Day Job Accolades and Side Switching

Tried searching for an answer, but couldn't find one, so here goes:

If I earned a villain side day job (Crey Test Subject), switched over to being a hero, and then earned Professor, would it automatically give me Whistleblower? Or is that only obtainable if I am still a villain?

I suspect it wouldn't matter which side I was on, but I want to make sure before I switch back to hero. (Yes, I know I can always switch back, but I'm trying to do everything villainside all at once, instead of making multiple trips.)

"This badge is only awarded to characters of the villain or rogue alignments. Although credit for this badge may be earned by heroes or vigilantes, the badge will not be awarded to a character until they change alignment. "

I was searching using too broad of a search term (day job accolades) and should have narrowed it down a bit (Crey Scientist). Using a narrow search term, I found the threads you listed with no issue.
