1. Personally I'd say hasten wasn't a good pick there. With 2 rechargers in each attack you can have a nice attack chaim going with Claws anyway. I wouldn't take the fighting pool, but that's just personal preference. I'd suggest switching revive to 49 and taking maybe Laser Beam Eyes at 47 to get an extra ranged hitter in (I find it's great for pulling runners of squishies). I'd also really say get Focus earlier... much earlier. IIRC it's available at 18 and is your best single target attack, with the added bonuses of being ranged and having good knockback/down. Of course if you're already close to 50 that's a moot point.

Either way, Claws/Regen is hellish fun, enjoy
2. just a quick one.. you might want to swap those recharge reducers in Focused accuracy for End Reducers
3. It's to make up for it looking awful Chives

Like the others have said, /regen is good and a lot of fun. Personally I'm claws/regen, but I suspect BS/Regen would be great fun (although either of the swords work nicely with SR too)
4. I just can never bring myself to play a spines scrapper since they are so damn ugly! Those spines just look all fake and plastic.

Now if I could have the very cool metallic looking spines that Silver Mantis has....
5. Ye gods.... you can do stuff like that with PSP9?

Well..... obviously you can.... I'm astounded!
6. Always good work Tiddles

So when are more coming out.... you surely can't have better things to do?

btw, the linky to the SG website isn't quite right... good plug tho
7. I love them...

Now we need more

They should just bin hammy as its no fun. (...) give players some thing better than a no fun lag fest of about 4 hours where the only thing your sure to come away with is a bitter tast in you mouth.

The Devs need to pull there fingers out of there collective [censored]'s and give the players a fun challenge.

[/ QUOTE ]

Damn straight. I would LOVE to talk to some of the devs involved, just so I could demolish their arguments and call them a bunch of imberciles to their faces. Having worked in the field of games development, the more I read and learn of Hami, the more I realise it is a cluster-fewk that they don't know how the hell to fix. It is textbook "how to ruin an RPG" stuff. I remember reading this guy's website ages ago on "how to build the perfect RPG" and at the time a scoffed and said "pshaw, that's so old and geeky." I find it sad that a modern RPG demonstrates all the text-book faults he listed.

[/ QUOTE ]

Which to me indicates that there probably is an elegant solution... it's the brute force approach that carries the faults/problems!

[/ QUOTE ]

Y'see... I agree with the thought process there, but a single confirmation that there is an intended strategy other than brute force would go a long way here.

I think the best anybody has ever done is to have States respond with a "my lips are sealed". I'd much prefer a "there is a way.. go look for it. We're not going to tell you anything else"

CoV R/ping

Ah.. the Monkey Fight Club..... I was introduced to it last night... very cool.

Some dev had a sense of humour there. I even ended up up on the evening I think
10. It's a pedantic point, but you might need to update your data for the hero planner. Isn't taunt now not available until 10?

Looks like a decent build tho, but as others have said, more info on if you plan to solo or team more would make a difference.
11. Ebon Hawk reporting for some jelly action
12. They are just superb.. nothing more I can say really
13. Ebon Hawk reporting for duty. Claws/Regen scrapper happy to join the tanking team (I've got recon, DP optimally slotted, IH is 2heal 3redux).. also got Portal Jockey and Freedon Phalanx Reserve. I can respec some slots into taunt (just the base 1 slot atm)
14. [ QUOTE ]
If I remember correctly there are also lighting effects you can place.. does that work?

[/ QUOTE ]

There are static lights you can place, but you can't edit them for colour or intensity (AFAIK). Not sure if there are any green static lights either

Just a quick question really. When you are raiding someone elses base does it teleport you to a particular place e.g. the entrance room or is it always random? I am trying to make my base more defendable but the attackers seem to spawn in different locations.

[/ QUOTE ]

can't see an answer to this, so I'll chip in

AFAIK, attackers can spawn in any doorway in the base being raided (the 1x1 sections between rooms). So that's the thing to bear in mind in base layout.

