  1. Some MOBs ignore stealth, the most ubiquitous one is the Rikti Drone. If you are near a spawn with them in it, the rest of that spawn will start targeting you.
The Knives of Artemis also ignore stealth and there are a few critters with +Perception (like Snipers) or even Tactics.
So, where were you when you were being tagged, and what types of critters were in those spawns?
  2. The Sonic Barriers in Praetoria are also thinner, making it easier to get the Denial of Service Badge now. I should say Nova Praetoria, that's the only zone I've checked.
  3. I'm happy where I am Bill, thanks for asking.
  4. Here is a list of all the contacts, its from Zombie Man's Guide to I18.

You can walk up to any of the first contacts in an arc and talk to them. Talk to them twice to get missions, and there you go. The contact hand off in Praetoria needs some work still, a lot of people are in your same boat.

You should have either (or both) Calvin Scott or Provost Marchand in your contact list, call them up. They are supposed to give you new contacts at levels 5, 10, and 15.
  5. I've played in Praetoria quite a bit now on several different characters and I've come to the conclusion that, in Praetoria, one of our common game play assumptions is wrong, "clearing the map on the way to your objective is a good thing."

In a lot of the Praetorian missions clearing your way to the objective is just plain stupid, you weaken your resources (inspirations, HP, End) and give more time for ambushes to find you and gang up on you. Race through the map, don't attack anything, find your objective and get the H**L out. The 5 minute timer on one Praetorian/Arachnos mission made me rethink my approach to the missions in Praetoria.

If you don't attack any MOBs in a spawn as you run by them, they'll take a potshot or two, but they won't follow more than a few feet (excluding ambushes). I take advantage of that and just get to the objective. If the objective is a boss, take him out quick, if ambushes spawn while you are fighting that boss, ignore them and concentrate on that boss and finish the mission.

The horrible ambush while fighting Seer 0001? If you ignore it and push through and drop her the mission ends. You don't need to defeat the rest of her spawn or the ambush, just hit that little blue button, you did your job.

Those missions through Ghoul infested sewers to meet someone or find something? Most of them you can just race through till you find your objective, you don't have to fight the ghouls (the mission where you have to rescue some PPD is an exception, you HAVE to clear to the PPD if you want to lead them out alive).

Meeting Steve Sheridan? Let the ghoul ambushes follow you to Steve and let Longbow deal with them, they're not your problem.

Could the Devs have designed these missions with this strategy in mind? I wonder if one of the factors in the Devs decision to make Sprint faster was to make avoiding the MOBs in the Praetorian missions easier.

Just do all your missions in Praetoria like you're doing a speed run, I'm finding that it makes life a lot easier. It cuts down on the frustration and the deaths. Besides, I'm a busy person, I have things to do, I don't have time to deal with all those clueless minions, and thankfully, I don't have to.

Actually there is just enough friction on that wall that Ninja Run and Sprint can get you up it. Just be face first in the wall and jump, just as you are about to fall back in at the top, your toes dig in and pop you over the wall. Give it a try.
  7. Placate the ambusher and run off. It seems to take him a long time to find me again after I placate him. Repeat every time he gets close.
    See if that helps.
  8. I ate a lot of reds and just went to town on the EB, as soon as she dropped I hit Mission Exit before the ambush managed to kill me. That was on a Scrapper and on a Stalker. I'm not going to even try that mission on my Dom.
  9. I think there have been more replies in this thread than there are powers in the game.
  10. Do some radio missions and the Detective should give you a contact after a safeguard. That's all I can think of at the moment.

I did also, it happens so infrequently you might as well forget about it. Its going to be replaced with some EndMod and Acc enhancements.
  12. This is my current build, see if it gives you any ideas.

BTW, I use Ninja Run as a travel power, I would prefer Super Jump but I couldn't squeeze it in. Blinding Powder, Caltrops and Smoke Flash are great powers for controlling your agro (a lot of people don't care for Smoke Flash but I find it useful), you should have at least one, preferably two of them, it will greatly increase your survivability.

Now for the bad news, your 3 heavy hitter attacks (AS, ET, and TF) take so long to animate that you will find that you won't be landing any significant attacks while teaming except against EB's and above. While you are still winding up the team has already killed the whole spawn. Be prepared to solo a lot, but you will be well suited to it.

  13. If he canceled the credit card charge, as opposed to canceling the subscription on NCSoft's site, than NCSoft permanently bans that account. If they get a charge back (i.e. the credit card company takes the money back from NCSoft) they do not forgive. If the charge was merely denied than talking with CS can get the account reinstated.
  14. If you change alignment all your missions disappear and you lose your progress in your contacts arc, also sometimes the contacts will disappear from your contact list (active and inactive, they are just gone) even if they are still in the game. Then you just have to talk to them again and you can restart their arc from the beginning.
  15. Just something to be aware of, since you have the "Chance for Lethal" proc in Surveillance it will break your stealth when you use it. (Normally Surveillance does not break stealth.)
  16. I'm soloing it now also, the stories are just that interesting. After everyone has done them a few times I'm sure we'll see more teaming in Praetoria. But I really think Praetoria will always have more soloing than the RI or PC, if you're going to race through content on large teams there's sewer runs and police scanners Blue side and paper missions Red side. In Praetoria you get a new contact after every few missions (at least it seems like that) and have to meet them in person.

  18. Haven't seen anything about them in Praetoria at all. I don't recall the Circle mentioned in any of the high level Hero arcs about Praetoria either.
Praetoria is going to be expanded upon, more areas and content for higher level play, we may see a mention of Praetorian Circle of Thorns once that material is introduced.
The factions we are seeing are Clockwork (robots), Syndicate (psychics), Destroyers (think Trolls, they use Fixadine), Ghouls (failed science experiments) and PPD. I think that's it (did I forget anyone?).
Could one of those provide you with the inspiration you need? At least until the Praetorian Circle possibly shows up.
  19. I'm trying to figure out why I read the OP.

    Morbid curiosity?
    I got nothing.
  20. If its the mission I think it is, all the clones drop with just one hit, they only have like 5 HP. It wasn't a hard mission really.
  21. You can also just walk up to the first contact in an arc and talk to them. You can check out Zombie Man's Guide to I18, and here is where he lists the contacts for the various Praetorian arcs.

The rest of the movie, garbage.
  23. In the Praetorian market I found 6 things to click on.

    In Studio 55 I found 5.

In the Loyalist Lounge I think there were 5 also.

Some of them made me laugh out loud and the rest made me chuckle.
