  1. Thanks again for another fun event. My Kheld got her badly-needed respec and the Zombie afters party was fun, too!

Heavens to Betsy! Yes! Thank you, thank you!

  5. Another resource is Paragon Wiki which, although not a map per se, has in-game screen captures for the locations of individual exploration badges. Sometimes those badges can be tricky to find even with Vidiotmaps (the devs can be diabolical at hiding 'em ). The screen captures help a lot in those cases.

  6. It was a lot of fun. I really apprieciate that care was taken to include everyone who turned out.

Special thanks to Infernal and team for putting up with my poor Tyger Tyger, a MA/Fire single-target scrapper who spent most of the time flat on her back from knockback (when she wasn't DC'd). Despite the Tyger Tyger handicap, we still finished first -- and had a lot of fun in the process!

  7. I'd prefer new overlays. I really dislike the current preset granite look for my stone tanker. One of the reasons I prefer this game to other MMOs is that my characters look the way _I_ want them to look (especially with I16 -- yay, I16! go, I16!), not look like everybody else's because of equipment. The current preset Granite armor has a feel of other MMOs' uber-equipment-identical-look to it. I'm willing to settle for the Kheld's preset alien racial forms because of canon/story content, but the one-rock-fits-all approach to granite has always bothered me. There is nothing in the game canon that would possilby explain why my stone tanker must look identical to somebody else's.

I would trust, though, that any such change would be done later and not delay I16's rollout.

Heavy-hitting electric blaps mesh nicely with relatively heavy hitting single target ranged attacks that recharge slowly.
I tried a Rad/MM first, thinking all that AOE(particularly the cone AOE) goodness woudl be great. Deleted it. I wasn't surviving very long in AOE range. Switched over to a Rad/Elect and like it much better. The key (at least for me) was Thunder Strike.

I'm not a blapper, I hate blapping -- but I've become a Rad/Elec blapper. The Rad/ set just seems to work so much better in blapping range. /MM wasn't providing enough mitagation. Thunder Strike's AOE knockdown makes all the difference . Add to that Thunderclap for a panic button. Irradiate combined with Lightning Field is not all that shabby, either. And Havoc Punch provides the ST knockback mitagation that TK Thrust did -- only with damage tacked on.

  12. In the radio mission I just did, the Lost minions were panhandling with a tin cup and lying around on the sewer grates. Some were lying face down in the poo water. A couple times they "ambushed" me because I didn't see them -- they were underwater.

  14. The Vision _was_ the Avengers at one point in time...the rest of them were just guest stars in his book. For almost 100 isssues (93 through 184 of their original series), the figure of the Vision was part of the title's logo, he was that iconic to the team.

We had Burger Kings, Pizza Huts, and Baskin Robbins in Iraq. (The busiest Burger King in the world in 2003 was the one at Baghdad airport.) What's so unbelievable about Vanguard troops kicking back and playing a little AE in their off-duty hours?

    * Keep Freedom money on Freedom, don't spend it on Liberty or Pinnacle

    * Keep Altas Park money in AP, don't spend it creating new zones.

  19. Examples of Heroic Necromancy:

    1) Lord of the Rings books. Aragorn summons the dead of the Dead Marshes, a story element undoubtedly drawn from...

    2) The legend of Drake's Drum. Legend has it that Sir Francis Drake promised should England ever again lay in peril, just bang on his drum and he would return from the dead (along with the rest of the English Fleet that faced the Armada).

    3) The Spectre. There's a reason his skin is white. He's a corpse. A reanimated one. True, it was the Voice (God) who originally reanimated him, but by 1970 the Spectre had gone on to his final reward. Dr. Fate and the Justice Society resummoned him from beyond the grave -- all under Comics Code Authority seal of approval, too!

    http://comics.org/coverview.lasso?id=23696&zoom=4

    4) Kid Eternity. His summoned-from-beyond-the-grave minions had a little bit more color in their cheeks than most zombies, but they were deceased parrots pining for the fjords nevertheless.

    5) The Purple Zombie, a 1940s comic book hero who was, well, a purple zombie summoned by an evildoer who turned on his summoner and continued to battle evil.

    4) Billy Butcherson, the zombie in the 1993 Disney family film HOCUS POCUS.

  20. My guess (which means nothing) would be mid- or late-October.

    1) This would position it for the on-shelf retail store Christmas season. Not too early so it still has a "new shiny" appeal, but early enough to have some word of mouth appeal.

    2) This would position it for a HeroCon 2009 roll out. Assuming there's a HeroCon 2009 and its held roughly the same time period as last years.

  21. Depending on how the new box expansion mechanics work, the only new tanks I'd roll would be for AT unique powersets. Other than that, I'll be rolling brutes for both red- and blue-side instead of tanks.

Nothing to do with numbers...I just really don't like tanking for teams .. too much like being the de facto team leader.
