The key thing to consider is what opponents are you farming and what is the goal of farming? For instance, do you want to focus on fire ambush farms in the AE or do you want to diversify? Also, do you plan on doing this for your benefit (tickets/inf) or for someone else's (xp)? The answers to those questions can change your build quite a bit.

If you're just looking to make inf, then stick to market pvp. You'll make a lot more and spend a lot less time doing it.

It's okay, but here are things you should change:

  • Go Mu Mastery for an extra AoE, six slot both elec fences and ball lightning and use damage procs. With your extra power pick, pickup stealth or something for another LotG.
  • Switch out the Damage Armageddon for the proc.
  • Take the 6th slot out of Rage.
  • Move the Numina over to health and slot a Miracle while your at it.
  • Get one or two more slots into stamina and slot the Performance Shifter proc.
  • Take the slots out of kick, they're useless.
  • Your over the cap for 5% recharge bonuses, so don't slot up temp protection.
  • Add another slot to Fiery Embrace.

is ball lightning and elec fences as powerful as fire ball?

and i didnt know that there was a limit on 5% rech, what is the limit for a bonus exactly?



also even if its not I will prolly change it completely based on the fact it gives 10% more rech bringing me to 117%

Fire ball is better than either ball lightning or electric fences, but not as good as having both.

Go read the very best farmer thread here in the Brute section. It has several builds and lots of pages of discussion to teach you more than you'd ever want to know about SS/Fire brutes and farming.

Good advice all around.

The combination of Electrifying Fences and Ball Lightning beat Fire Ball nicely over time, just because you have an extra AOE in your attack chain. I once thought that Fire Ball could come out on top with enough recharge, but I haven't been able to reach that point yet.

You can only have any particular set bonus five times in a single build, which is also called "The Rule of Five." Any additional bonuses are ignored.

Market PVP is usually just flipping recipes. Place a bunch of lowball bids on high-volume recipes, craft them as they come in, then put the crafted IO up for sale with whatever profit margin you think you can get. Price a little below market for a quicker turnaround. I started out crafting recipes at 5M+ margins and now I'm up to 100M+ margins per recipe. Some people prefer to corner a market on something and jack the price up (see salvage prices on any given weekend).

acually one more question, for "the rule of 5" does that go for lets say if i have 5 sets of oblits does that mean if i 5 slot something with impervious skin the rech bonus will not count, i assume it would also be the same for if i have 6 purp sets the 6th rech bonus would not count either right?

and would 2 of those mocking ber sets be useless if i picked up stealth and put a lotg in it?

No, LotG's count as there own set bonuses, so you can have five of them and five 7.5% recharge bonuses.

Hello Blake!! HAhahaha, presently standing right next to you oin the WW House.

Haven't seen your present, improved build yet but I am anxious to see it. The other build that you have posted ... well the others that commented on it hit it right on the nose so there is nothing for me to say on that. But willing to see the new changes. Also, anyone who slots Hasten 3 times is waisting a slot. Remember. When fooling around on Mids, the numbers within the ability being enhanced in "Red" is overkill. If its in "Red" with the Incarnates enabled, then thats okay because that what the buffing Incarnate Abilities are suppose to do.

mu set is a good option, however its not always essential, having the pyre set is just as good, so long as ur damage is up all times and you constantly keep buffing, heres my fire/ss/pyre build, i currently use and it is amazing in my opinion.

Blake7, If you're committed to throwing that much money at the build, then here is what I would recommend. Perma-Hasten & double-perma-rage with a single Footstomp every two minutes (I hope you're using it more than that). It uses three expensive purple sets and one expensive PVP IO set. I use a no purps version of this for my own farming, which has dropped off a lot since I went the way of the marketeer.

If you want to focus on PLing, you could switch out a combination of Concealment and Fighting powers for Leadership (Maneuvers, Tactics, Vengeance). Maybe drop Fighting altogether and Stealth from Concealment in order to pick up the three Leadership powers. Drop one more Concealment power and you can add Hand Clap to mule the AbsAmaz set.

No, Mu Mastery isn't essential, my Soul Mastery build is still an amazing farmer. However, it is clearly the best choice for farming.

And why do you have Phase? Even lolmeltarmor would be a better pick.

phase is a set mule for the lotg recharge

in response, the dark set is good , as i say its always best by opinion and experience, no set is better than the next, its all how it falls into place for ur playing style and dark seems to work for u
i always pick fire cos it goes with my thesis for the character i produce, i have not tried dark yet, sounds like a good set.

Phase doesn't take defense enhancements, but you already have 5 defense powers you can slot LotG's in anyways.

As for Soul Mastery, it's probably the best for all around play, Gloom is just a really good ST attack. Although, like I said before if you want max AoE damage, Mu is the best option, while Pyre is second.
