the blue-side GMs (with the exception of Kronos Titan and Hami) are random spawns. Kronos only spawns after the Stop All Wildflower Agents mission from Crimson is completed, and Hami only spawns after the defeat of a certain amount of Monsters in the Hive. (No number is known in terms of how many to defeat.)

What that other MMO system may need to eliminate "I'm sorry, you're a Nightwatchman, we need a Cleric!" we don't need here.
While I do agree with the fact that we don't have to have a certain team build to run raids, there have been times in the past where players running certain TFs would only take certain builds.

When the STF first came out, my main badger (Ice/Ice Blaster) could not get a place on any team to run it, barring my SG attempts at it. I basically gave up on trying to get those badges for awhile, and eventually got them after I18. (I also had a 2 year break from CoH in there, so it's possible I could have gotten it earlier.)

While it's true that the two new raids are very flexible in team builds, I could foresee a time when a harder trial might come along and start the "exclusivity" again. I can understand that people want to ensure that they will be successful; if I put the time into something, I want it to be successful as well. It's just too bad that some people are unwilling to think/plan outside the box.

As for limiting the size of leagues, I can see why some people would like it. For other content (TFs/trials), you can be allowed to take the minimum need to run it, so why not for these? Sometimes it's nice to play content with just friends. Sometimes it's fun to play with PUGs. I think it'd be to nice to have both choices in-game. After all, who doesn't benefit from more choices instead of less?
