  1. Nope, the guy was a tool. Since the SSK went live I've had so many people asking to join me on the team I gave up searching if someone left. As long as you are polite (and your tell was) then I would give one of the responses you listed, usually with a good luck if we are full.

It's also possible some of the EU players playing NA side will come back to Union and Defiant in search of teams in their time zone.

Sean Connery has played more nationalities that most other actors (I'm sure I heard more than any other actors, but can't be sure) and not once has he had anything other than his broad scottish accent.

As for trying to speak another language when in the country, as an english speaker this is very hard. Locals tend to find it easier to speak english. A good tip I've picked up while travelling Europe is to learn hello, please and thank you and the locals tend to appreciate the effort (and thats not belitteling the locals, just saying a little effort goes a long way.)
  4. It could make an interesting mastermind set, instead of summoning minions you summon copies of yourself. Of course it would require pet customisation first.

If you are over 18, you need to watch Rocky Horror Picture Show before making comments like that. If you are under 18... wait a few years. It's a good show, better live I hear, but the original is something special.

I don't think there is any chance the band used Touche given it's not pronounced tush.

That's my point. We don't have any travel powers with multiple animations, be it in a single power or multiple powers. All of the prestige sprints have different visual effects, but use the same animations.

I think some of you guys are making the assumption that because we can have different visual effects for travel powers, and other powers can have both different VFX and different animations, that travel powers could also have different animations...but that's not the case.

Movement modes are not the same as powers.
See the thing about this is I would accept having to use a different power button for this like I do with the ninja run. Give it the same stats as sprint and just have a different button for each different animation.

As for not having a travel power with different animations I would consider the different fly poses as different animations, they just aren't tied down.

    Vet rewards

Agreed, it appears to be a rather common problem, but only for some accounts. Personally mine appear on time every time, but I have seen a lot of people posting about not getting them. Was this happening on previous rewards (looking at your join date you should have at least 18 months unless you unsubbed at some point)?

We haven't made any firm decisions to do or not do customization for Epic Archetypes or patron powers. Ancillary powers is perfectly reasonable, but we wouldn't be able to do those without doing patron powers at the same time...even though we hate villains.
Thing about this it's still me using the power, I may gain the ability to use it from a patron (or kheld) but it's me using it. If someone shows me how to draw a circle and they use a red pen but mine is blue then circles I draw will be blue, not red.

Given that everytime this comes up the overwhelming majority on the forums also give this a resounding No (you know we do, we did last time this came up and ran to 20 pages) I think you'll find that it's fairly representative of the community that cares.
  13. I like this challenge, it's a great idea. Maybe to avoid the heat about the weeks notice, you can list some times that you will likely be online, and also maybe your global so someone can send you a global tell and, if you're free, you can go to their server of choice and take up their challenge.

Edit: Guess I should hold a CC in Pocket D and give away a bunch of merits or something like that. Thanks for the inspiration.
No worries. Unfortunatly as I understand it you can't give Merits away, although you could give the promise of a number of Merits to be spent on behalf of the winner, so you go with them and buy the recipie/salvage the winner wants.

Huh... you learn something new everyday.

And welcome to the game, hope you stick around.

(and here is the one issue with the merged boards... without asking there is no way to know if a player is on the NA or EU servers so it makes offering help ingame a little more...umm...uncertain.)

    Too much loot.

Buy some recipies that sell for good inf and drop them on newbies in Atlas. You clearly don't need the inf or merits for your toons so this is a good generous way to greet newbies.

While it's not ROFL funny, I'm game to try some of those things. I did snicker at skipping stones outside WW. Except mine always sink.
  18. I have an Emp/arch fender who I really enjoyed playing untill I tried an ITF with a tank that insisted my sole job was to keep them alive. The complaints and attitude of the tank ruined the fun I had with him. But I did almost exclusivly team with him as I found the attacks weren't sufficient at lower levels.

Having three different characters is a bit of a pain, so atm I have the Defender and the Blaster version (I deleted the old blaster at damn level 32 to make way for the damn scrapper and ended up damn deleting the damn thing damn anyway! /still bitter)

Starting over from 1 on the same character would be nice. Given build switching is on a 15 minute timer as it is...thats actually longer than logging out and switching toons, so..hardly exploitable.
Except that the OP says a different secondary... so you would still be the same AT. Although I quite like both ideas. I have a soft spot for my current 50 blaster, would enjoy trying him as a tank or fender.

Would you rather they added new content to the game, leaving these arcs in there too, or removing the current arcs and revise them? As someone who is new to the game I prefer the former. Sure, you may have played these over and over and be well sick of them. I don't mind them, it's good XP and recipie drops, sure, I got sick of visiting dimensions to close rips, but some of us haven't played this stuff before.

Most likely because the Tanking role is a primarily single occupation where as 2 support/damage dealers can work in tandam easier.

To the OP, generally I would just let people get on with it, if the team is going well then what does it matter, just get in there and mix it up. If the team is dying, but you aren't, just have a chuckle to yourself, and make jokes at their expense as you stand there cleaning up after.
