Scorpion Shield is great, I'd stick with it. You can softcap energy defense too, but it's a little more work and you'll have to sacrifice other things for it.

Blaze > Blast > Flares would be the best if you could run it seamlessly, but even my Mind/Fire that has permadom without Hasten and Spirtual Core Paragon has a small gap in that chain. So, Blaze > Incinerate > Blast is better.
Just to give you some numbers using base damage and no FE. Blaze > Blast > Flares would be about 107 DPS if there was no gap. With my Mind/Fire there's about a .24 second gap so it brings it down to 100 DPS. While the Incinerate attack chain yields about 103 DPS. -
Yeah, I wouldn't build for Psi defense/resistance, there's more important stuff to build for. You want recharge, S/L defense and +HP. The extra HP, Healing Flames and inspirations are for the stuff you're weaker against. That and you know, the ability to kill them really fast.
Generally, Soul Mastery is the go to epic for regular PvE content, Gloom is way too good to pass up. Cardiac is my alpha slot of choice, the extra end reduction is nice to keep you going, especially against single targets where you don't have the maximum effect of Consume. For Destiny, I'd go with Barrier, at least +5% defense to everything at all times is nothing to snuff at. -
Straight out removing the crash from nukes would be a nice start and no I don't think the damage would have to be modified.

Have the Cold Benumb the healing Nictus to lessen its heals.
-
Outside of farming, a Claws Brute will still be up there along with a Fire/Dark Corr.
-
What are you talking about? This statement concerns me.
-
Use moar inspirations. Really that's all I could say, you shouldn't be dying with capped resistance. Tell the people you're PL'ing to not use any so they all drop on you.
-
Actually, the perception proc works at all times regardless the power it's slotted in, just like LotG's. Although, I agree with everything else.
-
I have no doubt you can solo just fine. All I'm saying is soloing doesn't really mean farming because at that point, any toon would be a "farmer."
-
Quote:A 1 pet MM is gimped whether you like it or not and killing things slowly isn't what I would call farming.3. Let me make a correction with the petless mastermind comment. I do have the last pet with one upgrade.I wanted the Ice sword for the look.
I just soloed 1/8 Crey fire farm at level 48 with a 1 pet mastermind. Mind you the pet dies pretty darn fast at times as I cannot keep him near me because of the AI. And its only 48 with no Alpha incarnate and not defense capped yet.
So my simple point is I am farming 1/8 with a petless mastermind that you said is : "one of the dumbest things you can do in this game regarding optimization. Your toon is beyond gimped"
So it shows you really don't have a clue.
There are players that can't solo 2/4 setting, but I am farming with my gimped toon go figure.
If you want to farm some specific special AE mission with Vengeance by all means do. And I will farm any mission I want with my gimped 1 pet mastermind. But I will disagree that any build that requires vengeance to be able to farm is the best farming blaster toon. -
I'd slot Sharks the same way as AS, 3 HO's, 3 procs.
-

Eh, I don't think having Vengeance will necessarily make you more optimized. It certainly doesn't hurt, but if you're already damage capped and softcapped, it's not doing anything for you.

Quote:Phase doesn't take defense enhancements, but you already have 5 defense powers you can slot LotG's in anyways.phase is a set mule for the lotg recharge
in response, the dark set is good , as i say its always best by opinion and experience, no set is better than the next, its all how it falls into place for ur playing style and dark seems to work for u
i always pick fire cos it goes with my thesis for the character i produce, i have not tried dark yet, sounds like a good set.
As for Soul Mastery, it's probably the best for all around play, Gloom is just a really good ST attack. Although, like I said before if you want max AoE damage, Mu is the best option, while Pyre is second. -
It also costs 50 endurance iirc.
-
So many people are mad that they can't play the game as it is now for free.
-
Quote:No, Mu Mastery isn't essential, my Soul Mastery build is still an amazing farmer. However, it is clearly the best choice for farming.mu set is a good option, however its not always essential, having the pyre set is just as good, so long as ur damage is up all times and you constantly keep buffing, heres my fire/ss/pyre build, i currently use and it is amazing in my opinion.
And why do you have Phase? Even lolmeltarmor would be a better pick. -
That's pretty impressive, all you need are ess ess fiyah's and corrs! Looks like most of my speed records have been broken. Although I haven't really ran anything in a while and most of the people I ran with don't play the game anymore.
Btw Hemm, what server do you PvE on? -
-
Is that you Vex?

Here's a rough calculation, I didn't factor in Rage or Hasten activation times and I calculated 0 damage during the Rage crash.
For the Brute I used the attack chain of Gloom > KO Blow > Haymaker > Gloom > Punch > Haymaker. With 95% damage enhancement, 80% bonus from Rage and 150% from Fury, it comes out to 207.1 DPS before the Rage crash and 191.79 DPS with the crash.
Now for the Tank I used the attack chain of Jab > Gloom > KO Blow > Haymaker > Gloom > Punch > Haymaker. With bruising, 95% damage enhancement and a constant 160% bonus from stacked Rage it comes pretty close before factoring in the crash. Before the Rage crash it comes out to 203.79 DPS and 175.79 DPS after.
Bruising helps a lot, but you can only rely on it against one target, the AoE damage between the two will be even further apart. -
I can crunch some numbers together. I'm assuming recharge isn't an issue to run the top ST attack chains for both builds?
-
Claws/WP Brute and Fire/Dark Corr.
