Fire/Cold.
All that AoE on Sleet, nuking every once in a while without negative effects while being an awesome force multiplier? Instant favorite. -
A Gravity Controller alternating between Dimension Shift and Phase Shift.
Impossible to kill your enemies, too, ha.
(Edit: Totally ignoring tolerance for phase, of course.) -
If you're going for IOs, melee defense is easy for Elec/Elec. Titanium Coating for the armor toggles, Obliteration and Touch of Death for the melee attacks and you're set. Once you've drained the enemies of their endurance, their only attack will (usually) be some version of Brawl (which hurts a lot more compared to one given to players). Single targets you can usually pressure enough -Recovery to almost never have them attack once drained.

I think the combination of Radiation Emission and Dark Blast might better serve under the Defender flag for a variety of reasons:
- DoT powers and Scourge generally don't mix well (Unless we're talking about RoF or similar powers).
- Damage procs being the same for everyone, closing the gap with the Corruptor alongside with stronger -Res.
- Better market for übering up your character. Well, at least it's a faster process.
- Defender AT might get Developer love Soon enough.
- Access to a freaking godmode: (Force of Nature). Personally I just love these.
So, what can I expect of this tentacle-y combination of FoTM Radiation and darkness? I forecast good times with proc-cone attacks, healthy amounts of Controller envy and several piles of joy-soiled pants (Fallout, Veng, Mutation).
For the color scheme I was thinking of various soothing shades of blue. Blue is such a relaxing color, don't you agree? -
My Kat/SR Stalker soloed his first AV (Aurora Borealis) at level 33, so it's very possible.
If at high level, Spiderlings from the Mace Mastery pool can become a major asset at taking down AV/Heroes: they do respectable damage like Fire Imps, but you can add procs such as the Achilles Heel -Res, or the damaging ones from DefDbf-sets. Having 3 brainless allies near you increases your Crit-chance from base 10% to 19%, too. Pretty neat, huh?
Not to mention that you can placate and rest during battle in case of exhaustion and injury. Having a reset button available every while is handy for controlling the flow of the battle. You might say it's cheating, but it's not.
It's just dirty. -
Yup, you'll just have to stack enough Heat Loss icons to break through a Nuke's -1000% recovery debuff. To do that, however, you'll have to slot endmods, since each icon is +50% recovery at base, and the target cap is 10 (+1 which you emanate from yourself, so 11).
Base recovery is '100%', and Stamina, when slotted, is around 45-50%. In reality you'll only have to break through -850%ish recovery, which is counterable with just 9 Heat Loss icons with good slotting. -
Quote:Fire/Cold. I remember having one at 33-34 for months, I was at the brink of deleting him for his suckage and complete helplessness against anything that had a mez.fire/cold is my favorite corruptor. It was a little hard to solo before sleet though.
What happened when I finally got him that one darned level? The coin of power flipped, the unslotted Sleet, the blazing revenge. There were only bodies. Me on top of them, laughing like a maniac.
Not only you can solo very efficiently, you are one of the better teammates around with the strong buffs and potent debuffs. Also, insane damage you can achieve with just Sleet + RoF alone gets just better with Fire Ball, Heat Loss and Inferno. -

Quote:The only things a Defender Emp does better are: slightly higher healing numbers (pointless, really), and slightly better numbers on Fortitude (15% def vs. 11.25%, and 31.25% dmg vs. 25%) The Defender Clear Mind gives a bit more mezprotect magnitude but that really doesn't matter because the mezzes rarely stack that high, and even if they do, not even Defender CM can save you at that point.the title says it all, is it as strong, and same numbers as the defenders?
Everything else is exactly the same. R-Auras, Adrenalin Boost, the Rez, because those aren't affected by any modifiers. Basically the only thing the Defender has over Controller is Fortitude's numbers, and even then the Controller can abuse Power Boost more often and produce overall better numbers. -

Quote:This isn't very fair to Electric Melee Brutes, who are at the bottom of ST damage (even at high Fury, the numbers aren't great), yet aren't top of AoE damage and the mitigation from end drain just doesn't work unless you have a truckload of -recovery and other better sources of enddrain such as Power Sink.Caps are tied to AT. Powers that summon pets use the Pets AT modifiers. While we can manually adjust scales to mimic the effect of AT mods on the class tables, we do not have the capability of doing that with Max values; the Caps.
Quote:In addition, both Lightning Rod and Shield Charge are highly modified powers. They do not follow the normal rules, for a variety of reasons, the largest being the fact that they are not designed to be used as part of a normal attack chain. If you do use them as part of an attack chain, that's great, but they are not intended to be used that way. -

I remember using Power Surge a lot during that mission. x8/+2.

I believe it's a fight between Ninja Blade and Dark Melee. Katana can produce better raw DPS by the usage of Achilles Heel proc and overall good DPA attacks, but Dark Melee's NE damage doesn't get resisted much anywhere, and has good attacks as well.
I'm leveling up a Nin/SR right now though, soloed my first AV (Aurora Borealis) at level 33. (when I got more slots to Golden Dragonfly) -
Phase 1: Collect underpants
Phase 2: ?
Phase 3: Profit -
Quote:It doesn't stack because it works by granting a set bonus named Achilles' Heel, which is set not to stack from the same caster. Because the enemy is the one 'casting' it, it can only be refreshed. The other thing about the -res proc is that it will not stack from separate powers; once neutrino's -res procs, you can't double-stack it from irradiate, just refresh it. I believe it *can* stack from different casters, such as other players who have it slotted, or from, say, a couple of trap's acid mortars that have the proc slotted. Not 100% sure on that, if anyone can confirm, please do.
