Fiery Assault Top Attack Chain

So I made an Elec/Fiery and I've mostly gotten a build together I'm happy with, but a question pops into my head: What's the highest attack chain for Fiery Assault? At the moment, I'm sitting at roughly 120 global recharge and softcap, so I'm none too shy about entering melee. Is the top chain something like Blaze -> Fire Blast -> Incinerate or is it best to do Flares -> Fire Blast -> Blaze? Incinerate and Fire Blast do roughly the same damage, and Flares itself doesn't do a whole lot, but incinerate is easily the worst animation speed of all four attacks. For the record, I'm going Ice Mastery for concept.

I went Fire epic and respecced out of Incinerate...that animation time was just too much to bear. I picked up Rain of Fire and Fireball from the epic instead. RoF isn't that much of an improvement when it comes to animation time, but the DoT effect is worth the animation time to me.

I use the heck out of sleet and ice storm myself, I was most worried about single target. And yea, "Tag" the animation is something that bothers me beyond measure.

I believe on DPA the best attacks are Blaze, Blast, Incin in that order. That is based on MIDS calc of Damage Per Animation so perhaps it is wrong. But if not, that's your best chain I'd imagine unless you are stuffing Flares with procs or something.

I run Blaze-Blast-Flares on by Fire/MM blaster but subjectively things feel like they melt faster on my Plant/Fire dom running Blaze-Blast-Incin.

Out of curiosity... you're going Ice Mastery for concept. Does that mean you're soft capped without it? If so, can I see your build?

I'm soft capped with frozen armor, I took pretty much the entire pool sans Hibernate. I mostly said I was going for concept simply because it more means that I wasn't gonna pick any other pool.

Here's a data build for the link, though it's not finalized (depends on the attack chain)

Blaze > Blast > Flares would be the best if you could run it seamlessly, but even my Mind/Fire that has permadom without Hasten and Spirtual Core Paragon has a small gap in that chain. So, Blaze > Incinerate > Blast is better.

Just to give you some numbers using base damage and no FE. Blaze > Blast > Flares would be about 107 DPS if there was no gap. With my Mind/Fire there's about a .24 second gap so it brings it down to 100 DPS. While the Incinerate attack chain yields about 103 DPS.

I wouldn't use flares, personally. With the amount of recharge you're at you can easily chain blast > blaze > incinerate together. If you're up around 190 or 200% recharge (with hasten), you can almost just use blast and blaze as a two power attack chain.

@Dysc, on virtue:
Virtue blues: Overnight (DP/MM), Kid Ridiculous (FC/rad), Panorama (Ill/time)
Virtue reds: Block Party (SS/SD), Goldcrush (earth/fire), Deadwire (claws/elec), Snowcrush (ice/kin)

Thanks for the help, it's mostly a bit of a rough call. I can drop Incinerate completely and pick up Assault (and a PVP global in Hoarfrost), but I don't think even with 190 recharge I can make a blaze/fire blast/flares chain. I may be best off sticking to Incinerate in the chain, much as I hate the animation, and keeping the KC while just one slotting Flares.

If he means in an attack chain, He's trolling.

If he means in the build, he might have a point. Blazing bolt is not just a pretty nice way to build domination up, but it can take some pretty nice sets, both in the bonuses themselves, and in the cost to get said sets.

well here is why Blazing Bolt can get some good damage for the dom on soloing AVs hold them or confuse them and use it and it gets seriously awesome set bonuses

DPA, damage per activation is what your looking at, not 'OMG i hit him for 500 damage' as Blazing bolt takes like 6 (or more) seconds to animate, you really only did like 90DPA (and DPS for that matter) where blaze, does about the same damage, but in 1 second time. Which do you want to use more? something that does 90 DPa.. or something that does 500 DPa?
