Sorry for the Yelling but I just feel so strongly about Control and Ranged toons and I feel like the normal mentality of control and ranged players is a bit off. Balance is important yes but almost all the control and ranges sets are lacking...BIG TIME.
Granted I haven't actually gotten the proc yet on my fire troller, but i dont see it being as game breaking as many claim on a control AT. The only place I see an issue with the new knockdown bonfire is blasters and MMs having access to it, which clearly offers far more control than intended to non-control ATs. -
It's always funny when people so vehemently defend KB, even in aoe form. KD is better, it's not an opinion.

Both BU and Fiery Embrace in the same set would be hilariously OP.
And as said, getting rid of BU for FE wouldn't be a good way to go either, even before the snipe changes. -
Nope, which is why I asked. It's pretty obvious my account is f2p right now, so I can't do trials.

Did they ever make this harder to get than it was on beta? Cause on beta, with an entire pug with no planning and no AT stacking this was pretty much a joke to get.

It's not enjoyable, and it just wastes everyones time. Sure I can alt tab out and read forums/fb/manga whatever while the cutscenes are going, which I do, but when I'm playing CoH I'd rather do just that, and actually play CoH. -

I don't really like the idea of multiple names for a single character. You can call that personal preference though. For me the character is the name and the name is the character. I don't RP whatsoever so there would be no reason for a change in names. At best it would mean getting to use more names that I want to use that I wouldn't otherwise use, because I play so few toons.
As for nonunique names, I'm not sure. It would be nice to be able to use some names that are being tied up by people who don't play anymore or are being sat on by level 1 toons, but other than that, there are far more cons than the pros, including dissatisfied people with people using their unique names, potential abuse of the system (to grief or otherwise, even with the globalname check), among other things.
Yeah I'd like to use some names that I would otherwise not be able to use, but I also like that the names my characters have are my own, and I prefer that over being able to use a couple other names that I wouldn't have previously, and looking outside of how it would just affect me, I just see it making alot of upset customers. -

The IO does sound cool though, I wonder how many energy blast users/pbs will actually use it..... Or Stormies for that matter, oh lord, I wonder how this proc will work in LS and Tornado. -

2) Mind for trollers is awful because it's so bad at setting up containment, and it's dmg suffers because of it. Illusion can get away with it because it has a very unique niche. Mind does not have that niche, infact Mind's biggest niche (easiest perma av control) isn't even possible for controllers, it's a dom only trait.
3) Semi related to the previous, but it can't be stressed enough, not having an aoe immobilize on a controller is just bad, aoe immobs are the bread and butter for controllers. They're massive sources of damage and softcontrol for them. -

Highly ineffecient. If you're too lazy to do the ramiel arc, or you're one of those people who think it's too hard, just auto unlock it in ouro using the voucher system, otherwise it's a 5 minute arc, and those threads (and influence) you would be burning to unlock the slot the way you mentioned could be put towards actually getting something slotted in it, the slot isn't worth anything if there is nothing in it.

You need either Cardiac/Vigor or Ageless for SS/Fire brutes. And both work pretty much equally well (assuming recovery path on ageless, otherwise cardiac/vigor will offer more end management).
I have both vigor and ageless to use depending on the situation on my SS/Fire. I normally run Spiritual+Ageless for max dmg/rchg, however on leagues I'll often switch to vigor so I can run Barrier, Clarion, or Rebirth instead, depending on what the league needs most.
It's alot of work to get all those incarnate abilities though mind you, I got Vigor, Spiritual, Ageless, Clarion, Rebirth, and Barrier all to t4 on my ss/fire, but some are fine at t3 (barrier and rebirth you absolutely want to t4). It /is/ worth it, imo, especially if you do trials alot. -
If he's using a Burn>Gloom>Hay>KoB>Gloom>Hay chain then the hecatombs are better in Haymaker, not KoB. If hes going for the chain that doesnt use Haymaker, then obviously it would be better in KoB, but that requires alot more rchg.

IF WB turns out to be competitve with Fire (which from the numbers i saw on beta *cough* it has a strong chance to be), I'll either make a water/cold or water/kin corr.
