Ding! At Last!
Anyone that says "so what?" You have to realize that I can't STAND being "the bad guy" so to take a villain to level 50.... was quite a feat for me. The only way I could accomplish it was to make my villain..... not so villainous. He'll probably be the first one to switch sides once Going Rogue comes out.
Gratz on your 50!
Congratulations on your newest 50!
Welcome to a Mew and Final Level!
Is it odd that I was able (smirk) to ascertain you were SS/WP from your bio without reading the rest?
Grats on the 50 PK! Now do it 6 more times with all the other villain AT.

wOW very nice... I have a Fire/Fire Tank that is over 5 years old and is only level 19. He was the 2nd toon I ever made but lost interest in him. I have been using him as a Marketer mainly crafting and selling IO's. Right now he is sitting on 500 million so perhaps one day I will do what you did and work him to 50.
Gratz!!! But whats with the hair? Use the barbaric one!
@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!
He's not barbaric! So, what should I do next?
Good job on hitting 50 on the evil side, PK. I hope you'll have an easier time playing the bad guy in the future. As long as it's play-pretend, it can actually be quite an interesting experience. You just have to find the right kind of "evil" for you. The approach you took with this guy is a pretty good one, though I'd resist crossing him over as a hero, myself, and instead cement his side of the moral divide by personal choice.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

I know what you mean about having trouble playing bad guys.
It's the same for a lot of my villains too, they're all in the "anti" end of the scale.
The most fiendish plot one of my villains has it to create a device called "The Nostalgia Bomb", three guesses what it does. Oh, he also plans to Rickroll the world, but only because he honestly likes that song.

As for playing "evil" characters, the way I deal with it (usually) is to make them evil in a business-like way: They're evil because that's where the money is, and they couldn't care less about morals. To me, this is the scariest kind of evil there is, since they know that they're doing something wrong, but they don't care because of all the benefits they get from it.
It's either that, or the character is just plain crazy. This could be caused by any number of reasons, but I doubt if any of them really know why they're crazy (a useful excuse for not writing a detailed backstory

I also have a few "revenge on society" characters, and one who was cursed and, through various attempts to remove the curse, ended up so stupid that she can't tell right from wrong, so she just does whatever she wants (she's really fun to play, since I can use her to ask stupid questions and then claim an "RP moment").
I suppose the whole issue with people making evil characters as opposed to good ones boils down to "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Good characters (heroes) are doing what they should be doing; protecting civilians from people doing what they shouldn't. They are, essentially, the "ain't broke" kind of characters. Playing a "broke", or villainous, character without a reason for them to be the way they are leaves people (especially ones with a strong sense of morality) with a "why" vacuum. They want to know why the character "broke" in the first place so that either 1) the character can be "fixed", or 2) they can avoid "breaking" that way themselves/prevent others from "breaking" that way. I guess people want to believe that other people are inherently good and that it would take a lot for someone to be evil. Since people who are evil just to be evil undermine this philosophy, there is a strong drive to find some reasoning behind the "evilness" of certain people. This translates to digital people as well, in most cases.
At least, that's how I see it.
(I know, it was too long as usual, and on a subject that was not the thread topic, but this subject has always interested me, so I thought I'd hijack the thread for a bit. I'm sorry if this disrupts the thread entirely, and I'll probably start a separate thread on this topic as soon as I can figure out where to put it.)
On the topic of the thread (yes, I actually can write on-topic posts), uberGRATZ on your first lvl 50 villain! The VEAT's really are awesome, so I recommend trying one as soon as you can find a good reason to be evil again.
I've enjoyed the Crab, Widow and Fortunata paths so far and agree that the VEAT's are enjoyable.
Speaking of finding ways to play redside without going "Evil for the sake of being Evil", I went with: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...chClockVillain for the Crab and had fun with it.
For my SS/WP Brute "Terrible Two", I went with something like: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...pathicManchild , only more genuinely attempting to be nice.
And avoided certain Arcs as well.

SS/WP my favorite kind of brute
You should
Roll his dad, Ib Ern McAbel, a crazy fleshhungry Fire-something cyborg.
I'd like to present to you all the latest Level 50 villain on Justice, and my first red-side:
Yes, all you flamers out there, he's a whiny emo brat.
Anyways, So being at level 45, with an acceptable (to me at least) back story, I decided to concentrate and bring him the rest of the way to finally get my first level 50 villain.
After playing on these PuGs for a bit, I realized that I was doing MUCH more damage than almost the rest of my teammates combined.... and leading the teams. So I was doing most of the work and still just getting 1/8th of the "credit". So I decided to solo the last 5 levels. I set my settings to even con and worth 8 villains and went on my way. I found a nice combo of the Mu powers + Foot Stomp and Hand Clap. Paired with my Willpower secondary and consistent use of Lucks, I was able to solo almost every mob with relative ease.
Well, ALMOST every mob. There were exceptions. On my way up I decided to take a couple videos of my last level, for you all to enjoy.
Revenge!
And finally....
50 At Last!
