AE Tickets amounts different on same team?

So my friend and I have been doing a lot of AE missions and we've noticed that there is a HUGE difference between the tickets we receive at the end of a mission. I understand that some mobs drop tickets randomly but shouldn't the end of mission bonus tickets be the same? We're the same level (we're in a leveling pact) so thats not an issue. For example the last map I received 205 tickets and he got 182 at mission completion. There have been other instances where I receive 180 and he got around 60. On occasion he does get more then I do, but its a safe bet I'll always get more.

Thanks

The end mission bonus is equal to (with a cap of I don't recall) how many tickets you got over the mission as drops from defeats.

My advice is to just stay as far away from AE these days. They've nerfed it so much that even creating a test mission with standard non-custom mobs will yeild lower XP than defeating the same level mobs at street level.

I'm serious, go try it yourself. Create a test mission and choose for example Skulls and defeat one in AE and then defeat the same Skull at the same level on the streets. You'll find at least a 10% difference lower in AE. It's not even worth it anymore.

You can thank all of those farmers for that one.

Do you have Patrol XP? Patrol XP doesn't apply to AE.

Yes because there was a team of 8 exploit farmers using the Paragon studios offices as a farm map. The fire kins would rush, the art dept demanding that the animations like chicken pull be taken out, then the brutes and tanks would rush synapse and demand buffing allies be nerfed, finally the arch/ment blaster and the fire psi dom rushed castle demanding xp in ae and psi shockwave get nerfed

Do you have the Master Architect accolade or Architect day job badge, and are you logging off in AE? That would give you a bonus to your tickets.

What? AE is still totally fun! You get to play missions that the people that play the game make themselves, I still play ae to play the story arcs that people put time into.

I did just do this and there was no xp drop you must have had patrol xp since it doesn't count in AE.

Honestly, the nerfs aren't that bad. I made a mission with a destructible object and two hostages, so 3 reductions in my experience. on my level 9 character +0 bosses were worth 204 exp. I pulled the hostages and object out, worth 227 exp. Seriously, not a big enough difference that I'm going to cry about it. AE works fine if you have legitimate missions.

That tends to affect ticket count. Plus, there just seems to be a degree of randomization to it.

And so on. I'm going to address the question at hand instead.

Back when I was spending time with the MA arcs-only SG, we often found that the end of the arc bonus tickets would vary wildly from person to person - one got 220, another 67, stuff like that. I don't know if we ever were able to determine what was up with that, we just kept playing.

Fairly sure it's because tickets are awarded like any other drop... enhancements, recipes and salvage all being converted into relative ticket value before being awarded...

(most) Every critter has a chance to drop something, and then that something is awarded to a random team member (in this case, converted into tickets). Then as far as I can tell, when the mission is completed, you are awarded tickets equal in number to how many you collected in the mission*.

*up to the cap; if you hit the ticket cap before completing the mission, you get no bonus tickets. The cap is determined roughly by the size of the map and the number of spawns therein. Interestingly, when you complete the mission, the cap resets, and any further tickets earned from defeats (that would have otherwise been blocked due to reaching the cap) can once more be earned (until you hit the cap again.)

This is all based off of my recollection of the system... it may have been drastically changed since then.

That was fixed quite a while ago. I don't use AE often, so I suppose it could have re-broken, but if it did, I'm sure it'll be fixed again fairly quickly.
