Patch notes for build 1800.201003300904.20T5r.

COMBINED

Powers

General

  • Corrected an error in Critter powers which could prevent them from being shut down in appropriate circumstances. Good examples are Reichsman keeping his max Resistance despite being shot with the Dimensional Grounding Ray, Green Mito's in the Lady Grey Task Force keeping their Healing Aura despite being held, and some critters retaining Hide when damaged.

Powers Customization
  • Characters that had customized powers in Issue16 will no longer lose customization the first time they log in to Issue 17.

Mission Architect
  • Fixed a bug that was granting too large a reward to custom critters with Build Up or similar powers.
  • Removed Koago (of the Minions of Igneous group) from the list of selectable bosses. Any missions that contain this critter may now be invalid.

Rewards
  • Removed the rewards for all ‘errand’ tasks within missions. These small rewards were exploitable with the new mission abandonment feature. Mission completion rewards are not affected, including patrol missions.

Auction House
  • If the MAKE OFFER and POST are disabled due to too much activity, you will no longer be spammed with a huge number of announcements telling you about it.
  • If the MAKE OFFER and POST are disabled due to too much activity, the buttons will become active again after a short time as they are supposed to, instead of remaining greyed out until the player logs out and logs back in again.

City Zones
  • Midnighter Club - Fixed a bug that sometimes caused characters to get stuck in the ground when moving between the Midnighter Club and Cimerora.

Global Email
  • Messages with "<". "%", and "&" in the subject line will no longer be garbled.
  • Fixed a crash if you attach an enhancement to a global email, delete the enhancement, and then send the email.

Gameplay
  • Fixed a few more rare random crash bugs.
  • Fixed a rare crash when saving changes to custom powers.

Graphics
  • Fixed a crash for players using GeForce4 MX cards when creating a new character and getting to the 'name' screen. It may also clear up other crashes and issues with headshots/bodyshots on lower end graphics cards.

CITY OF HEROES
  • None

CITY OF VILLAINS
  • None

Hmh, and it also seems I can't claim items (salvage) mailed to myself after the patch. Well, actually it seems there is some sort of mail delay now as I could claim them after waiting for a bit (between edits).

Oh and hitting back while respeccing causes the game to freeze.

Still no word on what set MM Trip Mine should really take. :< *goes back to workings*

Thanks for the list of bug fixes/patch notes. Although the list is short, it shows the patch addresses some important issues (e.g. reimbursing toons with custom power colors *YEA*) and the explanations given by Avatea are short but descriptive and comprehensible. This is service!! Thank you devs!!

And, btw, if I saw a duck as large as "The Coming Storm"'s avatar, then I'd think there'd be a Coming Storm. :\

A few of the guys I team with a lot on Defiant have just tested the LGTF and were still unable to kill Hami as the greens were still over healing. Not sure if anyone else has had the same problems or tried it out yet. We the LGTF on a regular basis and have never had any trouble before so seems to be a problem still.

I cant log on to any servers: The game client was unable to connect to the login server. This may be due to a local network issue such as a firewall block, or may be because the login server is down for maintenance. Please check your network settings and try again, or check http://www.cityofheroes.com/servers/index.html for current server status. Is there something i'm missing, cause I don't see anything written about this? All servers except for Virtue are up and I can't even connect to the login server! HELP....

Castle posted yesterday regarding the fix for this:

Can somebody explain this? Does it infinitely spawn exp or what?

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

No xp for completing a hunt mission. If this is the case, can we have all non story-arc hunt missions removed from the game now?

I'm not sure how it was determined that we will be reimbursed for losing customizations to our powers. The fix listed for power customization is extremely vague, a little clarification would be in order.

This is what is in the patch notes:

Powers Customization
  • Characters that had customized powers in Issue16 will no longer lose customization the first time they log in to Issue 17.
Okay, so what happens to the influence and costume tokens I spent on 37 characters to fix their nerfed customizations? Will there be a reimbursement of the tokens and influence? Or, and this is how I read it, if you haven't logged on to Issue 17 yet, you're golden. Nothing will happen from this day forward.

Oh, I read that as Castle meaning the Mito fix is not in the patch. The Release notes have been wrong before where it's a direct cut'n'paste from Training Room yet some features hasn't gone live ( the Glue Arrow 'fix' being one example ).

Anyway, I see they fixed the issue with Custom powers being removed, and gave out costume tokens rather than restore them, so I guess I'm off to redo a few hundred costume slots.

im fairly sure that if you havent changed to the costume or logged on to the character yet, that they should not have any problems hereafter, however if you have logged on to a toon you may have to fix a costume or 2 since it would have defaulted to original and thats just power customization (which is relatively cheap from remaking your entire costume)

They have given out 1 free costume token per costume slot (I checked with a new character that had previously had no tokens).

It is mentioned at the bottom of the Live Server Publish Announcement

Could someone give me an example of what this refers to? I'm having a hard time coming up with anything significant enough to warrant a change.

Thank you, Katze! I am sorry I had to ask, there is a ton of places they post stuff and I just thought I'd blurt it out and pray for a savior.

I am a bit confused.

The game version are listed as identical to the one on test, and that includes the following patch notes:

I'm not sure if they just have been missed in the Live ones, or they actually aren't included.

Maybe glowies don't give extra xp to clicker anymore, or something like that?!

As I stated above, this seems to have also nuked xp given for hunt missions.
