Quote:How much of the player base do you really think will see it if it is made a vet reward now? How many years for the 'average' player to get that award.Sorry; I didn't notice your edit until after posting mine. Maybe I'm an optimist, but I'm sure this will be eventually made a vet reward; we have the precedent of the sprints and the helmets, and the enhancements themselves have generic names that aren't associated with the store prepurchase in any way.
Being made into a vet reward that you will see in a few months compared to 4-5 years is what make you think optimistically about it.
Better to have a goodies pack like good vs evil in a while. -
Would of been nice to know this before the earlier deal. Dont understand the rose coloured glasses from the people supporting this a a fair, open deal.
So its not really a happy annocuement for a lot of people who prepurchased );
And soul binding tech is now here ): Bet incarnate stuff uses it ): -
I love temp powers. More is great.
The weapon ones mean more to non vet toons who dont have the vet attacks.
The backup radio can sell for a lot. -
Quote:We cant mail merits as there is a vet reward that gives new characters merits. Those vets could create lots of characters and pass those merits on for no risk. Also, why can't we mail merits to ourselves? I have probably a dozen characters with these piddly little piles of merits, useless by themselves but worth a couple of rolls if I could pool them in one spot.
Anyway, thanks for listening to my whine.
And go run the new Posi, it's fun even without a recipe roll.
Oops should of read all the thread first.... just repeating stuff -

Quote:You mean thank the exploiters. My advice is to just stay as far away from AE these days. They've nerfed it so much that even creating a test mission with standard non-custom mobs will yeild lower XP than defeating the same level mobs at street level.
I'm serious, go try it yourself. Create a test mission and choose for example Skulls and defeat one in AE and then defeat the same Skull at the same level on the streets. You'll find at least a 10% difference lower in AE. It's not even worth it anymore.
You can thank all of those farmers for that one. -
Quote:You could just post to facebook yourself.
Personally, I'd like the functionality as long as I can control what badges get posted on Facebook. I get about 30 badges every time I create a new character; I don't want to flood my page with all those. And exploration badges are too easy, I wouldn't care about posting those so much. But things like Master of X TF I would really like to show off.
And hey, it'd be good promotion for the game. -
I'd expect it to be B).
If wanted a lvl 50 only, needs to state level 50 only. As is, I see it stating what level it will be run at.
I'd still send a tell first if i was lower than 45ish, as less than five levels lower than leader can be a big deal to some teams. -
Quote:Another please... I'm tired of seeing my ARCs lose XP rewards everytime I turn around, and kinda accept it must be, but i'd love to know if I was getting 50%, 70% etc XP when I select a mission, or how short my arc is.

If you want a picture of your character, you can press printscreen and a snapshot is saved in your city of heroes folder.
unless you are in the tailor/costume maker view. -
-
Also there are invention tables in the vanguard base in RWZ
-
Quote:Plus the valkyrie cape from that boosterAlso keep in mind two other things...
- Single Shoulder Capes are available as part of the 21 Month Vet Reward.
- The High Collar Cape is available as part of the Magic Booster.
Thank you for the time... -
Quote:I think vanguard merits as reward is great idea. How about giving us (and by us I mean the Higher end vets and the player base) Vanguard merits and Costume recipes every so often. Say, every 6 months you get the option to have a costume piece unlocked (or get the recipe for said costume piece) and give us say, 60 Vanguard Merits every 3 months.
This avoids the whole "You can only unlock it by waiting" dilemma, and at the same time gives those of us who have been around for ever a break when it comes to doing something we have done a thousand times already.
*When I say costume pieces I mean the wings and boots you can unlock
**I did the math, if you get 60 vanguard merits every 30 months, that breaks down to 20 a month or 1,200 in 60 months. This would give any 60+ month vet the ability to unlock the full Vanguard outfit OR a bunch of those temp powers and other unlock-ables.
Of course this is just an idea I thought id toss up in the air. -
Quote:Ummm by IOing are you talking about purples? How much effort?Though, I know a few dozen in my assorted coalitions and SG alone that are playing other games out of sheer frustration with market prices. Maybe that's just my mileage; it could well just be that I happen to socialize with the unrelatedly mashed-up social circles that just /happen/ to all be people that do put quite a bit of effort into accruing wealth and /still/ can't afford to IO their toons how they'd like!
Or maybe we're all just dumb. Yeah, that must be it.
What sort of experiment would convince you its not hard? Many times in market section there has been a level to 50, sell everything for 11 inf and see what you end up with, with most having 100+ million at the end. Thats very little effort, not even looking at last 5
Then a lvl 50 would earn a lot more with 'some effort' at 50.
How much INF do you think it takes to get set IOs, and what sort of IO out do you mean?
Quote:For some reason, I just don't hear anybody complaining about accolades being too hard to get. -
Quote:I agree. I think the EAT at 50 rewards grind more than skill. That's probably a point in favour of lowering the level requirement, if anything. Forcing people to grind an unloved character to 50 just to get an EAT probably isn't something that the devs want to do.
I am still sick of that MM -
I'ld really like some merit rewards for story arcs you particpate in - you'd have to either inflate the merit and merit prices or give a merit fraction. Be very hard to scale right.
IMO paper/radio missions dont need merits, as less travel time, lead to badges, temp powers, accloade etc.
And I agree that the redside get shaft, needs to be a lesser merit rate for FEDEXing. -
It did get me to grind the last 4 levels of my MM, which felt like it took forever, and the only reason I finnished her off was I thought it be faster than getting my next highest villain to 50.

Quote:Too TrueI imagine what the devs are doing is they've decided to make epic ATs the reward for new players who successfully complete the Praetorian content. So they'll ding 20, be ready to travel to Paragon or Rogue Isles, and unlock the epic ATs in one fell swoop.
With a touch of schadenfreude I imagine the disappointment on a new player's face as they leave the shiny confines of Praetoria and grind their new epic toon through the wasteland of early blueside content.