Now for my question: I may be mistaken, but I thought that coalition members were supposed to be able to come to your aid in the event of a base raid? Our SG has tried this in "test" instant raids and no coalition members were able to sign up. Was I mistaken and this is WAI? Have any others had success with trying this?

I mainly ask as we recently had to shift all our 50's to a second coalitioned SG due to growing numbers of members. It would be nice to be able to use those 50's in base defence without having to play musical SG's

One more question; Is he affected by your own Domination? I imagine the answer to be no, but thought I'll ask anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]

I believe the answer is no.

[/ QUOTE ]

And you'd be right...although I wonder if you'll be able to pass the Domination buff when the "Pass the buff" changes come into play...

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm pretty sure they've said the "pass the buff" tech won't affect summoned pets, just powers which work under the hood by a pet summon, but aren't obviously a pet (if that makes sense)

sounds good, max. you know we at Violators are ready to kick you sorry butt
You have any good plan regarding base-items? not many SGs want their base-items destroyed for a practice raid.. maybe we can work around that somehow

[/ QUOTE ]

I was under the impression that any item damage that happens in an instant raid is "automagically" fixed at the end of the raid.

Can anybody confirm (looks meaningfully at Bridger)
18. Entirely from memory, but I think the kheldian toggle shields are a base 12.5% resistance.

So with ED, based on 3 res SO's, that can be gotten to about 20% (though now I'm doubting my memory, as that seems low)

*edit*
and now to correct myself..

having checked Dr Rocks excellent AT comparison application, kheldian toggle shields are a base 22.5% resistance. So by my calculations, 3 SO's will take that to just over 30%. Still not great, but better than the 20% I quoted earlier.

Bonfire will make a big difference, It will throw pretty much anything up to a +4 straight out of the patch.

Anything +5 or over will get knocked down.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ah.. OK. Careful use required then unless I plan to just lob mobs everywhere..... must place appropriately.

Thanks again for the info
20. Thanks for the info

Love that it can be up perma with no slotting (is that with hasten or without?)

As for KB Vs KD... I tend to find that if I'm fighting anything above my level KB tends to turn into KD anyway.

I've seen Ice Slicks throw mobs off them if the mobs are low enough relative to the ice controller, so I'm not sure how much fundamental difference there is between KB and KD, or if it's just a magnitude thing.

Really useful to know before I plough into bonfire though.. thanks.
21. I think you're right... but I though kheldian human forms got dropped to 75% rather than 70%... could be wrong tho.

Just to have a minor rant, I hate that the combo if I5 and I6 now means it's impossible to get a dwarf form to it's res cap through slotting!
22. does bonfire not need slotting?.. or do you just not like it?

I got the impression that it's fires ice slick/earthquake.

I'd planned to slot it for recharge on my fire controller, but does it come back up fast enough that it's not worth the slots? Or am I missing something about it and it's actually not a useful AoE control power at all (soft control though it may be)
23. pre I5 I thought my regen scrapper was overpowered
24. was the IoP base one of the items you sold?

Did you replace it?

In beta I built a base capable of holding an IoP (in a small vault, only able to take 1 IoP), and placed a IoP base to put my IoP on, then was unable to actually place an IoP, and the base was counting as that rooms IoP capacity.

To paraphrase, the system seemed to count the IoP base as an actual IoP.

They may have fixed that now, or maybe not. I'd be interested to know.

When I removed the IoP base from the small vault, I could quite heppily put an actual, bonus giving IoP in.

Again, this was all in beta.

I could tank marginally better than the SR scrapper who could tank for 3 minutes (uptime of elude) but would be oneshotted immediately elude ran out. She was also oneshotted once thru elude. Myself I could tank for 3 minutes (the uptime of unstoppable, and could survive maybe 20-30 seconds in addition with my normal defenses counting dull pain. That makes me still able to tank slightly better than a scrapper..whew. The regen scrapper was at our mercy and would be faceplanted if he got marauders attention.

No MoG on the regen'er?
